This hotel is far from being a 5 star hotel. The facilities are lacking maintenance as well as the furniture in rooms and common areas. To eat in specialized restaurants they have to wait 2 hours or more, so you will always have to do it at the buffet. During our entire stay we did not have hot water in the room, I reported it every day because we were traveling with a 77-year-old person and it is quite dangerous for him to bathe with cold water but our problem was never resolved. It is really incredible that a 5 star hotel does not have hot water. I think it has been a bad travel experience that has left us with no desire to book at a Palace ever again.
The hotel staff is very kind

This place is great, with good food options, private beach, beach facing rooms (at a premium), lots of activities including kids, tours and shows etc. All services come at a premium as anticipated from pricing of a luxury hotel in a travel destination.

One note of caution for those coming down. Racial and gender discrimination by the staff!! I just wish staff and service is better!!

We recently took a family trip to Cancun and opted for a smaller resort experience at Beach Palace (under 250 rooms). While we're accustomed to larger all-inclusive resorts, Beach Palace surprised us in the best way possible – with incredible service!

The staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel special. At first, the limited buffet and restaurant options compared to larger resorts caused a minor blip, but that quickly faded away. The staff's attentiveness and personalized service completely overshadowed any initial concerns.

Service with a Smile (and Maybe a Spark of Magic):

Gone are the days of impersonal buffets. The staff at Beach Palace became like friendly travel companions. When my husband and son arrived tired and hungry after activities and found the smokehouse closed, Gabriel swooped in like a hospitality superhero (okay, maybe just incredibly attentive!). He whipped up some delicious options they had available and even orchestrated perfectly cooked steaks for them later that night. Their hunger pangs vanished thanks to Gabriel's attentiveness.

Oscar: Master of Momo's Magic:

From the moment we stepped into Momo's restaurant, Oscar became our guide to a world of culinary delights. He wasn't just our server; he personalized the experience. On our last day, Oscar and Silvina teamed up to create a truly special private dining experience for us. They even shared the fascinating story behind the restaurant's design, a creation by the artistic general manager, Mark.

The Heart of Beach Palace:

We've stayed at many hotels and resorts worldwide, but the staff at Beach Palace truly stands out. From Gabriel's helpfulness to Silvina's warmth, everyone we encountered showed genuine care and made us feel like valued guests, not just another room number. Their dedication to hospitality is truly magical.

Beach Palace may be smaller in size, but it delivers a huge dose of warmth and exceptional service. If you're looking for a vacation filled with friendly faces, personalized attention, and a touch of something special, look no further than this hidden gem. We can't wait to go back!

Tips for Your Stay:

Ask for Gabriel at the smokehouse – his resourcefulness and friendly personality will brighten your day.
Don't miss Momo's – request Oscar and Silvina for a memorable evening.
Remember, the best part of any vacation isn't always the place itself, but the people who make you feel welcome.

I was only here for one night due to a overnight delay with our flights. We were given the Superior Governors Suite on the 12th floor which at first looked incredible. However, it was clear that the hotel is getting a bit old and tired now. It certainly doesn't look like the website photos anymore. We thought the breakfast buffet was poor but the evening meal in Tavola was incredible, one of the best Italian meals I've ever had!! Noise was an issue though, due to it being in the Hotel Zone and the start of Spring Break. Not for me, however it seemed very popular to those staying there.

Overall very good. Really about a 4.8. Couple of minor things. If you want to eat at one of the special restaurants, you better be in line when they open or be prepared to wait an hour or more. The buffet is always an option. The other thing we noticed was when we tried to set up room service early in the morning before an excursion. We were told there was a 30 minute window we had to pick from. The first time we asked for coffee to be delivered between 6 and 6:30 because we were leaving at 7. It arrived at 5:50 am before we were even awake. The second time it arrived at 6:45 as we were leaving for the elevator. Not sure why we have to pick a window for delivery. By the way, we only ordered a pot of coffee, nothing elaborate.

Otherwise the food was very good, service excellent, just be wary at popular times.

Been a few times to Cancun, and i can tell you this hotel is very great for the price. Clean, food very good, very nice staff, nice rooms...one of my favorite place now in Cancun.

Amazing experience. Extremely friendly staff who adjust to your needs and wants. Fantasic beach, pools, gym. Delicious food at every restaurant and such a wide variety. I love the live music and dancing. The coffee shop is an excellent addition as well. Room service is amazing, of course, too. I used the gym, and it's small but nice for a run and has water for you inside. They are also super helpful if you want to leave the resort for excursions and are very accommodating. I especially love the scent of the resort.

My recent stay at Beach Palace Resorts left me with mixed feelings. Having previously experienced exceptional service at other Palace Resorts, I arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately, this particular experience fell short of the standard I've come to expect.

While some factors, like the broken elevator, were beyond the resort's control and understandable, several other issues significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment of my stay.

Firstly, the room assigned to us was unexpectedly loud and vibrating, necessitating a room change. Additionally, enduring two days without functioning AC and the recurring issue of lights turning on during the night added to the discomfort.

Dining experiences were also disappointing. On multiple occasions, meals were forgotten or served incorrectly at the Asian and Italian restaurants. Worse still, someone I was with was served a dish containing an allergen, posing a serious risk to their health.

Housekeeping also left much to be desired, with towels left uncollected and piles of dirt overlooked. Furthermore, the beach experience was marred by a lack of available umbrellas and a lifeguard's rude and dismissive attitude when we attempted to rectify the situation.

However, amidst these challenges, there were shining moments of exceptional service. Antonio, our server at the buffet, was a beacon of politeness and dedication, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Likewise, Fernanda at the spa provided a memorable experience with her warmth and kindness and was incredible at her job.

In conclusion, while Beach Palace Resorts has its merits, my overall experience was marred by numerous issues that fell short of the standard expected from a Palace Resorts establishment. Despite the commendable efforts of individuals like Antonio and Fernanda, improvements in various aspects of service delivery are necessary to meet the high expectations associated with the Palace Resorts brand.

Our 3rd stay in a Palace resort. First time in the hotel zone. Great location, easy beach access, friendly staff, amazing food with plenty of options. While a family resort, it didn't feel crowded with kids. We had a lagoon view, road noise wasn't horrible, and honestly we weren't in the room much for it to matter.

Love the easy access to beautiful beach, and the restaurants. Service was excellent, Staff was super polite and helpful. Enjoyed my massages and access to sauna and vapor room. Fun for the whole family.

We went on a family vacation and it really is a place to recommend. The service, as in almost all of Mexico, is exceptional, the kindness and concern of all the staff excellent. The hotel is located on a very beautiful beach, which invites you to swim for a long time without feeling cold. The system is all-inclusive and meets expectations quite well, with a varied menu, which although it is repeated in the buffet, it is impossible to try everything in 4 meals or more. It also has other restaurants that open in the afternoon and have specific menus with oriental, Mediterranean and North American influences.
Although we didn't go, every day there are shows in some bars or places in the hotel, the entertainment in the pools and beach is good but it doesn't bother you if you go near the seashore.
On some occasions we had to wait a long time at the Smokehouse (restaurant), resolution of problems in the room and daily cleaning (they took a while but they did it)
On a scale of 1 to 10 it has a 9, especially for the location and the excellence of the staff's service.

This place is not bad but is also not great. There's room for improvement.
For instance.
The service at the beach can be slow or non-existent, you are better off getting the drink yourself.
It's an all inclusive but there's levels which you don't read about in any third party booking website such as ( Expedia, booking, etc )
All levels have different kind of treatment per say
If you book through third party website, then at the time of check in you don't get an explanation about the hotel, activities, restaurants, etc, etc.
But if you have ( I'm guessing ) súper platinum+ + level you get a welcoming drink and someone sits down with you to explain everything if not you are going to find out on your own what's the deal.
The beach has 2 sides, your regular booking people ( 3rd party ) and your súper platinum level+ + cr@p
But the part that sucks the most is the gap between beach chairs. Basically none. So you can't really have a private conversation with your significant other without the people on your left or right not listening. That's how close everything is.
If you get to the beach late ( anything past 11 ) you are out of luck therefore there's no chairs for you or your family so the best they can do is sit you and your family on the sand with an umbrella.
In a few words the beach is about 100 yards or less for the entire resort and half of it is destined to the super platinum+ + members.
Food is ok, nothing out of this world.
The only thing I liked about this place is the rooms. Rooms are spacious, well maintained and have a Jacuzzi. Although the shower it's kinda small
I think there's better resorts for $50-$100 extra with bigger beach space and better service.

This was our maiden trip to Cancun, Mexico (recently visited 02/25/2024) and this resort made it the 'Best vacation' we ever had. Trying to write an up to the point review that is helpful for 1st time travelers.

Staff - Without the slightest hesitation, I can say, these are the people that will make your vacation memorable. Please appreciate and tip well. Trust me, they will make it special for you.

Rooms - Clean and Hygenic. The rooms are old but are well maintained. The staff is dedicated and will keep it clean. All rooms have big patios / balconies for beach / lagoon views. Beautiful view.

Amenities - There's something for everyone. Kids enjoy the pool, water slide and a playroom for younger ones. Pools have lifeguards. There is a good seat outside with good music (sometimes live music). Beverages are served as requested.

Beach - Clean, white sand, nice blue water. A lifeguard, plenty of umbrellas and beach chaise lounge chairs. Beach volleyball activities are engaging.

Food and restaurants - This is the BEST of the BESTEST parts. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything is simply superb. There are plenty of vegetarian options for each meal. Tavola - The Italian restaurant serves the BEST 'eggplant parmesan' ever.

All in all, this was the best resort experience we ever had. Reach out to the staff and they will help you with everything they can.

** Since it was a short trip for us, we did not have time to use the spa/massage amenities.

It was a super good experience, without a doubt I would choose beach palace again to spend another vacation, the waiters, the food, the room, etc., everything was great, now everyone talks about how it went and my family and I had a great time... ... My children really enjoyed the cafeteria... everything was great, the only thing was that the long lines were great

Wonderful experience, staff was attentive and friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beach was amazing! And loved the wildlife!

We’ve stayed at multiple Palace resorts over the last 10 years and have always had a great time. We’ve been to Moon Palace at least 5 times, Playacar Palace once, and Le Blanc Cancun once. 1st time at Beach Palace.

Pros:
- The views from the honeymoon suite were amazing!
- Probably a good resort for families, as it’s small and easy to navigate (NOT good for couples)
- The superbowl party was great. Service and food both really good.
- Roman at the sports bar was awesome!

Cons/Issues:
- Checking in, there were many small things missing from the room (welcome wine, espresso cups, potato chips, etc.)
- They wouldn’t let us change the alcohol in our room (never once been an issue before)
- The resort was SEVERELY understaffed. Only 1 of the rooftop pools was open, and the 1 that was open never had anyone actually working the pool side. No servers upstairs either. If you were on the roof and you wanted a drink, you had to go wait in line at the bar (where I only ever saw a max of 2 people working, but usually just 1). Almost anywhere we went, we very rarely saw more than a couple servers working.
- Vacation planners tried to trick us into a presentation. We asked if we could visit other resorts and they insisted they could get us free passes to Grand. Sat us down, then threw in $300 “as a gift.” We went back down a little later and asked them, they confirmed it was a presentation and we canceled it.
- The elevators and waiting space around are tiny. We often had to walk sideways just to navigate through the groups of people waiting.
- Little to no shade around pools. Often, umbrellas couldn’t even be up because of the wind (one time we put ours up and someone came and shut it without a word).
- I left a decent tip on my husband’s birthday asking the maid to do something nice for him, and they took the tip and the note but didn’t do anything (or even clean it all the way)
- Multiple days in a row the room either wasn’t cleaned (despite leaving the green light on) or only half cleaned (didn’t replace towels, remove dirty dishes, etc.) We had to request the room be cleaned almost every day.
- Food overall was just not very good. Momo was good, Gondola was pretty good, but the rest wasn’t. The steakhouse was a big letdown especially.
- They closed the doors at Tavola one night 10 minutes after opening with only like 5 tables sat because “they didn’t have enough staff” but started seating people again a few minutes later. Likely a misunderstanding, but frustrating to be turned away from an empty restaurant.
- Pools and surrounding areas were DIRTY, especially the skybar pools. The water was filmy and, to our horror, we actually found poop floating in the pool on day 2. Didn’t go back to the upstairs pool after that.
- There was very little entertainment. There was a fire show one night and I think a couple singers throughout the week, but there is so little to do at this resort.
- When checking out at Palace, there are people near the doors to upsell you. The person who stopped us wouldn’t leave us alone. We told him the week sucked and he agreed that it’s not a good resort. He said they are well aware that the resort is in need of a renovation and that instead they are putting the money towards building a different one. When we said we had been to many other resorts, including Le Blanc, he made it seem as though we should have known Beach was a far inferior resort. I told him I wish we had known before we came here and that the service was severely lacking due to being understaffed. We had to tell him no another 3 or so times before he let us leave.

All in all, just not a good experience. I feel jipped that I spent so much PTO and money (over $5k just for the resort, not including flights or anything else) to have such a bad time. Crowded and service was lacking. Thank god we could spend our days at other resorts, so we spent the last 5 full days taking cabs (and spending additional money to do so) just so we could enjoy our time in Mexico. We seriously considered just eating the cost and going home early, it was that bad.

Nice family vacation.

Just got back from a week at Beach Palace and here are a few key takeaways:

The pools are heated, kind of. A couple of the days one of the rooftop pools was near bath temp and then the rest of the trip it was COLD. The other pools seem to be decent temp. Water slide pool was coldest and the swim up bar pool was very comfortable. The hot tub on the roof is NOT hot. Just a whirlpool.

Service was as good as it could be. The resort seems slightly understaffed. They were great at making accommodations.

The restaurants were great. Momo on the Asian food nights were our favorite. We went twice. The pizza place upstairs was awesome as well. Agra by Momo was very nicely done. The Steakhouse was great as well. They put on quite the experience if you buy the items that cost extra. Wine selection was very good as well. Buffet was just... buffet food.

Make sure to have someone from your party in line at the restaurant you want 15 min early as it doesn't seem like they take many reservations and wont seat you until your whole party arrives. Be there by 6:00 if you want dinner to be done by 8:00ish.

The rooms were spacious but seeming like they need an update and refresh. The shower door leaked and one of the faucets at the sink was loose- just a bit of a sloppy look. AC worked well and beds were comfy. Water pressure in shower is GREAT!

There weren't a ton of activities for the little ones, so it might be a good idea to find some off-resort activities for the younger crowd for a day or two.

The drinks were good. Nothing crazy, but exactly what you'd expect from an all inclusive in Mexico. Modelo on tap everywhere that they serve to you in what seemed to be an 8 ounce juice glass. Bring plenty of tip money for your refills lol. You can request Michelob ultra and Corona to the rooms (never tried at the pool, though they also offer Corona N/A). GREAT option for Americans who like to drink light beer.

The beach is super nice and the water is gorgeous. The workers take nice care of the beach and cleaned up seaweed daily. Water was rough while we were there, so we didn't spend a ton of time down there.

We booked under a member and they give you resort credits. The credits are about as worthless as monopoly money. You're allowed to use credit in the giftshop for certain things, but then you pay a 16% tax on the full amount. Not really sure what its good for. Apparently, you can use 20% of your credits for spa treatments, but we didn't upgrade our spa treatments.

They will try HARD to get you to visit The Grand at Moon Palace. I heard nothing but horror stories. They sell it to you as a 90 minute long tour and presentation with a breakfast. We talked to a few couples that said it took HOURS to get through the presentation and its ULTRA high pressure sales. Do not go unless you're really interested in getting involved in their membership (doesn't seem like a good deal to me).

Overall, it's a nice resort in a great location. The place is a bit tired and is in pretty good need of a full restoration. The paint in places is chipping, or miscolored. Some of the plumbing of the pools seemed to be broken, or leaky. I'd stay again and recommend to a friend regardless of the shortcomings. But, would love to see some improvements.

I had an amazing stay at The Beach Palace in February, enjoying the fantastic beach, lovely staff, and delicious food. However, I caution against attending their membership meeting at Moon Palace, where they promise a lot of benefits, but they push aggressively, and it took almost three hours to decline an $8k offer, we had to say no to three different people. They trapped us because we wanted to book a Chichen Itza tour through the hotel and they said we wouldn't need to pay the 400 dollars per couple if we went to a meeting at the Moon palace, but it turned out to be a costly deception because we lost a whole morning, and the actual cost for Chichen Itza being around $140 for 2 people if you book over the internet, not the 400$ that the hotel staff told us, they lied. So avoid the meeting to save time, unless you want to spend 8 thousands dollars to be a member of their hotels and get "benefits".

Terrible hotel !!!!! Terrible hotel chain!!!!

Use your Christmas vacation time to sale their vacation package.

No honesty, no transparency, no integrity.

No more stay.
