Amazing food and service

I stayed at bay gardens, only went to resort for spa which was well worth it cannot comment on hotel

We stayed at Bay Gardens Beach Resort around the end of October for three nights before heading to another resort on the island. Started off on the wrong foot with our room not being available for us to settle in to right away. We ended up relaxing at the restaurant for an early dinner and drinks until our room was ready two hours later. We also discovered late that night that the air conditioning was not working properly in the bedroom (we had an ocean view suite). Figured it wouldn’t be worth the hassle of changing rooms and causing a fuss since we had to get used to the temperatures anyways, we did end up reporting it at check out. Our next resort room was open-air rooms.
Aside from the two inconveniences, I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff was. I never felt like we were being neglected, always was greeted when passing staff on the property. The beach was incredible and the food was top notch. The location was perfect for exploring what the north side of the island had to offer. We always felt very safe at and around the resort. I definitely would consider staying here in the future if visiting Saint Lucia again.

We did an all-inclusive day pass here as a cruise excursion. Was a 20 minute drive to the resort from the cruise pier. They were very organized and check in was easy. The resort had a great beach bar and restaurant along with an amazing beach! Our kids used the water park too which was super cool.

Lovely beach and staff lovely

We stayed at the Bay Gardens Resort and Spa for 9 nights at the end of Feb 2024 and loved our stay!

The staff were incredibly friendly, new our names by the end of the stay and were always there to answer questions. The food was great, they accommodated our dietary restrictions with no issues and we enjoyed that the menu for dinner changed daily. The resort itself is very clean and we appreciated that it was a smaller resort, we always had a place to sit at meals without having to wait, the pool wasn't overly crowded and we could always find a chair to leave our towel.

The beach is right on the property and so we could take advantage of being in the pool and the ocean, we also went kayaking and stand up paddle boarding (which was included). We felt safe at the resort and also walked to Rodney Bay a few times. We also used the free shuttle that was available between properties, staff booked our shuttle to/from the airport and helped us with the excursions we wanted to take.

We would definitely stay here again!

The resort was nice. I had large king sized room with a living room and kitchen. Check in was smooth, the beach was very clean. Dinner and drinks at the restaurant were great.
It's about 30 minutes from Castries but there are several nearby restaurants and a shopping mall.
I deducted a star because the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned, but otherwise the room was very clean. Not a big deal.

My family and I spent 2 weeks at this beautiful resort, upon arrival we immediately felt really welcomed by the staff. Our room was perfect, clean and in a good spot; close to the beach and poolside in view. The staff in particular, Orlando (front desk agent) Nicki (our cleaner) Desmond and Dalton were amazing, all made our experience that much more worth our stay, they were always there catering to our needs and were all super friendly and so helpful. We’ll be back very soon, overall 11/10 stars!

Generally the facilities and locations was pleasant and we would have had a good stay if it wasn't for the below issue, with the staff and in particular the DJ.

Unfortunately many (not all) of the staff did seem to resent the guests, and it felt like they would only engage with staff on their terms. This was very much the case with the DJ, whos attitude was that of someone wanting to have a good time, rather than ensuring guests had a good time.

Centred in-between the pool, restaurant and beach the hotel played a stage on which a DJ would play, such that there was no where to escape.
This DJ wanted to be the "big I am", and would ruin my day when he started around mid day. He liked aggressively loud 180bpm music and the sound of his own voice. On one occasion when I asked him to turn down the volume (to a sensible level), he pretended to turn down the volume (but didn't) and eyed me aggressively not speaking. One day, a female member of staff clearly told him to turn it down, which he did, until she had left the pool area at which point he turned the volume back up. Multiple other guest either left the pool when he started playing, or complained at reception.

When young women walked passed the DJ stage, he would play hooter noises, and tunes to get their attention, fellow male staff would overtly "bigging him up" for this work. He wanted "to have a good time".

I spoke to staff at reception about the volume of his music, who told me they would speak to his line manager. Later that evening when the DJ saw me, he stared me down aggressively, and for no reason walked straight across my path. The following day the DJ's behaviour was unchanged.

Everything had to be on this member of staff's terms, and he didn't like guests that didn't like what he liked. There was no room to relax when he was playing and it genuinely ruined large parts of my stay.

Great place to rest and relax or party like a rockstar 🙌🏼

Very nice place.

My husband and I got a day pass here while we were doing volunteer work on the island. it’s a beautiful location. The beach is great. The food was delicious and the drinks were lovely.

So we purchased a day pass to the resort. The beach and pool area were great. You got drink tickets and lunch included, with either a 20 min massage or water sports. The “girls” decided on a massage. If you want the massage make an appointment prior, we upgraded to a hour massage, which was great. Lunch was disappointing, but there is a bartender named Daria that was wonderful. No complimentary hotel room was available to take showers. The location is great but not enough to go spend the money for another day pass. There are not a lot of resorts in St Lucia that offer what we experienced for the price we paid, so it is worth the trip.

Lovely resort in great location, super pool area and beach.

Not a giant resort. Room was clean. The food was great and the beach is right there.

The resort is clean, nice spacious rooms and wonderful, nice, professional staff.
I would say that the food needs improvement, it eas not great, but just ok.

Location, location, location! We spent 7 nights at Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa over Christmas. One of the best vacations we've ever had. But TBH it did not start well. I knew that the airport was on the southern side of the Island but did not realize that after a long flight it would be another hour and 45 minute cab ride to get to the resort in the north. Not the resorts fault but still pretty tired and grumpy when we checked in. After checking in we got dinner on-site. The service was slow and the food not very good. So I went to bed that first night thinking we made a mistake. However, every other day was fantastic. It's definitely not a five star resort but all of the staff was super friendly and helpful. And best of all the beach was just steps away. The water was perfect and the beach was never too crowded. Chairs are free for resort guests so it only cost a small tip to get chairs and an umbrella every day. Spent more time at the beach and in the water than on any past vacation and we've done a lot of travelling. We did not do the all inclusive but got the breakfast only package. Breakfast was great every day. Glad we did not do the all inclusive. We ate a few more times at the resteraunt for dinner and the food was much better than the first night. However, there is also a great beach restaurant called Spinakkers right next door to the resort and several within walking distance. The town is a 15 to 20 minute walk from the resort and has a grocery store with everything you might need. We got bread, lunch meat, etc. and just made sandwhiches for lunch most days. Prices at the restaurants and at the grocery store were comparable to what we would spend at home in Virginia and not jacked up sky high like so many other resort areas we've been to. There is a also shuttle bus from the resort that runs regulary if you don't want to walk. We did a few excursions out for snorkeling, a rain forerst and waterfall hike, and the mud baths. Would highly reccomend St. Lucia and Bay Gardens.

We recently did a resort pass to this hotel and it truly left a lot to be desired!
The staff were all lovely but the resort itself looked extremely run down, the pool looked dirty, the beach left a lot to be desired! They gave us towels which were threadbare and were so old!
Pictures of the resort looked beautiful, unfortunately did not look like this! We were so excited for our day in st Lucia but stayed there for an hour and a half and left!!!!!
This hotels needs a complete overhaul!
