Our Opinion of Allegro Playacar

The Allegro Playacar offers a close proximity to the town of Playa del Carmen. Guests can easily stroll into town and enjoy the shops, restaurants and bars. Lots of repeat clientele continue to visit this 4 star resort. The food and rooms are nice but nothing special. Strong tides have caused some beach erosion in front of the hotel. If the price is right this hotel is good for couples and singles looking to be close to Playa del Carmen.

Allegro Playacar Information

Located in the heart of the Playacar resort area, the Allegro Playacar by Occidental features its charming thatch-roofed villas, providing all the comforts of home. After a splendid transformation and reopening in February 2006, all guest rooms at the Allegro Playacar have been completely redesigned and now boast sun-kissed yellow walls with orange accents and all new furniture. The rooms at the Allegro Playacar also feature walk-in closet space, and a hip bathroom complete with modern basin sinks. Only minutes from the Mexican town of Playa del Carmen, close to shopping and local sightseeing.

Location: Oceanfront resort, 5 minutes from Playa del Carmen, 45 minutes from the airport.
