It looks a bit old and I didn't feel activities for adults or children. The Wi-Fi signal is poor and apparently the public is more of the 3rd Age.
The beach 👍🏻 the calm atmosphere that is a plus.
I stayed here for 5 days. Won’t be staying here ever agai! The room was ok but bed was terrible. Breakfast was ok. They charge you if you have a guest. It feels more like a jail with all the security. The place is dead. I forgot my bracelet to get into the hotel from the beach, I was with a friend. The security guard was rude and made us walk around the outside of the hotel to the Lobby instead of letting go through the hotel which was the short cut. As we walked we got harassed by the locals to purchase something. I tried to complain to the front desk manager but he was condescending and had nothing but excuses. It was a hot mess. Never again.
Unfortunately, not our favourite stay. The whole hotel was fairly tired. The room smelled very musty on arrival, and after we showered, there was water all over the floor throughout the room, and very I nearly slipped and fell. The staff were pleasant, and the breakfast food was nice, bit the coffee wasn’t great (instant). Sadly, wouldn’t return.
The stay was very pleasant, very clean rooms with amenities in the bathrooms.
If I could give this hotel a review below 1 star I would. To start they charge your card as soon as you arrive. The hotel policies are all against the guest not in the guest favor. First hotel out of sooooo Many I've been through that doesn't allow visitors not even in common areas as their restaurant. Second the staff take for ever to take care of any issues, the room I was in bathroom shower head was broken, the bathtub clug and toilet seat cover top would just stay up unless you hold it, the ac had a horrible noise worse than the motorcross in the streets. I waited and wasted half of my day the first day to get service. When they agreed after many complains to switch my room the room was smelling horrible full of old, moldy smell. My aunt came to see me and I had to leave the hotel because they wouldn't let her pass the lobby which is horrible and bad business because I was trying to take her out eat in the restaurant at their premises. Lastly you can't even take your room towel not even to the pool ara. Best thing they'll tell you is rent one for 20$ or buy one. This has been yet the worse experience ever, nothing but headaches but customers service and dissatisfaction. All policies against the guest and none I'm favor. Please stay away from this hotel. Worse Experience Ever. Speaking from a customer service and a hospitality graduate perspective, It's not worth the headache. If you go there to have a great time or good experience don't even bother because you won't have it. Nothing but bad service nothing else nothing less. Now if don't care about great experiences and customer service that's a different story. I rate this hotel and give them a Zero based on my experience and they way they set their "policies". Never again would I visit this hotel or recommend it to anyone trust.
They are undergoing renovations. The ocean front rooms were renovated and gorgeous. My favorite beach in the world.
They should only improve the food, make it more succulent. But for people who do not tolerate fat it is very good. I'd come back. Although sargassum is a problem, the pool has warm water which is great for relaxing.

When we were there, the hotel had renovation, but it's okay. Only think the elevator is not enough and some often doesn't work. Otherwise, everything was okay. Also housekeeper so friendly and helpful.
Edgardo front desk was very pleasant and helpful. I didn't have a reservation, and he found a way to accommodate us in a nice room with a beach view and breakfast included. Historical hotel with nice people and great location.

My stay here has been horrible to say the least. The amount of misinformation I have received from staff, has made my stay dreadful and very maddening. They make you pay a $200 fee person if you want to be visited by friends or family. I don’t mean as guest to sleep but to even see you in the hotel or visit you at the beach. First I was told by staff that I could have one visitor per day, which to me still seemed odd. Then days later when I wanted to have another visitor, I was then told I was not allowed anyone else and my one guest had already been assigned. When I tried to explain how that could not be, based off what I was told, I was continuously condescended to and told that I was misremembering. On top of their controlling polices, bad information, misrepresentations, there is no wifi in the rooms, the room is decrepit, the bathroom are filthy, and everything is either old or unsanitary. I was willing to put up with run down environment because I thought at least I would be able to visit family & friends, but I see now this is not a place you want to travel to alone. Especially for young adults. The staff will take nothing you say serious and you will feel very lonely here. Please save your money and avoid Be Live Hamaca Beach.
This hotel use to be our favourite. Although the view will never change as it’s amazing, the rest of it is a dump. Mind you it use to be all inclusive. Now you pay over $150us a night for absolutely nothing. Not even a coffee maker in the room. 2 bottles of water if lucky. Sorry, need to step it up a notch before my family and I stay here ever again. Very sad as like I said…. It use to be our favourite 😔
I stayed at the hotel for a few days with my family and the Experience overall was just disappointing. The rooms are very outdated, the bathrooms had broken parts, the tv’s were horrible. The pool also looked like it was under construction. The staff at the hotel were very nice but that’s about it. Most importantly do not book any excursions with the staff at the hotel. At the beach, there were many places to book excursions, which we didn’t know until after we paid the gentleman at the hotel. The excursions we booked at the hotel were not what we expected it was horrible! I honestly don’t think I’ll ever go back.
