In addition to the 24-hour room service, guests can enjoy a relaxing afternoon with poolside service, including roaming food carts featuring burgers, tacos, nachos, ceviche, and our favorite afternoon treat, mango con chile en palito (mango with chilis).

Bonus inclusion: The Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta offers all guests a complimentary jungle tour though the mountains behind the resort. We’ve experienced this tour and it’s worth checking out.

Perfect for families and couples, groups, gatherings, and weddings, the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta will ensure you return home refreshed, relaxed, and renewed.

Location: Directly on a secluded beach, surrounded by the Sierra Madre mountains, in beautiful Bahia de Banderas. Only 20 minutes south of downtown Puerto Vallarta and 30 minutes from the airport.

If you like UNCWEABLE steak, tasteless food and loud noise, non stop, this is the place for you. If you are looking for an elevated non fraternity like environment with edible food THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE. The spa is a complete joke. This is not a nice hotel and the staff are a bunch of liars. IT SMELLS LIKE SEWAGE. When we left they told us that they would give us 40,000 points and even elaborated on how many NIGHTS that would get us and where. We never got the POINTS and now I'm being told that's because we didn't uphold our end of the deal. I'm a lawyer. What end of a deal must one hold up WHERE thete is a gratuitous promise. YUCK.

Hyatt is always our 1st choice when we book a trip as we trust the quality but this time it was a bit disappointed. We have been at Hyatt in Cancun, Cabo and different locations in US but this experience in Puerto Vallarta was under our expectations.

Here are the issues we had during our stay at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta;

- Hygiene Level at room, rest rooms near pool area and the pool itself; after we arrived our room my wife found a big chunk of hair on the floor in bathroom, we called reception asap and informed about the issue but they never take action. (Pls see pictures attached) In addition to hygiene issue in our room, the restrooms around pool were pretty dirty, we couldn't use it for our toddler and everytime we had to go to our room which was pretty challenging and time consuming. Yesterday, we also found some food inside of the pool and unfortunately nobody was auditing the pool cleanliness. We left the pool as soon as we saw the food.
- Safety issue for kids; there are some safety risks for kids near the pool area and it was pretty concerning for us. We were surprised that those stuff were not fixed earlier. We also saw a lot empty glasses(not plastic) near pool and they were not picked up timely. If they are broken, those can really create issues for kids but also for adults. Please see the picture attached for the areas I found unsafe for kids.
- Long wait times at restaurants; Even though we had reservations for dinner, every day it was pretty challenging to even check-in to restaurants, it was not easy to wait in the line with 2 years old toddler. Moreover, we also waited 1.5 hrs to get our food last night at steakhouse!! Yes, 1.5hrs and our son was almost sleeping.. I understand that it's a busy season but this needs to be handled better by Hyatt, this hotel is being chosen by families and we come here for relaxing and not to get stressed!! Our son started crying once the food was delayed and my wife had to leave the restaurant to keep him busy and came back once the food is ready again.. I am even not mentioning how long we waited to get our drinks near pool area or 2nd drink at restaurants.
- Employees at Bar; I know it's an all inclusive resort and some people can go crazy. But the stuff was overall a bit looking sad and we were not feeling comfortable enough when we go and order our drink. It was a bit annoying to be honest.

We lost all of our dang minds when we checked in at the Club tower and discovered that we were upgraded to the Penthouse Presidential Suite: a 2 story corner suite on the top floor that has a living area, dining table for 8, a huge master’s bedroom on the 2nd floor with whirlpool tub, a separate sitting area with a pull-out couch and, drum roll….. its own private pool!!

Happy birthday to me!

Hyatt Ziva PV showed our whole family a really fantastic time. We rented beach cabanas ($99/day), enjoyed the adult-only pool, loved the privacy of the beach, danced at the bar, watched the gorgeous sunset from our room pool, indulged in spa services, chugged-a-lug top shelf alcohol, enjoyed our well-stocked room filled with snacks and drinks, basked in the 5 star service of the bartenders, club lounge servers and buffet staff. We were fine staying in the hotel vs going to Malecón day or night.

Beatriz Ulloa was an angel prior to my arrival (she patiently answered my emails) and she, together with Jorge Chavez, checked in with us daily to make sure we are well taken care of.

We made our restaurant reservations as soon as we checked in and we never had any problems finding a table good for 8 people. There were restaurants that noticeably had a shortage of servers, especially in the Mexican restaurant, but Martin impressively served with a smile all throughout. We appreciated the surprise champagne bottles and mini bday cakes as well as efficient room service!

I treated myself to the spa’s massage and body scrub. The hydrotherapy ‘ceremony’ before the actual service was already fantastic and Miguel’s relaxing massage was top notch. The facilities are very clean and the views are just 100% gorgeous!

The only wrinkle on this trip was Azael at the coffee shop who showed customer service isn’t his greatest strength as we ordered pastries and coffee. Was he already having a bad day before we walked in? Did he find it necessary to be rude to us because he had to make 4 affogatos and 4 lattes? He made the situation from bad to worse when he lied about his name (he said his name is Aster and that he doesn’t understand English) AND removed his nametag - behind the muffin display case - right before our very eyes!! **We had a conversation with GM Jorge Luis Ayala who apologized and assured us that he will look into the video**

Muchas gracias to Hyatt Ziva PV for a great birthday week! We highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning.

Since we arrived the attention was very good, it should be noted that we arrived at 10 in the morning and they received us without any problem, the kindness of all the staff was present in the 4 days of stay, they always care about making you feel comfortable To make reservations at the specialty restaurants, I liked that there is always availability even for the same night you arrive. The food in general is good, as are the drinks. Plus you don't need a bracelet or a towel card.
As an area of opportunity, the room we had had looked somewhat deteriorated, on the other hand, when there is an event, in this case a wedding, there is a lack of attention from the staff to the other guests.

Terrible attention from the pseudo manager JORGE CHAVEZ keeps us at check out because the service that was done through take off has not been settled, so if there is no payment how do they allow us to check in? He kept us for almost half an hour and gave us the exit... be careful how you conduct your clients!!! The reservation and payment was always confirmed with the bank

Great place to stay.

1. The private beach has strong waves, making it great for playing. If you stay for a few days, you will feel comfortable seeing pelicans diving right next to you. The water is not clear. It's a live sea with lots of fish, so it has a bit of a fishy smell. Don't expect anything like Hanauma Bay.
2. Restaurant and service are average. Not recommended for Asian restaurants.
Rather than being delicious, it's just edible.
3. The rooms and hotel facilities show signs of age.
It's a bit lacking compared to Hyatt Giva. Definitely inferior to the same hotel chain Los Cabos.
4. Centro is 10 minutes away by Uber. Perfect for buying souvenirs.
5. Most of the guests seem to be from North America. It is a cost-effective resort for families. Not luxury.

There is not much intention to visit again. Should I go if there is a super sale?

Amazing resort!!!! We spent 11 days (3 families) with kids 5, 9, 11 and 13. The resort was well maintained on a gorgeous, private sandy beach- best I’ve seen around PV. There was lots to do on site (beach volleyball, pools, fitness classes, Zumba, foam parties, kayak tours….). The staff went above and beyond- especially Orlando, Scarlett, Mala, Jorge to entertain and provide a wide range of activities each day. The food varied depending on where you ate. The buffet was consistent, with lots of options and friendly staff. BLAZE restaurant was the shining star- set in an open air palapa on the beach. It is open for breakfast and Lunch (no reservation needed) and dinner. The chef Esteban and his fantastic staff (especially Hector, Vanessa, Edgardo) went above and beyond every day - it was a 10/10 every meal. We will be back-such a wonderful, memorable holiday.

This hotel doesn't feel like a Ziva hotel. We are very disappointed because compared to other Zivas this one falls short in everything including food, rooms and entertainment. It's not a bad hotel, but it's not worth $500/night. Just go to Cancun or Montego Bay for that money.
Also, the beach here is very wavy so we didn't swim even once. The pools are pretty dirty too, so we were very disappointed. There is nothing here for the kids: no playground, no kids water area. Just a small kids club with a few activities.
This is our first time on the Pacific side and definitely the last one.

Very friendly staff

Private message about the day pass pricing and received an agent but no answer even though I asked several times

We were here for one week and 2 weeks would be better. The pools are great the food is very good and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I love this resort and plan to return in the future.

Highly recommend - great food, service and amazing beach front resort.

Can’t go wrong!!

No public access to the beach

The staff amazing they all made you feel welcome the rooms were clean everyday clean towels every time. The entertainment Mala, Jorge, Fernanda, Orlando bartenders the waitresses the food big selection, photography people wow I highly recommend. Taking them all in my heart
Sincerely

Hyatt Ziva was SO much fun for my family.

The entertainment team was AMAZING. Specifically, Mala and Jorge led some wonderful yoga on the beach and water Zumba. They had high energy to keep the fun going for foam parties and the bartending competition. Fernanda was always SO friendly and seemed to help out with everything. Her smile was so heartfelt and she seemed to really care about everyone she interacted with. Orlando led a wonderful kayak tour and really paid careful attention to the safety of everyone kayaking. He seemed very knowledgeable about the area and had a great sense of humor on the tour.

The photography team was also super great. Their photos turned out wonderful and they really accommodated us getting our photos quickly as we were checking out.

As far as food goes, we had a great time with Miguel at the Italian restaurant. That was definitely the tastiest food. The Mexican restaurant had the largest variety of options for people with gluten allergies. All restaurants accommodated our need for gluten free options.

There were times that the pool bar got busy and we wouldn’t always get the drink we had asked for but we cant complain too much about that.

It was overall a great week in Puerto Vallarta and we would definitely stay at Hyatt Ziva again in the future!

My husband and I decided to stay here for 3 nights (January 2024) and immediately regretted our decision.

Short review:
The staff were friendly and helpful but the noisy construction and food quality killed the experience for us. The buffet at lunchtime was borderline comparable to college cafeteria. For this price point, you should go to another all-inclusive — our friends stayed at the Hilton and had a much better time. The room service was also pretty sad. Our order was delivered in takeout containers. Pizza was inedible but the sandwich and fries were ok.

Long review:
Our room was good, the bed was comfortable and bathroom was spacious. No complaints on this end.

There are 5 restaurants on the property but during breakfast/lunch, only 1-2 spots are actually open.
The buffet was closed at noon, which was really odd considering it being prime lunch hour.
The first night, we tried to go to the Italian restaurant (since it had the best rating) and they were closed for a private event. We finally got a reservation the last night and our first item came out cold and the ossobuco had a long blonde hair in it. Overall, everything tasted very average for being the best rated option.

I’m shocked that this hotel had such a high rating because there’s no way it deserves a 4.5. We booked this place based on those glowing reviews and was fooled. I’m pretty sure some of these are not real, there’s no way people have such low standards. I would not recommend staying here, not worth your money at all.

They have blocked access to the beach, which is illegal.

The views were beautiful. The service and staff were outstanding. We will definitely keep coming back.

My son had his wedding there at it was beautiful. My only two complaints were the lunch buffet was not the best. The breakfast buffet was good. Did not have the dinner buffet.
The other issue was that I rented a swim up pool room. I was the very 1st room at the end of the building. Room 1101. When going out on our patio our view of the ocean was nice if you could overlook the roof of the Asian restaurant that connected to the resort on the beach level. The area between our pool and the roof could had been cleaned better. It did not leave a good first impression. Other than that being personal preference we enjoyed our week and would go back again.
