The front desk staff are very nice. We got to our room and figured out it was very outdated. Walls are stained and couch is uncomfortable to sit on. Bathroom is very small. Kitchen in a hotel room is a much appreciated touch though. Pool is small and crowded. Volleyball/tennis court has no net. You will have to wait for at least 30-45 to get into the hot tub. Going to the spa/pool before noon will guarantee little to no crowd. Room service was excellent. If you ask for items like towels or body wash, they will bring it to your room in 10-15 minutes. Staff will come to your room every day and will vacuum carpets (if your room has), replace sheets, and generally tidy the room. Hotel does not provide parking passes. If you have a car you will have to pay 35 dollars a day to park. That being said, if you plan to stay in the Waikiki area, you don’t need a car as everything is walking distance. Lobby smelled bad. Everything said, you get what you pay for. It was definitely one of the cheapest hotel rooms in Waikiki during the time period we stayed for. Would look for another hotel next time.

It needs repairs. bed. The sofa is very old, smelly and dirty.
There are cockroaches too, so I'm worried they might follow me in my luggage. Waikiki Beach is close and the view is good, but I think I'll use a better place next time.

The service was exceptional & upon our arrival we felt extremely welcome. The rooms are very dated & the parking garage is terrifying. Room service was sub par or non existent on some days. We booked with Expedia & were show our rental with 2 beds & a pull out couch. We received one super uncomfortable bed & one even worse pull out couch. However, for the price & for only needing it for lodging as our days were full of activities it was good enough. There is definitely wear & tear on the rooms. As 3 women traveling it was tough to get ready with the small bathroom, lack of lighting, outlets & mirrors. It definitely was in a great area! Very close to the beach, shopping & restaurants!

Wonderful place to stay close to the beach

Rooms are a little outdated but with service alone I would come back. Our room had a little mishap & we were moved to a different room within a couple of minutes thanks to Ashley. Shaun & Gill at front desk were great & helped with the back end of that process as well. These three employees made our trip wonderful!

Very nice condo. Good location and friendly staff.

To spend the night it is decent

Stayed there for out 25th anniversary.

Great vacation resort

I stayed here with my family for 5 nights.
staff are friendly
Close to the sea.
You can enjoy Hawaii at a reasonable price by just buying your daily meals at Waikiki Market, which has a full kitchen and is just a few minutes walk away.

If I had to say, there was something that looked like a rice cooker.
It was crumbly, so I cooked the rice in a pot without using it.
I can't cut the knife. It's better to bring one knife.

My family and I are talking about staying here the next time we go to Hawaii.

Surely we can agree: if you can roll a round object from the edge, down to the Center of the mattress, the mattress’s lifespan is over. There was no way to get comfortable on this mattress. The staff were pleasant and added a cover, but this could never fix the problem.
What we can only conclude is someone is hoping guests won’t complain about a clearly dead mattress, instead of spending $500 for a new mattress in a box.

Unbearable drilling construction noise coming from Tower 2 on the top floors. We booked for over a month, and the noise has been going on for two weeks.

Not much amenities, but great location and view from balcony (floor 33, tower 1) 5-10 mins walk only to Waikiki beach

35th floor of Tower 2. Although it faces the mountain, the view from the window is spacious and very nice.
The rooms aren't new, but they're mostly equipped for a condo, so you can buy groceries and live a normal life. However, you must bring your own seasonings and wraps.
The bath and toilet are compact, with a bathtub, and the Java water pressure is high and the water comes out well.
It's a shame that the resort fee is so high at $32 a day, but they come every day to clean, provide coffee, towels, etc.

Washing machines and dryers are on each floor. If you use two, you will have 20 pieces worth 25 cents. There is a coin exchange machine next to the lobby.

There is a Jacuzzi, a small pool, and a barbecue facility with coins on the 5th floor.

Unfortunately, the floor is thin and you can hear noises from above. Most of the staff at the front desk speak English. But it's okay even if I can only do a little.

It's not flashy, but it's pretty calm.

I used it with 4 friends.
It was convenient as it was close to bus stops such as the Pink Line. It's relatively close to the ocean, but it's quite a walk to get to the center of the city, such as the Royal Hawaiian.
There is a kitchen here, so we boiled water for coffee and enjoyed tea and breakfast around the table. I don't cook. I had booked a room with a sea view, so even though the building was inside, I was able to see the blue sea.
I don't use the pool or jacuzzi because I go out a lot. We added an extra bed and included a sofa bed, so there were 4 beds, but the extra bed's springs were crushed, so we couldn't use it as bedding and it was just a nuisance when folded.
The sofa bed also felt like it had been used and was uncomfortable. Personally, I do not recommend it for 4 adults.
I would definitely like to use it if there are up to two people per room.

Stayed at an Airbnb in the building that had a fully renovated kitchen and bathroom with my family. Great location, super economical, nothing to complain. Very happy overall.
The Diamond Head view was great. The elevator didn’t have any issues (not the fastest but not that bad either even in the morning). The app to pay for washer and dryer was pretty convenient. Water pressure was good. Self-driving parking can be a little bit tough later in the evening (meaning lower levee spots are taken quickly).

I did not feel safe staying at Aston at the Waikiki Banyon, and the staff did not take my concerns seriously. The deadbolt to my room was broken, and I had cleaning staff walking into my room whenever. I had to get new keys to my room multiple times because the key cards would stop working — which became a challenge because elevators did not work most of the time.

The room is NOT what was advertised to us. The carpets were filthy and stained, the furniture was old and beat up, the blinds were broken, among a number of other problems. I had to change my room because the curtains wouldn’t close at all the first room they offered.

I complained to the staff the first night we were there, but the manager never followed up.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Honolulu.

We stayed in an Air B&B in this building. Loved the location. Definitely recommend if you want to be close to everything and walk. Laundry rooms and small pool but nice and clean.

We arrived Tues, Jan 9th at approx 5 p.m. to check in & were told we couldn’t park our rental vehicle in the parking garage..it was too big. We were told we could park it on the street , meter parking if we could find a spot. The vehicle would have to be moved every 4 hours or we would be ticketed. Since we were a party of 5 the Banyon said we should have been told that a Big vehicle could not park in the ramp. We chose to go back to the airport rental , return the Jeep Waggoner that no one had told us was too big for the garage. That was only the beginning of our problems w the Banyon (which I will never recommend to anyone). Our rooms were not updated at all..Rooms were dirty, we were to have a king bed which turned out to be two double beds pushed together w two seperate mattresses & two overlapping comforters. I have several pictures of the filthy rooms which included dirty carpets, holes in cutains, curtains hanging off pipe rods, beat up furniture. Nothing like the pics on website shows which is false advertising. Our hotel experience was horrible. non working elevators…every day at least one elevator was non working. Kleenex of diff color stuffed back in Kleenex box, water damage to ceiling.

Super convenient location in Waikiki. Just a block away from the beach, 2 blocks from the zoo, and 3 or 4 blocks from the International Market Place. Lots of food and drink options nearby, with a park also within walking distance. The room was beautiful, and the view of Diamond Head couldn't be beat. Not too far from Manoa Falls hike and even closer to Diamond Head hike (make an appointment to go here). They have a really nice koi pond in the lobby that you can enjoy.
