Dori was bit by the travel bug at a very early age and with 35+ countries stamped in her passport, her next destination was always in sight before ever landing back home. She has been active in the travel industry since the early '90s, constantly innovating with the changing travel trends. Dori is responsible for the day to day operations of the Travel Specialists division, as well as an expert in luxury travel and destination weddings.
My (new!) husband and I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Dori when planning our destination wedding. Immediately from our introduction I knew we had been paired up with a complete gem! Dori was always extremely attentive to my emails and always seemed so knowledgeable whenever I had questions (and there were lots of them!). It honestly felt like Dori was with us along every step of the booking process, always very accommodating to my several requests. I thought booking a large group for our wedding would be stressful but Dori made it completely stress free for us. My guests all loved dealing with Dori which was also an added bonus. I wouldn?t hesitate in recommending Dori to help plan your big day. Thank you Dori!
We know that having a unique and one-of-a-kind wedding is something that couples desire. When you step foot at the brand new Hyatt Ziva Cancun, you can be assured that "unique" and "one-of-a-kind" are things that the property can effortlessly achieve.
One of the things that set Escapes.ca apart from other travel companies is that our team is comprised of travelers. We’ll give you candid and honest insight about a variety of destinations, because we’ve been there- not because we’ve Googled it.
Worldly knowledge aside, Dori adds a daily dose of sass here at Escapes HQ. She’s the coolest, funniest, wittiest, and knows how to vacay better than anyone at Escapes.
What would we do without her?!
We asked her to sound off on her destination of choice and it’s no surprise that she chose the stunning yet rugged destination of Los Cabos Mexico. This is what she has to say:
What I love most about Cabo is that it offers so much more beyond the resort.
You can explore so many little nooks and crannies all along the Baja.
I recently had the pleasure of driving up to La Paz. Unfortunately I missed the Whale Shark season. But I did come across an amazing roadside cantina that hosts magnificent art and music.
There are a plethora of bonuses about this desert oasis. While there are a lot of all-inclusive resorts found along the strip, a lot of the hotels are not all-inclusive, so you can access them to have a drink or a bite to eat. I was fortunate enough to catch the sunset while tucked away in a rock cut on the Pacific Ocean while I dined on scallops caught that day. An experience like that is hard to come by with any other destination!
The next day, I popped into a hotel of the stars, for a quick peek at their new art installations. Unfortunately I was about a year late running into Adam Levine and his wedding party. Fingers crossed I’ll run into them next year on their anniversary.
So please keep in mind when you are planning your destination wedding, or traveling with a group and you are worried that your guests will be bored “stuck in resort all week,” trust me…they will never be bored when they’re in San Jose del Cabo.
Without a doubt, there are a TON of things to do around the destination. But amongst all of this, I have to admit, there is nothing sweeter than spending a day out exploring, than coming back to the resort (all covered in dust and sun kissed) and walking into your crystal clear pool, swimming up to the bar, and ordering a nice cold cerveza.
Contact Dori if you’re interested in jet-setting and having your wedding on the breathtaking destination of Los Cabos.
