The Allegro Playacar offers a close proximity to the town of Playa del Carmen. Guests can easily stroll into town and enjoy the shops, restaurants and bars. Lots of repeat clientele continue to visit this 4 star resort. The food and rooms are nice but nothing special. Strong tides have caused some beach erosion in front of the hotel. If the price is right this hotel is good for couples and singles looking to be close to Playa del Carmen.

The cool circus show, the luxury pools and a very nice beach
We stayed as a group of 8 April 6th. This resort is absolutely beautiful! The staff were incredibly hard working, kind and friendly. They made the trip really. Perfect beach. We had a hard time making dinner reservations at the a la cartes but we did make one for the Mexican restaurant and it was so delicious. 100% will be back.
Only issue of the AC in our room not working was quickly resolved. Trip of a lifetime.
We had dinner at the Italian Restaurant, excellent menu, attention and cordiality from all the staff.

A nice, quiet hotel, very clean, the rooms are cleaned every day. Location is very nice in the countryside with some palm trees and right by the sea.

The air conditioning in our room was broken for 2 weeks, unfortunately no one took care of it even though we reported it 3 times...
Unfortunately there are no original drinks, everything comes from hoses, Pepsi is made with syrup...
At the beginning you are provided with towels, the trick of this hotel is to collect them at the pool in the evening and then charge €25 for a towel otherwise you can't check out!!!
