Las Vegas takes top spot as Honeymoon Destination

It's official - Las Vegas is the most popular spot for honeymooners.

It's official - Las Vegas is the most popular spot for honeymooners.

Despite being coined ‘Sin City’ and also being notorious for being the main go-to destination for bachelor and bachelorette parties, Las Vegas surprisingly takes the cake for also being the top honeymoon destination for newlyweds.

Wait, what?

Yes, you read that correctly! Las Vegas takes the top spot for honeymooners around the world! The stats were curated from data of users’ check-in statuses on Facebook. With a majority being international newlyweds, the results did not lie, as majority of honeymooners visited heaps of Las Vegas venues for their post-wedding ceremony celebrations.

Nothing says love quite like gambling, pool parties, and booze!

In all seriousness however, we can see its appeal. While Las Vegas has its fair share of saucy activities, it also has no shortage of romantic things to do!

The glitzy lights that blanket the city make for some incredible and very romantic views (check out the Foundation Room at the Mandalay Bay, or Sky Combat Ace). The city also promises some of the best world-class dining experiences with the renowned Wolfgang Puck Restaurants residing along the strip, and plenty of spas to indulge in a little R&R (the Wynn is one of the most popular).

Aside from all of the romantic venues, perfectly executed themed hotels allow newlyweds to trot around the globe without leaving the strip. After all, it’s the only city where you can visit Venice, Paris, and a tropical paradise, all in one day.

While it’s the place to bid adieu to your single days, it’s also the perfect place to celebrate love!
