Our Opinion of Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana

One of the largest resorts, but with its size comes great food, selection and service. Expect to do a lot of walking or taking the shuttle to and from the beach if you are situated near the back. Overall, a true 4.5 star.

Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana Hotel Reviews

"This place is amazing! The grounds are beautiful, the employees are constantly cleaning and are very friendly. Our room was very nice, the maid did a great job everyday tidying up and decorating our bed and bathrooms with rose petals and swans. The beach is absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely recommend this resort to everybody, I have no complaints at all. The food was great, staff was very friendly and helpful, and there was no need to even leave the resort! This place has everything and I cannot wait to visit again. I would not visit anywhere else."

"It looks just like its out of a magazine. I went down for a wedding with a very large group of people and it was one of the most perfect weeks of my life. The rooms were clean and very large. The resort itself is HUGE, it was kind of difficult to keep track of the people you were with if you did get separated. The food was excellent as were the people. We took part in a coconut throwing contest on the beach and ping pong tournaments by the pool, needless to say you never run out of things to do. The Disco and Kereoke were also so much fun. There is really no need to leave the resort because everything is there."

"Room was very nce and resort is very clean. People are helpful and extremely friendly :) Ala carte dining was excellent, buffet too! Pools closed at 6 and the swim up bars started cleaning up 30 to 45 minutes before 6:00pm which seemed early. The mian lounge closed at 11:00 sharp for last drink so you had to go to the nightclub or casino (casino charged for drinks) after 11:00. Would have been nice to sit in a more quiet spot like the main lounge and not be enclosed in a smoke filled club or casino... "

"Amazing place and extremely nice people. I would definatly reccommend this place to anyone. I am a person in their early 20's and went with a group of people in their early 20s and we all had a blast. The place is so beautiful, and the workers work really hard to keep the place clean and beautiful. The food is really good everywhere we went. Just watch the burgers in the snack bar because I had one that wasn't cooked. I would say this place would be an amazing place for anyone at any age. "

"After 9 years of travelling to the Caribbean I found a resort that I can honestly say I had no complaint with. All though this resort is huge it is well run and as clean as any I have ever stayed at. The food was above average and the service was second to none. There is nothing you could possibly want that this resort dosen't offer you. "

"Beautiful and very clean!! Buffets and A La Cartes provided wonderful food. But....they are understaffed for a resort that sells itself as a 5 star. They also need to improve English as a second language. It was even difficult to order a beverage because many did not understand or speak any english (zero!). "

"Not a hotel for seasoned vacationers, but great for ppl who don't know there is better out there! Upon arrival, check in was pushed back until 5pm so we could not get into our rooms to change. 1/2 of our group got upgraded while the others didn't which made for difficult eating arrangements. Rooms were nothing special, not very clean compared to other resorts. Food was blah, again nothing to write home about. Beds were the worst I have ever slept on. Staff was friendly but spoke no English at all. Everything is in Spanish!! Had to call over and over for simple requests. Not clear as to what is available for what guests, too many different wrist bands categorizing guests. Water sports are not really free, you have to pay for a lesson prior to using them. Would not go again, have stayed at an Iberostar and had a much better time. "

"Entrance foyer was grand very large and nice at night around piano bar. Food was very good with lots of choice. It was nice to eat down by the beach/pool with lots of choice. The people work very hard there as there is steady food available 24 hours a day. Rooms and resort are very clean I would recommend this place and I would go back."
