It is a place to enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

Our first time to Casa marina! Very boring! If it wasn’t for the sunny days you’d be in your room wishing you were home! The food is 4 out of 10! But the worst part is the disco! Canadians are a big part of Casa Marina and the DJ does nothing to accommodate them with different music selections! Canadians like music! They play their music choice and play it too loud! Deafening! How can they promote entertainment when the music is same every nite no matter what! Definitely will not be coming back to Casa Marina! Only good thing is the room and the view plus the kind service! Save your money and choose another resort! This place is a big disappointment! Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else! Sorry to the diehards that like the place! Oh ya! Forgot! Had to get drano to unclog the drain after the maintenance man came and tried to unclog the sink! Fix the dj! Lower the sound! Create better food and give us a chance to dance! Oh ya and! Change the syrup they make the drinks with! Very low quality!

Excellent place, good food if you want to go to rest this is where you should go

I was delighted with the visit, I really liked it.

I loved the service, everything is very quiet, you can definitely rest, the entertainers are a sweetheart and all the staff in general

Excellent beach service Alicia

Regular, they should improve the snacks, there is no fried chicken. Not even ice cream

An alcoholic's paradise & a foodie's nightmare.

My mom got food poisoning here before we even left off the resort to try anything. ✨️🧚‍♀️ it's fantastic!

🚩our hotel door can be opened with a simple good push!!! PLEASE TEST YOUR DOOR BEFORE FEELING SECURE AS IT COULD BE EASILY PUSHED OPEN EVEN WHEN CLOSED FULLY!

Everything felt so mass produced, but not in like a Disney mass produced way, but like you know the free breakfast at any cheap hotel how they serve you a "continental breakfast" and every food item obviously had the minimum amount of work done on it? Like that but, not just with food either.

🍲🌯🥗 The food - looks so good but is very neutral flavor profile, I understand they have to follow dietary needs to a lot of people and can't over season it.... so anyone who likes good flavourful food has to pay the price.

🍹The drinks - are so disgusting if you hate overtly sweet sugary drinks. I tried some non-alco and alco cocktails, they are so so sweet. I only tried the Pineapple juice here so far, but I could tell it was either not 100% juice or juice with SUPER added sugar

🏠 The room - our room was one of the worst located rooms. 25ft behind our door across the street is a bar that we hear wild patrons until midnight. Than around... 6am-7am the laundry gets started, which is below our room, so I get to hear the beautiful sound of the motor turning on my 5-6 hours of unrestful sleep.

🛁 The room's bathroom - dude, fix the security bar. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

🏖The view - was beautiful, but it was paralleled by a convulsing alcoholic whose body kept trying to throw up, but he kept fighting it while adding more alcohol on top.... It quickly went from oh how beautiful to very sad and depressing 😞

Overall? Tbh, it's boring & I want to go home :)

During my stay, a woman who had a bracelet whom I met in the city and whom I did not know. She accompanied me and at the gate the guards intercepted her. By the time I spoke to the guard the woman had left. So the manager said to pay 800 dollars or he threatened to call the police. which is not desirable in the country. Every time I tried to resolve this he threatened to call the police. So I preferred to pay for my security. The hotel is equipped with surveillance cameras, a simple check could have solved the problem. But he didn't check anything for you...

We were 4 adults and a minor.
The attention of the staff was very good, taking into account that we entered on Friday and left on Sunday. Few premises, few guests.
The room was remodeled, it had an extra cost but not significant and we chose to take it that way. The guy at the reception was very kind and gentle, he explained everything in great detail, the bellman was also very kind.
Excellent food, very helpful waiters. They do the best they can with what they have.
Negative aspects:
- We didn't want housekeeping so we put up the sign and when we asked the waitress to only change towels while we were inside, she refused to do so, because "we had to remove the paper from the door..." :/
- The pool water smells like pond water, the swimsuits stunk when you get home, you should check how the water is chlorinated more carefully.
-The rules for returning beach towels should be less strict and try to help the client manage at the time of departure if it is not completely clear or if they need assistance.

In general, for the price and taking into account that we are on the coast of Puerto Plata, it is generally acceptable.

Very beautiful complex in the heart of Sosua. Close to everything within walking distance. A renovated room with a sea view is a must. Don't compare this resort with 5 stars but it deserves a good 4 stars. Good buffet, the cocktails are excellent and the service more than perfect.

Great hotel right on the beach in the lively town of Sosua. There is so much you can do here.

Loves the little jacuzzi pools near the water. Beach was small and a little rough. Dine in restaurant food was great! Buffet was OK. Enjoyed the entertainment at night. Adults only section had kids, which surprised me. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Overall, it's good value for your money. They can improve on the food side, especially the dessert . After dinner, you don't find anything to eat, it's better if they have some snack bar open till midnight. Beach is nice. Restaurant on beach gives amazing views.

Take the time to read if you want an honest (albeit lengthy) review of my experience. Not a huge review person but this one feels important to share. This hotel is very outdated, and in the short stay my friend and I had, the service was virtually non existent. There was no bar at the pool (main or otherwise). Bartenders and servers seemed unfriendly. No drink service at the buffet. Was impossible to get bottled water. (Went on a wild goose chase where staff kept telling us to check with various other areas of the resort - none of which resulted in us actually getting the bottled water) The rooms were nothing short of unhygienic - and I am pretty easy going- but this was the worst part in my opinion. There was blood on the wall, hair and sticky substances on the fixtures in the bathroom. We ended up changing resorts. When we told the front desk we were checking out 5 days early and changing resorts, there was no follow up questions as to why which could be because 1. It happens all the time , or 2. They don’t care at all or a combo or the two. There was no music or entertainment at the main pool with the exception of pool aerobics led by what I had to assume was a staff member, although no uniform to indicate as such. Pool towels were piled up in one large bin, unfolded , at which point we saw guests adding their used towels to the same bin as the “clean” ones. The “elite” parts of the resort seemed cleaner and better, but of course if you don’t have the upgraded package, they are very diligent in restricting access. Beach was small, but beautiful and good swimming. Views were very nice, just didn’t seem like we could fully enjoy them when all the other elements were so lacking. We didn’t have much experience with the food because we only stayed two nights, but it was better than I expected based on the rest of the experience. Not meaning to bring any business owners down, but this resort is not as advertised and I wished I had taken the negative reviews more seriously. I knew to have low expectations based on cost, but I never imagined it would be this bad, and there are other , cleaner resorts at the same price point. There are a mysterious number of 5 star ratings with no comments which brings the average rating up way higher than it deserves to be - again in my opinion. Goodluck in planning your vacation!

Great place to take a vacation at a beautiful location. Yes your toilet may get plugged but they will come fix it nothing out of the ordinary. The food is really good. The people are really good. The town is incredible and the price is really good. I highly recommend casa marina and all it's paradise has to offer. if you're a complainer, then nothing will help make you happy! if you're in between the age of 20 and above and knows how to enjoy paradise you will have a blast I promise. I had a fantastic time I will be going back!

Very nice place. Having had several 5* here I am very satisfied. Juliana our housekeeper is superb. Super good drinks. Food at the buffet very good, very good Italian. This evening we are trying Mexican.

Good service, good attention
