For several months, Aqua Palms became my home away from home during a business trip, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff, particularly Ms. Kasey at the front desk, were nothing short of spectacular.

What truly elevates this hotel above the competition is its genuine and incredibly organized staff. Every request, from the mundane (extra blankets) to the unexpected (room change due company billing changes), was handled with immediate action and a good attitude. There was never a moment of doubt regarding a package delivery, a renewed parking pass, or any other detail of my stay. This service allowed me to focus on my work and enjoy my time off, confident that everything would be taken care of behind the scenes."

The hotel itself impressed me with its unwavering cleanliness and tranquility. As a seasoned traveler who's seen his fair share of hotel rooms, I was consistently impressed by the immaculate condition of both my room and the common areas. The peace and quiet I experienced was notable – not once in three months was I disturbed by noisy guests or forced to request additional cleaning. The hotel maintained a fresh, pleasant scent throughout, a welcome relief for those with scent sensitivities like myself. The linens were consistently spotless and odor-free, adding to the overall sense of comfort and hygiene. If cleanliness is a major factor in your hotel decision-making, look no further than this hotel.

However, the true star of the show was Ms. Kasey's exceptional service. Her genuine care and impressive efficiency in handling any issue I threw her way – billing, parking, room changes, you name it – was truly refreshing. Ms. Kasey's proactive approach and positive attitude made a significant difference in the overall quality of my stay. She consistently went above and beyond, ensuring my extended stay in Hawaii was not just comfortable, but truly enjoyable. In fact, my glowing recommendations about Aqua Palms, largely thanks to Ms. Kasey's exceptional service, convinced several colleagues to choose this hotel during their own stays. Needless to say, when my company offered to move me elsewhere on multiple occasions, the decision to remain at Aqua Palms was a clear choice.

Sorry for the lack of photos, but I find this hotel to be a great deal.
First of all, if you choose a room on the Hilton side with a view of the pool, the street will be busy all day long, so if you're looking for peace and quiet, we recommend an odd-numbered room number.
There is a free water server on the first floor, so feel free to bring your own water bottle.
Nearby, there are two coffee shops on the upper left that you can use for free.
DVDs are also available for rent.
There is also a tour desk, and you can sign up for tours departing from the Hilton or Ilikai in front of the hotel.
The famous IHOP on the 1st floor of the hotel will give you a discount when you show your hotel key.
You can purchase detergent at the front desk at the coin laundromat, but I think it will relieve stress if you prepare it at ABC.
The pool is not heated, so depending on the time of year you may need to be prepared. However, it's not crowded, so I think you can have a nice time reading, sunbathing, etc.

In terms of location, it was convenient to live within walking distance to both the center of Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping Center.
The Hilton fireworks are about a 5-minute walk away, so it's best to go to the beach and enjoy them.

However, Japanese is hardly understood, so this is a place where you can enjoy Hawaii even if you don't speak Japanese.

Lovely place near beaches, restaurants, ala Moana, clean spacious rooms, excellent customer service, latest check out 1pm 🕐, they kindly hold your bags as well. Highly recommended

Great service and nice rooms, but bad location. The front entrance is on a busy street. You have to pull onto the sidewalk to check in. The parking is cramped.

Ok hotel. Pretty pricey for what you get. Interior isint the best, especially for the price, but it’s in a good location and close to the beach.

Loved it, loved it!!! Highly recommend.
Great location. Friendly staff. Great views.

After reading some of the other reviews here, I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to stay at Aqua Palms. However, we were very surprised. The rooms were tidy, everything was clean and the bed was also comfortable. Only the bathroom was rather small in relation to the room. What was a big plus was that our room had a small self-catering corner with a microwave. Refrigerator, coffee machine and kettle. We had a room with a balcony and partial sea view. The security lock on the sliding door to the balcony needed to be repaired. However, the front desk service was great! They were extremely quick and very helpful and friendly. The hotel is directly across from the Hilton Hawaiian Village and just a block from the beach. It offers good views of Diamondhead Crater and the area is safe. There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby and it's right on several bus routes to get around. Your stay fee also includes free entry to the Bishop's Museum and the Art Museum! A perfect price-performance ratio

After this afternoon I unfortunately have to deduct all stars from the hotel's service. We got stuck in the elevator in the hotel today. The three of us were stuck for over an hour. When the elevator finally opened again and we got downstairs there was no sign of service. There was no one from the staff who asked if we were okay, maybe offered us a glass of water or apologized. This is absolutely bad service

Having read some of the earlier reviews, I was first not sure if it would be a good idea to stay at the Aqua Palms. However, my most recent stay for a night was much better than expected. All staff members were friendly and welcoming. The room on the 7th floor was newly renovated, and quiet spacious. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable too. Despite the hotel located right next to the Ala Moana Boulevard that sometimes has a lot of traffic, I found it surprisingly quiet and not noisy at all. As you can see from the photos I took from the lanai, the views were surprisingly nice too. It was a complete opposite experience compared with a stay some years ago at the Equus hotel nearby, where I can't recommend staying at all. I stayed at several hotels in the Waikiki area and found the price value good overall for the Aqua Palms. I will return again and highly recommend it.

Rooms were organized and somewhat clean: smelled a bit musty/smoky. Bathroom is tiny. The sliding door to balcony needed work on the security lock. Hotel signage is awful cause u can't see it amongst all the surrounding lights. Couldn't find the hotel with Google maps as it lead us in a circle. Definitely needs better directions or an update. However the Front desk service was great! They were extremely quick and very helpful and welcoming. They need a raise for dealing with all walks of life. Cost is okay but those cleaning and resort fees sure do add up.

I really liked it. My room was beautiful with a very amazing view. There are both microwave and refrigerator. There are many places to go during the day & many choices for food. There is a laundry room and pool. Best!

We have stayed here now 2 times and are booked to go again in Feb 2024 & we won't stay anywhere else. The location is perfect, hotels good with their service being good the last 2 times & Dennys attached.

I am giving this hotel a 5 star review. It's an older hotel showing some obvious signs of wear and tear but the experience met/exceeded my expectations. So although it's not a true fancy 5 star location, I am giving it my top marks because I was happy with my stay here. The price and location was why I booked this hotel. It's just one block off the beach and a convenient area. The service was top notch and staff was super friendly. I would return in the future.

Good location. When I was sleeping, the noise from the street bothered me. Comes with a small refrigerator and coffee maker.

The location is great and the price is cheap.

A great value hotel, just across the street from the Hilton Hawaiian village. It's got good views of Diamondhead crater, and the area is safe. Plenty of places to eat and shop nearby and it's right on The Bus route to get around. Your amenity fee also includes free entry to bishop museum and the museum of art!

I stay at Aqua Palms every time I'm in Honolulu. Great place and great employees.

The staff are professional, friendly, and courteous. The rooms were nice.

The location is great pretty close to the beach and an abc store right around the corner. Our first room on the 10th floor was infested with roaches, so they relocated us to a new room with no roaches. Tv channels suck so you’re stuck watching dvd’s if your dvd player works. The maid service sucks I asked them to clean my room and they didn’t the bed wasn’t made trash wasn’t taken out, at least maintenance was on point. Other than the lazy maids the rest of the staff are nice and helpful. Would recommend if your in Hawaii on a budget.

Good value for money - there is a bus and ABC store nearby - but for a little extra charge I would recommend a hotel on the beach - but that's a matter of taste - for relatively cheap and Hawaii is ok - small pool on the roof and manageable fitness area..
