Revamp of London’s Tower Bridge

London's Tower Bridge

London's Tower Bridge

A few months back, we mentioned the Eiffel Tower’s snazzy new makeover, with its transparent glass floors. I’m guessing that suspended glass floors are becoming a “thing” – it looks like France’s neighbors up north are following suit!

The iconic Tower Bridge in London will now offer death-defying views from above, as it gets a face lift with not one, but two new six-panel glass observation decks. The new installments made their debut earlier this week, with the Western walkway being the first to offer visitors a genuine adrenaline rush, with panoramic city and bird-eye views of the River Thames – all while suspended 138ft above the bridge.

Not only does this new walkway offer breathtaking (and somewhat terrifying views) of the river below, but visitors can also check out the bridge moving beneath their feet, as it lifts to allow ships pass.

The Western tower walkway is already open to visitors, while the Eastern tower will open its doors during the beginning of December. Admission is $14, which is not bad for an adrenaline pumping experience.

Make sure to check it out if you’re in the area!
