"My husband & I visited the first week of January and we had a great time. The hotel is about 40 minutes south of the Cancun airport and the grounds are quite large.
The rooms are very comfortable, clean and all offer a balcony or small patio. The beds were a bit hard though. There are 5 a la carte restaurants that you need just make a reservation for and are included. Dress is casual but men have to wear long pants and a shirt, no shorts or tank tops allowed. There are 3-4 buffet restaurants serving food at set times during the day but you can eat pretty well anytime during the day.
The entertainment was top notch, the dancers are all very professional and the choreographer is a young lady from Canada. Yea Go Canada. Canadians actually outnumbered all the other nationalities represented there but you could hear all kinds of languages. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Hola to all. They all speak English to some degree. Make sure you look at the activity board over by the tennis courts. We found out the last day that they have archery and a rifle range. We just got time in for archery. Also, make sure to take an excursion somewhere. There are lots to see and experience and not that expensive. We
went to a new park right next door called XPLOR. What a great day. They have ziplining which is not scary even though you are above the tree tops, 16 tower runs in all. There are amphibious vehicles that you drive yourself with one other person through the jungle, through tunnels below ground level and through some water.
The most fun and incredible to see are the underground caves, rivers that you can swim/walk through or raft through. The park features a huge network of underground caves full of stalagtites and stalagmites of incredible size and a quantity unlike anything I have seen before. E"
