I paid the resort fee twice.
Making a fuss about shamelessly paying only once...
Ah, those really great grandfathers...
Please check properly...

My stay at Aston Waikiki Circle was great. The location right on Waikiki Beach is simply unbeatable. Although the rooms seem a bit dated, the fantastic views from them make up for it. If you are looking for accommodation with a fantastic view and a perfect location, Aston Waikiki Circle is the right place for you.

My favorite hotel. Older but maintained, clean with a great location. The rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean. We have already been here twice and the third time was unfortunately full. He is always our number one choice and I can definitely recommend him.

Enjoy our stay. Staff are friendly. Our upgraded ocean front room is absolute beautiful. Location is super convenient as well. Wish the on site parking is cheaper but it is what it is. 😊

Great location and price. Wonderful views from the partial view room

Site is located right across the beach. Older property and nothing fancy. front desk is outside and barely has a lobby. Rooms are clean. older TV's, and they do have casting, however it is not advertised on how to work it. Was able to figure it out, but would be nice to have some kind of information on it. Lack of shower pressure, and there is nothing in the shower that you can put your own shampoo, etc. in so you have to set them on the floor. Daily resort fee includes a newspaper, which doesn't seem necessary now days. Overall, it is a no frills hotel, and nothing special, and hard to understand the daily resort fee for not a lot of amenities.

I highly recommend this hotel. No frills. Awesome view if you upgrade to ocean view. Great helpful staff. Safe location in the heart of Waikiki Beach. Walk to zoo and aquarium.

We had a super nice stay here overlooking the beach. It was a good price, super clean, and had all of the essentials, plus some extras. The hotel provides beach towels and floaties; you can even borrow a surfboard! In the small waiting area, there is a microwave. We especially appreciated being able to fill our water bottles with cold, filtered water. In the small but cute and clean rooms, the doors to the balcony slide open very far to maximize your view. Any time that we weren’t sleeping, we were hanging out on the balcony. There’s a fridge in the room, and it was stocked with Kona coffee, and Hawaiian Tropics toiletries. The hotel staff was so so nice. Literally every staff member was extra kind. It has the feel of a quality family-owned place, not a resort. Thanks, everyone, for a wonderful stay.

There are no additional facilities, just take the elevator up from outside, but on the other hand, you can go straight to your room without wasting any time. Sean at the front desk is an expert on Japan and speaks Japanese perfectly. They were very kind.

Hotel right on the beach, efficient check-in, clean rooms

My wife and I have been coming to Hawaii for years and we've stayed at other hotels but none compare to this hidden jewel! We will never stay at another hotel again. We're coming back in March and we'll be staying here again. The very best staff, views, accommodations and atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

The view is incredible!! The staff is amazing! When we go back to Waikiki Beach we will stay at Ashton Waikiki Circle again!
My one complaint is the pillows need to be updated.
The staff makes you feel like you are the most important person ever 😍😍

Such a refreshing upgrade from the hotel my father and I stayed at before this one! The room is so cute and well lit, they upgraded us to a free ocean view when we paid for partial, I believe that is in cause to not being fully booked, but it was super duper appreciated! The room isn’t ginormous but it honestly feels like more than enough, with a balcony for two chairs, a desk area with a coffee maker and fridge and mirror closet! Complimentary reusable hotel water bottles to keep too haha. Just little clear blue ones but awesome nonetheless. The theming of the room and bathroom was very satisfying and comforting. Bathroom is small but looks very clean and crisp too, towels were well stocked and shower was clean. The room has a safe too, and an AC unit which blows cold air very well! TV seems more upgraded and sleek. The balcony area has a glass sliding door but there’s these big wooden blinds/sliding doors to block it off for privacy. Having the ocean nearby sounded very peaceful, just beware of tweakers or partiers being loud at night because the hotel is in the middle is a very busy tourism packed area. The location itself is amazing, I walked everywhere the day we checked in, and the beach was literally across the street. So many places to eat first off, from upscale restaurants to little food halls, cafes, food courts, and tons of food truck/ small hole-in-the-wall type establishments that looked so good but I couldn’t eat anything else today, so full! Tons of shopping, like more than you need, all the high-end brand stores you can think of included in multiple shopping malls, plazas, centers, you just need to walk around. I think I found like two large shopping centers randomly tonight after wandering away from the International Market, everything is so close to each other. Randomly stumbled upon an Asian food hall too, lots of sushi and ramen and some bar areas, also saw a matcha sort of cafe. It’s really an ideal place to stay as a tourist, I walked around for hours on my own today and was still finding new places by the fifth hour. I believe Duke’s Lane, International Market Place, Waikiki Food Hall (including the Asian Food Hall) , Royal Hawaiian Center, the Waikiki Business Plaza, Waikiki Beach Walk, and more, were all within a 5-15 minute walk from the hotel. Perfect room/location honestly for my stay, I wish I was here another night because I want to explore more c: If I ever return to this part of Oahu, I’ll definitely have this one on my list to be at.
Edit: Another little plus is that the bathroom has a hair dryer and there’s nice bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel hooked to the wall for use since a lot of tourists rely on a hotel to provide those things. Nice commodity 🤗

We love our stay here. All the employees from reception to house keepers are very nice. Specially Mr. Sean he is very helpful and and takes care of the guest. Our room is always clean. Public transportation is near. Lots of store and restaurants around. Amazing view from our balcony. We will definitely come back there again.

This a truly wonderful place to stay. Yes, rooms and showers are smaller. How much room time do you need when you are literally right across the street from the beach? This is older Waikiki, and the spirit of Aloha runs deep. The Goddess is AMAZING. And so is the loco moco at Eggs and Things. It's a hotel, not a resort. Don't expect, RESPECT. Mahalo, Aston. I hope to be back soon!

The staff here is amazing!! Thank you Shawn for all your help, from storing our luggage before our cruise and getting us 3 taxi's for our large family.

Good hotel in an excellent location

I have many many things to say. Most are pretty awful. So let's start with the positive. Prime area to walk to malls and a beach just across the street, but be prepared to come across at least 20 homeless people on your way to and from any location (this has nothing to do with the hotel, just Waikiki in general). Day one and two of our 6 day stay, we had amazing service. Very polite and willing to help. The remaining duration of our stay we were met with side eyes and attitude from anyone involved in cleaning staff. Had a broken handle in the shower that was fixed the same day as our complaint. However, the rest of our trip, the water was only burning hot or ice cold, never a way to adjust to the temperature after they "fixed" the handle. The view we had of the ocean was decent, albeit not what we actually paid for. Now, the remaining review is everything else. This hotel basically scams you into a room and then makes you feel like an idiot for asking why we didn't get the room that we paid EXTRA to be in. When I made the reservation directly with a person who works there, I specifically asked for a room facing the ocean directly. Was very particular because it was a trip for a special occasion. Was told that cost a bit extra, I said no problem. Upon arrival, our room was facing in-between hotels, and we had to walk outside to see the ocean. Beautiful view, but NOT what I paid an extra 40 dollars PER NIGHT for. We asked the lobby why this was our room and were told, "You have to walk outside." At which point we were told that it would be at an additional 40 per night to get the room, which we were under the impression, was originally purchased. So for 350 per night, you can get an ocean facing room here. Otherwise, you see a hotel until you walk outside. Had I been informed of this information prior, it would not have been so bad if that's what I was expecting. However, they mislead you and charge you extra at every turn. Felt very scammed with the whole process. Onto the quality of the hotel. Great room service, wonderful balconies. Not a single bit of quiet will be met here. Peaceful nights sleep where you feel safe and can hear your tv, NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Doors are not soundproof when shut, and I could even fit my pinky in between the jambs when the door was locked shut. Bright light comes in from every direction. Ranging from any of the 4 fire alarms with flashing lights that never shut off to the light in the highway that comes in from the not fully closed door to your room. Also, the elevator is in the center of the building. You will feel it move and make noise anytime it runs. I felt so unsafe that I had to wedge towels into the door each evening in order to help actually shut the door entirely and help soundproof. My family and I were forced to play sleeping sounds at max volume, wear ear plugs, and headphones over them to drown out the absolute onslaught of noise from the highway downstairs. Upon complaint we were offered an "ocean front" room on the floor closest to the ground above the restaraunt on the bottom of the hotel directly facing and blocked by a TREE, or told to pay more for a different room further up. This was NOT HELPFUL. The offer they gave us was louder and could be looked into directly from the street below, so no privacy. We politely declined this offer and dealt with our room for the remainder of our stay. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I felt unsafe here and was treated with indifference anytime we asked why. The worst part is that this hotel offers amazing history and seems to be perfect on paper. I would NOT STAY HERE. After all of their extra costs, including parking, if you have a car and no breakfast provided, you'll be paying about the same as the all-inclusive hotel just down the street. Just go stay there, you'll have a better experience and see less homeless people on your doorstep every day. Pictures below.

Right on the beach a great place to stay
