Our Opinion of Riu Lupita

On the lower end of the RIU hotel scale, the RIU Lupita is still a good hotel as long as you understand what you are getting. This hotel is not on the beach, is smaller and does not have as many facilities as the other RIU hotels in the area. However, the service, food and rooms are still up to par with the other RIU resorts. The package price on this resort is often very attractive.

Riu Lupita Information

Formerly the Caribbean Village Playacar, the delightful RIU Lupita is now part of the RIU family. Nestled in a lush, tropical forest by a championship 18-hole golf course and has undergone a $10 million refurbishment, offering an exciting program for activities, entertainment and fun!

Location: In Playa del Carmen, 10 minute drive to the beach, 45 minute drive from the airport, 60 minutes to Cancun.
