Sunscape Curacao is an all-inclusive gem on the Dutch Island.
Our World Traveler and Travel Advisor Christine recently returned from the Sunscape Curacao and gave us a full review. Here is what she had to say:
"Curacao – part of the ABC (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao) Islands is just off the cost of Venezuela and is outside of the hurricane belt. Most residents speak at least 4 languages – Papiamento, Dutch, Spanish, English and sometimes French too. The food is delicious and the beaches are stunning and the island is home to the wonderful family friendly Sunscape Curacao.
Sunscape Curacao is an all-inclusive gem on this Dutch-colony island. It’s located close to downtown Willemstad, and the resort offers a free shuttle here twice per day. The resort is made up of a series of low-rise buildings, most of which are within 200 meters of the beach, so it’s quite common to have a partial ocean view even if you booked a garden view room!
The beach has a rock break around it, which means it’s ideal for kayaking and paddle boarding. Every day there would be tons of people snorkeling (tip: bring a ziplock bag from home and grab some buns or fresh fruit at the buffet to feed the fish). There is also a dive shop right at the resort.
Rooms are a decent size, and have comfortable beds. Upgrade to SunClub for extra amenities, larger living space, and access to the VIP Lounge & private pool – you’ll be glad you did!
There are tons of dining options (unlimited a la carte dining & no reservations required) and lots of bars to keep your thirst at bay. The buffet actually has a lot of local dishes so you can try exotic items like Frikandel (sausage) and Croquettes (deep fried battered beef dumplings) – they’re delicious!
Curacao is so different and unique – it’s a perfect setting for your destination wedding. Say, “I do” then join your guests right on the beach for the perfect sunset dinner.
Your first day as husband and wife couldn’t have a more perfect setting. I met with the wedding coordinator, Chrystal, and she truly cares as much for her brides’ weddings as they do."
