Marz Tyron and Rubie were outstanding at the swim up bar!! The people working there are some of the nicest people I've been around!!

Extremely disappointed with our vacation. We have traveled to many islands in the Caribbean and Mexico. This was by far the worst experience we have had. We paid extra for a "premium" room with an ocean view. Upon arrival were super disappointed to find a very run down hotel that looks like it has not been updated since 1980. The pictures on the website are very deceiving, it looks nothing like the pictures.
1. Rooms are very run down. Ocean view consisted of a small sliver of the ocean far away that you can barely see. Rooms smelled musty and bedding was stained.
2. Bathrooms were very small. Hot water didn't work for first 3 days we were there. We were told if we tip the housekeeper it would work. Magically, once we started tipping, our hot water started working. Even though maintenence came up 2 times prior and couldn't fix it.
3. The website boasts several restaurants, but good luck getting a reservation. All were booked up the day we arrived. We got to 1 restaurant and had to eat at the buffet the rest of the time. Buffet is good, but hardly any options.
4. Beach is on the Atlantic side--we did not realize this when we booked. Water is very choppy and looks nothing like pictures. If you want to go to Caribbean for the turquoise water, this is not the resort for you.
5. They do not give wristbands to any guests, which I found weird. There is no way of telling who is a resort guest and who is not!?
6. 1 person in our party was sick the second day with vomiting and diarrhea assumingly from the food.
Overall, very disappointed. The money that you pay is not worth it. Spend your money at a better resort.

1.5km from airport. You can practically walk up to it if it was not for bags and kid in tow. Perfect quiet place to stay and enjoy with smaller kids. Lots of things to do. Daily character shows through the day and parades at night to keep them occupied. Lazy river and lots of shallow pools to soak up and teach kids to swim
Resort is clean quiet even during busy season and proximity to air port has no notice bearing from planes.
Lots of excursions to choose from if you like to explore. Short ones and full day trips are available with places to stop on way soak in water falls and pools to escape some of the heat and give kids a break.

My family and I just came back from an amazing week at Coconut Bay. I can’t say enough positive things about this resort. We will definitely be back. The true people at the resort that made our week spectacular were Marz and Tyron at the pool bar. They do an amazing job and run the bar effortlessly and make you feel like family. Sage is also amazing. She couldn’t do enough for our family. Always made sure we were well taken care of. Dre impressed us with his dedication to cleaning the pool area with a complete smile on his face while doing it and serving you anything you needed. Also, Miles at the Jerk Tree was fantastic. He was particularly amazing to my 14 year old son. He made our visits so memorable and personable.
Nick and Jedi deserve a huge shoutout. They were at the main bar in the hotel and you get a sense that they genuinely love their job and could not do enough for you, while running a busy bar effortlessly. Lastly, my son loved Topez. He enjoyed all the effort and activities that were put together for teens.
Overall, a fantastic week. We LOVED Coconut Bay and St. Lucia.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Coconut Bay! My children are 3 & 7 and they had an absolute blast at the pools, water slides and all the fun they had there. This was definitely a trip we booked focused on a place our kids would love and they did! We felt there were pros and cons but overall, we still would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an all inclusive on a safe island, at a decent price with lots to do for kids. My kids loved the games (duck race, foam party, musical chairs, tug of war, lazy river race and more)!

PROS:
-Loved the location, 5 mins from the airport and also the stunning oceanfront views but airplanes didn’t disturb us at all.
-There was so much for our kids to do - pools, water slides, petting zoo, snorkeling, playing on beach, ping pong/pool and more! They were never bored.
-Stunning island that felt very safe
-All inclusive was so nice to not have to worry about a thing - we could order as much food/drinks as we wanted
-Many staff were so friendly, especially housekeeping, I wish I could remembered two of their names - I think Carla was one. My daughter was sick and they were so kind and helpful. There’s some staff who seemed like they didn’t want to be there but you get that at every hotel.
-I did an oceanfront massage and it was amazing! I also took an hour to myself at the harmony pool too, and it was very quiet and relaxing on that side of the resort.

CONS:
-The food was ok which we kinda expected for an all-inclusive. My kids loved the pizza, burgers, fries but my husband and it thought the other food was mediocre. The restaurant food was definitely better. We loved trattoria most! Jerk tree house chicken was good but def felt options lacked variety after several days. Buffet food was really mediocre, much of it was over cooked or just not great. My husband said the tuna poke at Silk was the worst he’d ever had, so pretty hit or miss with the food.
-My 3 year old got sick while there, requiring a trip to the local hospital which was an unnerving experience going to a hospital in an old stadium and we don’t know if it was a stomach bug or food/water or something. Definitely not blaming coconut bay bc we don’t know what caused it for sure but my husband, me and my other daughter also had unsettled stomachs while there all week - again could’ve been a stomach bug but who knows.
-Rooms are a bit dated and we had ants/spiders in our room at times.
-Overall the resort was pretty clean but we did witness a woman making crepes drop the spatula on the dirty resort floor and simply wipe it off with a towel rather then clean it with soap/water which really disturbed us. My husband also had flies in a freshly made cocktail, so think cups were dirty.
-We needed more cash and there is no atm on-site which I found very inconvenient. We had to pay $20 to take a taxi to town, and took about 1.5 hours because had to go to multiple atm’s before we found one that worked/took our US debit card.
-I wish they would have better articulated that the excursions through the hotel is simply booking a taxi driver to drive you around, not a tour guide. If I had known this, I think I would have booked a tour outside the resort that could have actually educated us about the island on our excursion rather then just drive us.

TIPS:
-Bring plenty of cash since no ATM on-site
-Bring your own cups for the all inclusive drinks. Lots of other people did and we wished we had thought of that. Not necessary at all but the cups they serve drinks in are pretty small so would’ve been nice to have our own larger tumblers that they’d refill for you!
-Bring your own pool float/pool toys to use. They have a float pump in the store and blew up the one we bought at the store. (check to ensure they’d blow up a float you bring)
-Bring plenty of sunscreen and bug spray! They sell it there but it’s expensive in the store.
-Bring pedialyte incase your child gets sick. They had none in the store and they had run out of Gatorade in the convenient when we were there.

It is *very* hard to be anything other than extremely positive about this place. The staff, in particular, are exceptional and good fun to be around. The food is excellent and plentiful and the drinks flow very freely (there are lots of different styles of rum to enjoy). The site is spacious, calm and never feels overcrowded, and the beach (which surprisingly few seem to get to) is gorgeous. We ate in most of the restaurants and did not find it hard to get a booking later in the evening, which suited us fine. Silk was my favourite. We also enjoyed the reggae evening; the band is superb. The site is very close to the airport - the runway is at the end of the driveway! - which makes it very convenient. There are too few flights for it to be a noise concern. Being on the eastern coast, there is a breeze but it is wonderfully cooling. The lazy river is very relaxing and the water slides fun. Having an adults only side creates some extra space for couples, etc. but the family side is relaxed too. I can see why some people have said that the rooms are a bit dated but I wouldn't want to overstate this, partly because we were hardly ever in them, partly because they are spacious (for two people, at least), and most especially because housekeeping kept them spotless, as well as being very creative in modelling animals with the towels! About the worst I can think to say is that one of the treadmills in the gym was broken and that the tree frogs are noisy little beasts at night (never saw one, just heard). But, honestly, this place is pretty much perfect and absolutely deserves the very many positive reviews it receives. The main problem, for us, is that we are going on to another resort now and this one has set the bar very, very high.

Really good service at the buffet especially waiter Randell. He stuck out to me and my cousins and was really fast to refill our waters and overall very nice. Also I see him around the hotel doing other stuff and working hard. If you see him around say hi!

Five Big Coconuts for Coconut Bay! Everything was fantastic! The staff, the facilities, the food, the property , the beach, the entertainment; we loved it all! Highly recommend.

We had a wish list booking this holiday and Coconut bay exceeded it from the kindness of the staff to the food and activities -it was just perfect and we couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for a holiday in St Lucia -it is perfect for couples, families, children ,everyone 😁

Wonderful vacation. Beautiful resort. Food is delicious. Staff are helpful and friendly. Beach is gorgeous. Didn't want to leave. Shenika in the main buffet is the nicest person I have ever met at a resort. She made our two year olds day eveyrime he saw her. Thank you everyone.

Delta Bravo Dan is what we all named him. What a joke. Hitting on the patrons. He should stick to bothering the local goat population. Claiming he is the GM. What an embarrassment if he really is. Massengale Dan. Repent.

A year later I came back to edit my review. I gave the resort a second chance and it was an incredible experience. The staff is amazing! Also, the resort is so close to the airport it was about a 5min drive and they have a mile Long Beach. Seems the other resort either have no water front or are a decent drive away. Can’t wait to go back. The food is amazing!!!

Had an amazing time! The staff was so welcoming! The women at the hostess desk especially Sheekena in the marketplace were so friendly as were the waitstaff. Can’t say enough about the entertainment crew! Especially Gillie and Topaz!! The hotel itself is older so the rooms are outdated. Star our room attendant left us lovely notes every day which we looked forward to! Can’t wait to return!

Everyone at Coconut Bay was absolutely fabulous to work with regarding planning my moms wedding and the staff was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. We attended a ton of the events hosted on the resort and had a blast. The food was delicious at all the restaurants and the buffets were incredible- FULL of options. The bars were always stocked and truly had something for everyone- from Dirty Banana, to Strawberry Daiquiris, Espresso Martinis, Punches and more. We had so much fun at Coconut Bay, we cannot WAIT to come back. Huge shoutout and thanks to Onita, Keisha and Mia with the wedding and events on-site, we felt so confident in all the planning and the day off was breathtaking. Also would like to acknowledge the staff who became like family, they truly cared and welcomed us with warm smiles, laughter, and fun. Thank you Vernon, Dre, Dwain, Gille Akia, Topaz, Tari, Claude, Holder, Dahlia, Leann, Marz, Chard, Kurdy, Andrew, Andra, Salange, Richy, Edward, Ed, Miles, Rubia, Shamil, Karamele, Travis, Lamar, Steffi, Quint, Kendal, Dez, Kerry, Jeremey, Geoffrey, and honestly many many more kind souls there at Coconut Bay!

St. Lucia is a beautiful island to visit, coconut bay is on the windward side of the island, as a result the beaches are a bit rougher and littered with the dreaded sargasum seaweed. The grounds are well kept and the overall layout of the resort is very nice. The kids Zone/ water slides / petting zoo were highly praised by our little ones. The rooms are outdated, which doesn't bother me a whole lot but plan to pack putlet converters to be able to charge your devices. The staff were respectful & polite but weren't overly friendly. The food was good, not excellent, 4/5. Overall I would definitely return and we did have an excellent stay.

I've stayed at Coconut Bay at least 8 times and I'm never disappointed. First off, the trip from the airport to the resort is a dream. It's only a 3-minute ride! When you arrive to the resort, you are greeted with a delicious cocktail and the open-air lobby is the perfect setting to really get you into a vacation state of mind. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and they truly care about their guests. The rooms are nice and will be even better when the resort completes their room renovations (this project is in its early stages). For those coming from the states, you should bring plug adapters since the rooms tend to be limited on the number of US plugs. There are so many food options throughout the resort! The Jerk Treehouse is a favorite. They added gyros, sliced fresh from the cone, to the menu at Flip Flops...so delicious! The fine dining options are phenomenal as well! My favorite things to do at the resort are walk the beach down to the surf shack (stop in and say HI to Linus and the team), play in the lazy river and the slides, hang in the adult's hot tub, lounge in a sun chaser, and play pool up at the rum bar. Speaking of rum, I highly encourage you to start your vacation with a dirty banana! They are addicting! The bartenders know how to make amazing cocktails! Not sure what you want? Give them an idea of what you like and they'll make you the perfect cocktail! Again, I really can't say enough about the staff. They are some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and at the end of the trip, it's hard to say goodbye. I've learned to simply say, I'll see you again soon :)

Monday to Monday is too long a stay unless you have small children. The staff was friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
The rooms were not great. The bathrooms were less than that. Toilet running, hot and cold water in shower impossible to adjust and simply too small.
The pools were nice but chilly bc they aren’t heated. No one on the beach because the water is too cold and rough.
The Veranda and Calabash were the two best restaurants. The Asian Fusion is an no go unless you order just sushi and appetizers … do not order any entrees. Six of us didn’t eat any of them.
The Italian restaurant is outdoors and was ok. Flip Flops is a nice alternative to the Buffet. The buffet is hit and miss depending on your individual tastes.
The WiFi is unreliable and we were constantly having to reconnect.
If you play Pickleball, the courts were adequate and the nets were movable.
Not much in the way of nightlife entertainment. Western and Caribbean night was pretty much it unless you count the singers in the lobby. Kareoke one night if you can handle the volume.
Don’t be fooled by the videos and brochures. Zip lining was about $150 per person. No snorkeling bc the hotel is on the Atlantic Ocean and not the Caribbean. Scenery is tropical but much less than the brochures. Bring mosquito spray.
All considered, not a place we would even consider returning to

Just ok out of a 7 day vacation had deal with problems at least 2 days. Don't go

We just returned from a NYE 2024 stay with 4 friends. It was superb in all respects. The NYE show with Steve Smith & the Nakeds and the Caribbean house band had everyone dancing. The fireworks display at midnight was off the charts. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and the ocean views are spectacular! I've read where people have mentioned the proximity to the airport being a negative, but ... the air traffic is minimal and barely noticeable. I viewed the closeness to the airport (3 minute drive) as a plus, as the roads on the island are mostly switchbacks, and hills, and narrow ... and so, some resorts are much farther away from the main airport in Hewanorra. And, also the staff were all great and very friendly. For excursions, we did the Sunset Cruise, and the sulfur baths, waterfall, and Sugar Bay beach visit. All these photos are of Coconut Bay beach. We'll be back!

If you have young kids, this is the place to stay! The children’s center is one of the best in all the Caribbean - they even have a baby room and take kids of any age! Petting zoo on site. Water slides for enjoyment.

Proximity to airport is a big plus, but as one of the few resorts on the Atlantic side, there is a lot of seaweed - but the pools and view more than make up for that imho.

Pools are cleaned daily in the morning - only complaint is that the cleaning while exhaustive tends to run into valuable pool time.

The rooms are quite spacious - only complaint is the stand in shower is small and therefore hard to give little kids baths without making a big mess.

Food was superb for an all inclusive - menu is rotated daily with great variety and the expected constant items you’d expect for young kids. Gluten free options always available. The food by the bar is made to order which results in much better quality, but you do have to wait sometimes. The jerk house staff always had a smile - Sharmil was extremely friendly to my kids.

The staff are quite friendly and welcoming. The resort put on quite the show and even handed out gifts for kids during Christmas.

We did have an issue with the excursion team, where they forgot to book a driver for our booking and tried to cover it up, but management truly cares - Leona was an exceptional resort manager and worked to make things right

Would absolutely return and stay here!
