"MAR 6-20th 2008 Barcelo Bavaro Caribe Beach Hotel when we first arrive it was evening the staff was very helpful , at the front desk they speak various languages like french , german, inglish, italian and of course spanish. (do polish up your spanish if you are going to a latin speaking country common sense) the room was cleaned, but the pillows not the bed smelled like moist of course it's a tropical place the room was close so the moisture is going to build up .. anyways as soon as i asked for new pillows they brought them in and asked if everything else was ok. everything worked the phone the tv coffe maker and there is even a safe in the room to keep your valuables. they cleaned the room daily and washed the tub with bleach every day!! the free drinks kept coming every day and fresh towels the cleaner were very nice and never ever asked or expected tips.. the same at the bar by the pool so i tipped when i felt it was deserved! i had a little accident and the resort clinic staff was absolutely outstanding i was taken to the hospital in a benz ambulance with 2 paramedics in the back fluent in inglish top service the doctor was a real professional and the staff as well , they took x-ray of my entired head immediately they contacted my insurance company and i didn't have to worry about a thing meds and care i got a call from the nurses and the doctor himself the very next day to check on me and the nurses to make sure i was taking my meds on time. it was top class medical service."

"We loved this resort. It had so many activities that you could do. You can use all the different facilities at all 5 of the surrounding resorts. They had trolleys that you could jump on and take you anywhere in the resort. There was dancing, casinos, golf and four different pools. The staff were very friendly, even if they didn't speak english they would still smile. The beach was beautiful with lots of water sports. The food was excellent and there were many restaurant choices. Our only complaint was that the bathrooms were run down and we only had cold water in our shower. They came up and tried to fix it twice. I'm sure that if I would have kept complaining that they would have given us a different room. But our room had a fantastic view of the ocean. So we lived with the cold water. "
