If you’re looking into having a destination wedding, this is fantastic news! There are a variety of perks and advantages in having a destination wedding. We believe this is a prime choice for any couple looking to have a unique and unforgettable day.

While the thought of having a destination wedding may be overwhelming, our Destination Wedding Specialists have these tips to make your planning a breeze!

"Start planning early as many of the most popular resorts and destinations are booking up a year in advance. We recommend looking into your preferred destinations at least 12 to 15 months in advance if you have a larger group.  It’s also good to think about the specific time you’d want to hold your ceremony. Sunset is the most popular time to get married and this gets booked up fast. If you work with one of our Destination Wedding Specialists, they will coordinate both your preferred date and also work with the hotel to hold group space so you don’t have to worry about anything." - Ashley

"Don’t be afraid to look at different destinations. Group rates often mean that you are often paying the same travel rates as Mexico, so why not give your guests a chance to experience an entirely new destination with unique culture, history, and sights to see! From the southern Caribbean Dutch island of Curacao to the powder white beaches of Grand Bahama Island, there are plenty of unique destinations where you can dazzle your guests." - Christine

"Always..always…always use a travel advisor that specializes in destination weddings, they have very close relationships with the hotels, onsite coordinators and travel suppliers that can plan your big day efficiently (sometimes with additional perks). They also know the ins and outs of complicated wedding contracts, helping you save money and avoid any additional costs further down the planning process." - Dori

"Anticipate some bumps along the way, but know that all issues will be resolved with your wedding team!" - Susan

"Follow your heart!  This is your big day and the decisions you make at the beginning on destination and resort will affect everything that you and your guests will experience during your stay.  Your Destination Wedding Specialist will give you the best advice, based on your ‘wish list.’ Trust in their experience and knowledge, and embrace the process!" - Pamela
