I stayed here for work and they found me a room with a desk. Thanks everyone ! And the exercise room is always open.

**Hotel Review: Courtyard Waikiki Beach**

As a traveler who recently stayed at the Courtyard Waikiki Beach hotel, I must express my disappointment with the overall experience. While the hotel's location is convenient and offers easy access to the beach, the quality of stay fell far below expectations.

Firstly, the bedding in the rooms was subpar, with worn-out linens and uncomfortable mattresses that made it challenging to get a good night's sleep. The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired, as I noticed dust accumulation in corners and an overall lack of attention to detail in housekeeping.

One of the most frustrating aspects of the stay was the incredibly small shower in the bathroom. The cramped quarters made it difficult to shower comfortably, and the lack of space was a major inconvenience.

Furthermore, the noise from traffic outside the hotel was incessant, disrupting any chance of relaxation or peace and quiet during my stay. The constant hum of vehicles passing by made it challenging to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.

To add to the dissatisfaction, I was surprised by hidden "destination tax" fees that were charged without prior disclosure. These additional charges significantly inflated the final cost of my stay and left a sour taste in my mouth regarding the hotel's transparency in pricing.

Overall, I cannot recommend the Courtyard Waikiki Beach hotel based on my experience with the poor quality of bedding, cleanliness issues, small shower space, disruptive noise from traffic, and undisclosed destination tax fees. Travelers seeking a comfortable and hassle-free stay may want to consider alternative accommodation options in the area.

It’s fine. Hotel is definitely outdated and has very few resort perks; however, it’s not really a resort so that makes sense. No bar, and no food is kind of a let down but it seems like a bar may be coming (construction in the lobby). Valet parking is overprice but that’s par for the area. Some of the good perks are that the pool area is very nice compared to some of the other Waikiki hotels I’ve stayed and the location is very good. I recommend that Marriott address some of the unacceptably outdated features such as broken elevators and balcony doors.
Rooms are very very small but nice. Overall the courtyard is acceptable. I would not recommend for a romantic/family vacation but if you are traveling for work or just stopping by the area for a few nights it’s perfect.

I've stayed in Marriott properties 10 months out of the year, every year, for the last 11 years. The Courtyard in Waikiki has, by far, the finest front desk staff I have ever encountered. Marissa, Tonya, Megan, Christine and John are consistently professional, respectful, incredibly pleasant and helpful. I can't thank them enough for making the last six months so positive!

Rooms were comfortable. Hotel very ideally located , staff very co-operative, understanding and always ready to help especially Tanya, Christi, Leresa and John who went out of their way in making sure we were taken care. After our flight back to Canada was delayed, they made sure we were comfortable until we left for the airport. Thank you everyone for making our stay memorable.

Updated review : Location is pretty good. Pool and hot tub were great as well. Rooms need improvement for sure. The bathroom looks very outdated, especially the bathtub - it was peeled off and looked dirty. The main building rooms are much better than the other one, we got moved to the main building after raising this issue.

We have come quite a few times over the years to Hawaii and we have stayed at the Courtyard Marriott many times we really love this place because all the staff make you feel welcome and great you all day every day, nothing is a hurdle for them when it comes to customer service. Within the first week of being here we had a issue with our room and they gladly moved us to another room that was higher without any issues. My daughter had her birthday here and the crew from the lobby bought her a present and delivered it to the room , but they also signed her birthday card which made it very personal but in a great way that will leave us a great memory of this wonderful resort. I do not hesitate in recommending for families to come and stay here it is very well located near everything including buses and trolleys to take you anywhere. It is unfortunate that I can only give 5 stars because I would not hesitate in giving 10. Well done Courtyard Marriott.

By far the worst courtyard I have stayed in

I really feel that everything is great about this place except for the actual rooms we stayed in. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience because the AC wouldn’t turn off with the remote we were provided with, and it seemed like there was no insulation between the walls because we could hear full on conversations from the other room next to us. We aren’t picky by any means, but we feel that our expectations from the room were not met.

The room is dirty, used (not cleaned), needs updating for the price. Not sure why Marriott is claiming this one. Second guessing any future Marriott stays. Maybe the towers are different, and the other one is better.

The place is average and although it has a pool and gym all of which were very clean. It's what it doesn't have or wasn't open like a Bar/restaurant in the hotel or on the grounds...there was a coffee and gift shop. There's nowhere besides the pool to socialize with other guests or get a cocktail or some food (which is nice when you dont feel like leaving the hotel or for a pregame before going out) My son said he talked with more folks while in the gym than anywhere else which to me is real waste of a good opportunity. The potential for them is so much more. The rooms were small the bathroom was dated. It's definitely showing its use and age. Now the one BIG positive was the staff I can't say enough good things about the service I received from the moment we arrived. They were friendly and very polite. They granted every ask and were a great help in answering all our questions. Which I'm sure everyone enjoys. The one big low was the valet service they chose to use although they were polite they made me wait for my car more than once and when I'm paying 60 bucks a day to park my car I expect better service ( they took so long on one day I missed my Dive boat) so add the 300 bucks to my parking rate (no refund from the dive service) but that's a completely different story. The Courtyard did encourage us to file a complaint for reimbursement which now 3 weeks later there has been no response after being told we'd here from them in a couple days after they reviewed their video..? I'm not sure but at 260. a night I guess I shouldn't expect to much. Although I've stayed in other hotels in much larger rooms for the same money but we are talking Waikiki here.

We spent the day here as we were waiting for our late flight. They got us in a few hours before checkin time which was nice. The downstairs is nice with a pool area and waterfall. The location is just a block from the main strip of Waikiki so you can walk just about anywhere. The rooms were pretty bad. Dated, small, and worse than what you would get from a Disney World value resort. Pretty sure we booked an ocean view, but we didn't get one. I wouldn't want to have to stay in one of them very long.

The fire alarm sounded early morning, February 18, 2024, with a very loud announcement and strobe lights flashing in the room which made it next to impossible to see. After a few minutes the alarm announcement changed to advise that it was a false alarm and no need to be concerned. A few minutes later the alarm and strobe lights started with the announcement to evacuate.
This is extremely concerning that a fire alarm malfunctioned in a hotel building full of people. Fire trucks arrived and all occupants stood out on the street with no directions. No apology or explanation of what actually occurred was given at the time or since.
So disappointing Marriott we expect much better from you. We have stayed in Marriot hotels all over the world but I’m afraid the Hilton will be getting our future business.

Very friendly and professional staff. Room was perfect- clean, beautiful balcony views, awesome pool and great coffee and snack shop in the lobby

Solid hotel for price and location. I feel like other reviewers forget that this is a courtyard in the middle of the ocean. We were upgraded to a suite which was nice and was much bigger than the regular double double room. Good location and walking distance to everything you need. Sure things can be upgraded but being in Hawaii we weren’t in our room much anyway.

This hotel should not be a Marriott property. My room is on the eighth floor in a tower the Marriott employee called an upgrade. When I stepped on the elevator, I was shocked to see how filthy the floor was, and how dated it looked. Upon opening my room door, I was hit with a smell of dampness. The room was clean; however, the carpet was extremely soiled. The two beds were not queen, but much smaller, probably double.

The old adage is you get what you pay for, well I guess I shouldn’t complain. This room cost me just shy of $300 a night. Last weekend I stayed at a Marriott in Chattanooga, TN. It was one third the cost I’m paying here, and was a beautiful, clean property. I realize this is Waikiki, but I don’t understand why Marriott would allow such an old, dated property to carry its name.

I’m looking at checking out and paying much more at another non-Marriott property. For the readers who read this, please know if you stay at this property you’ll earn your Marriott points, and you will pay less than the other Marriott properties. However, after saying this, I don’t know how pleased you will be with your decision. Enjoy your family time on Oahu and know this is only an opinion based on all my numerous stays at Marriott properties over the last 30 years. Good luck!

This Courtyard is not up to
MARRIOTT standards. The valet parking is ridiculous, they park anyone not kust guests, wait times 30 minutes or more. They don't have time to help with luggage the management would rather make $58 parking cars for a day for non paying guests than take care of there existing guests. I am going to try to find other accommodations.

Don't get a room on the street side where the buses travel

We were sent here by American Airlines when they delayed our flight by two days. Not cancelled, 'delayed'. The first problem we encountered after arriving late in the day was that the hotel restaurant had gone out of business three months ago. We eventually learned that this made our food vouchers unusable anytime after the morning coffee shop closed at 1:00 PM because they were coded to be valid only at this specific hotel per American's contract with Marriott. American's only solution was to apply for a voucher refund, although it was unclear how to attempt that.

The second issue was that the room and bathroom were both tiny and as humid as the outdoors because of a dysfunctional A/C. But at least we could buy a drink at the lobby bar and hang out by the pool, we thought. Wrong, the lobby bar was permanently closed and the pool was drained for maintenance.

What else? Someone else's shirt was still in the closet when we checked in, and one wall was vibrating with gangster rap much of the time we were in the room, starting at 6:00 AM when our neighbors came home from their night out. The noise was louder than it had to be because our sliding balcony door was partially off its track and couldn't be fully closed. I fixed that myself because a thin 7' wall that a nefarious individual could easily climb over is all that seperates your patio from those of the rooms on either side.

Bottom line, if we had any choice we would never have come here, and definitely never will again. Although the employees were all very friendly and polite, this property is far below the standards of any other Courtyard Marriot we've ever stayed in.

But if you're looking for a cheap hotel with zero evening dining or drinking options, inconsiderate party crowd neighbors, rundown fixtures, and questionable balcony security you're in luck.

Great location with tons of walkable beaches, bars, and restaurants. Room was nice but the bed was too stiff for my liking and the show was small
