Nice but the beach was a little rocky

This is my first time ever going to Mexico and I’ve gotta say I’m a little bit disappointed. I like the staff for the most part but if you order any kind of room service they take hours to show up. Along with that, the food is very bland and has been giving me constant stomach problems and diarrhea (sorry TMI) I also have to say the people on the beach are quite annoying. People pay a lot of money to stay at these hotels and relax. But I can assure you, you won’t be relaxing on the beach due to all the people constantly coercing you into buying things for way over what it’s worth. Other than all of that, the hotel itself is pretty and the staff is pretty nice for the most part, but if you’re looking for the real Mexico experience everyone talks about this might not be your place. I was told that the food and fruit in Mexico is to die for but the food here is pretty bland and even I could make a better meal at home. And the fruit isn’t ripe or it’s almost rotting. (They have good yogurt though) and the only wildlife you’ll see is some birds. That’s all I really have to say. I’m disappointed but thank you to the staff for making it a bit better than it would’ve been at least the staff weren’t bad

I really liked the friendliness of the waiters as well as the workers, the food is great and the rooms even better.

The beaches north of here are said to be better. The bar tenders were really good but the food for an all inclusive was just ok. It was like being on a cruise but on land. I actually enjoy cruises more.

Incredible treatment, delicious food, super clean establishment, I loved it! I would return

A very cool and quiet beach

Had the best time! Luis was so fun and made sure we were entertained by the pool!! Do a dance class with him, I promise you won’t regret it! The staff were all so welcoming and helpful, we will definitely be coming back :)

Excellent hotel for vacation

One of the worst experiences I have ever had, it is really not cheap at all and the service leaves a lot to be desired. Don't waste your money here, the terrible food, not to mention the discounted drinks, horrible tasting ice, etc.

Delighted with the place, I went on my birthday in May 2023 and the guys in the atmosphere are the best, the truth is I highly recommend it 10/10 I love giving opinions on something that I really like. Mainly to Luis Montana for his dynamics that I just won a super cute purse

Our stay at Sunscape resort was amazing. There was plenty of entertainment, the staff made sure to keep the place upbeat and had good energy all around. During the day there was lots of different dance performances. We participated in a dance class with Luis. He was so creative with the routines and made it very easy for us to follow along. He made these dances so fun, was definitely the highlight of our day! Every morning we went for breakfast at the buffet, we would choose to sit in Mario’s section as he would go above and beyond for us to make sure our meal was good and that we had everything we needed. All the bartenders were amazing especially Omar at the swim up bar, and Nestor at the bar inside. They Worked efficiently to serve everyone in a timely manor and were very sweet overall.

Lack of chairs at the beach must not leave because he takes away the towel to give chair to other people so walk 30 minutes max because return after more chairs
In lobby no tables or very ordinary chairs
Immediately check out no more service refusal to give a hamberguer
Buffet hours for dinner open only from 1:30 p.m.

Sunscape is an amazing resort. Beautiful views, we opted for the deluxe oceanfront suites. Oscar Ake is the best and really helped us with familiarity of the resort and making sure all was up to par. Thank you! We will be back. 10/10

The area outside is nice, the swimming pool is good (a few tiles missing, but generally speaking not an issue), there is live entertainment and games.
The restaurant is ok: not great, but overall good: we definitely liked the breakfast, too bad that lunch was starting pretty late.
The room might use some renovation: while it's clean, there are things that look old and are not in great shape. But we didn't spend much time in the room!

We decided to book a last minute vacation and came across Sunscape. It was a great price and had a few things for kids so we booked. I was nervous about some of the recent reviews but I was willing to give it a try, and we are glad we did.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. We requested a crib and they had it all set up for us before we checked in. There is wifi throughout the resort which was nice. If we needed anything we could call down and they were on it (mostly needed more water/towels)

We had a deluxe partial ocean view room for our family of 4. Our view was stunning but was looking into the condominium next door which we were a bit disappointed in but it was actually better because we found it a lot quieter on that side. The room was ok. It definitely needed some maintenance work (mirror hanging off wall, shower leaking). We had no problem with hot water and the air conditioner worked well. Beds were clean and comfy. The glass sliding doors were great to have open to let in the ocean breeze.

The resort was in a perfect location. Close to stores/restaurants and the beach is beautiful. We spent most of the time by the pool as there wasn’t much seating on the beach. The pool is heated and large. Lots of room to swim, activities going on throughout the day. The resort activity staff were so much fun and kept the kids entertained. The pool needs a few tiles fixed/replaced but it wasn’t anything that bothered us. They have great drink service around the pool and we liked that they didn’t allow food around the pool as it attracted birds.

The shows at night were a blast and very well done. We liked all the performances and the special events/dinners they set up on the beach.

The one thing I found most of the previous reviews had mentioned was that the food wasn’t great. I would have to agree. We ate at the Seaside Grill 5 nights out of the 7 days we stayed as they only have two other restaurants to choose from. For lunch the snack shack was open but was the same food everyday. No taste to most of the food. Luckily the cafe had a few options. No reservations had to be made which was nice and the lineups weren’t bad.

Overall we had a blast and enjoyed our stay! We aren’t the type to stay at a resort more then once but I would still recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 3.5-4 star resort, has kids, loves a smaller resort, great location, great weather and friendly people.

Please beware of the sneaky scam the staff at the front desk tries to get tourist with. I checked out today, I returned my keys and was asked to give the bracelet to a different lady named Veronica. My wrist band had broken and I was checking out. This Veronica lady insisted that I needed to pay $150 USD because she could not cut the wrist band from my hand and because the wrist band was broken. I refused to pay this as it was ridiculous. I had a plane to catch and she didn’t care at all. I was on my own for a reservation made for 5 people and yet she insisted that I couldn’t leave until I paid them $150USD for the wrist band I had already given to her. She said she had to charge me because she needed to cut it, I explain to her that it broke while I was on my jiu jitsu class, she didn’t care and said I still needed to pay and told security to not let me leave. I asked for a manager she refused to call a manager, I finally told her I would pay via credit card and that’s when I realized the scam she was trying to do, she said she couldn’t take the credit card that I needed to pay cash that I could used the ATM and pull cash. I said no.
I decided to walk out and drive off (I had a car rental) thankfully the personnel at the gate didn’t stop me.
Horrible customer service and what a horrible way to take advantage of the tourist when they know they are short on time to take a flight. I’m glad I have traveled to Mexico several times and I knew something wasn’t right with her approach.

The condominium tower has details of lack of maintenance... the doors are difficult to open and are swollen...
The closet doors derail...
Very good view from the balcony.

Unfortunately I was wrong to choose this hotel, it is old, the pillows smell dirty like the beach towels, it is worse, it is very small, it looks like a spa, they let you bring beers and do whatever you want, the staff is not attentive, I really don't recommend it, although it is a matter of taste. and it is respectable, me and my family did not like it at all, it is the first time that a hotel disappoints us.

I can't say enough good things about the staff here! They really helped make our stay here quite pleasant. The property was good. It was starting to show it's age a bit. The food was acceptable but not exceptional. The beach was clean. The ocean was cold but I was able to get used to it. They had beach chairs and palapas. My wife loved the yoga and zumba. The one stain was on the day we checked out. We had to wait for our transfer to the airport which was to arrive at the hotel at 4 PM. Checkout was at noon. The hotel charged us 50 pesos to store our luggage for those 4 hours and we were not allowed to access any part of the hotel except the lobby. It was annoying. Except for this the stay was good.

Worst ever service.
