Be careful when booking place! The level of disappointment I have for this place. firstly, we booked online, sent the information they asked for. We received our confirmation email, and we called and tried to email this resort. There was no response even after hours we got to the airport no one at the desk, or to take us to the resort as arranged ? we called the local number no answer we were taking to a completely different hotel it cost $267.00 USD per person which was cheaper then the $300USD the taxi drivers were asking for. When we finally went into this hotel, absolutely no satisfaction, the desk staff just said, " Maybe the driver went to the wrong airport." No competition was offered. We had to actually ask for an apology. Sad experience for our first visit to jamaica. Be careful when booking this place!

Attentive and kind staff, clean and airy rooms, delicious traditional breakfasts, a good selection of alcoholic beverages, and FREE access to Dr's Cove beach directly across the road. What more could a person want....

The location is good and bad. You don't get to see the beauty of MoBay but you are on the strip and close to the airport. The popular Doctors Cave beach is literally opposite the hotel (and yout stay includes access for free). If you want to get away from it all this is not the place. If you want to be in the heart of things this is the place.

My room was functional, clean and comfortable. For my one night stay itgave me what I needed.

The food was good. For dinner I had vegetables, fried fish and brown stew sauce. For breakfast, it was mackerel rundown with provisions and plantain. It was all like a good grandma's cooking. They have American style breakfasts and dinners but I didn't try them.

The staff were fantastic and are the reason I would go back if I need to stay for a day or so.

If management spent some more money on the fabric of the building so it matched the staff this would could be a top boutique hotel in MoBay.

Room was terrible. Very old and dated. They are doing renovations and some rooms are already done. But the renovations are slow .
WiFi is non-existent for most of the day

I was visiting for the first time and for my birthday. The staff was wonderful. Very personable, professional and helpful. The security team is great, I always felt safe. The housekeeping team was fantastic. The bartenders are fantastic!! Shout out to Kenny and Kevon! My driver Roland was great. Shout out to Roland and Jaylin also Mr. James. The front desk girls are so cute and professional! I wish they would have videoed my surprise from my sister visiting!! Also a definite Shout Out to MISS D the operational director that I had got a chance to kindly meet. She takes her job seriously and she don’t play! She is fantastic!! This place is a great/ wonderful place to come to experience the real culture and personal rich spirit people that is owned and operated by Jamaican people. That’s what I support. I will be back in July!! See ya soon

Great food, staff were friendly good nightly entertainment and activities

My sister and I spent six (6) days at this resort and I must say we had a great time. The food was great. The food was always available they had open bar all day and grill in the afternoon to eat between meal time plus bar. They also had events at night. Walking distance from ATM, Starbucks and other businesses to go shopping. Directly across from the beach to which they provided access. Baby get that rum punch as your coming through the door 🫣thank me later.

I recently stayed at Deja . Excellent location less than 10 minutes from the airport! For the price 5 of 5. Dr. Cove Beach is literally across the street, beautiful water, coconut sales man on the beach, food , Starbucks is across the street from Deja as well.
Deja resort Food: Excellent authentic jamaican food and tasty overall. I'm talking run down, ackee and salt fish, boil banana, yam, dumplin, porridge etc . Food was great,
The Deja staff servers: Excellent. Kudos to Satiya,(unsure of spelling) he is a gem amongst the staff. Pleasant, attentive , he has been there from its inception, and prior he has served there more than 10 years.
Front desk: Attentive and pleasant! They do have lots of trainees from what I gathered but they were excellent. I booked a shuttle for my departure the night before, for 6 am however the day of I had to be refunded and they had to hail me a taxi because the morning of I was told the shuttle doesn't run until 7 or 730. No issues refunding me.
Drinks: Also not sure what people are saying I saw them give drinks and they did NOT water them down. Juices sweet probably syrup
house keeping: I had to return several times or the next day for things like towels, the response time was slow.
Rooms a little dingy, could use some modifications/upgrades, fresh paint etc but overall comfortable. No phone in the room, so you have to walk down to the front desk, no elevator either. Please Note ac is at 62 so it's cold, you may have to ask for blankets from the front desk but outside the rooms are hot. Some of the maintenance/housekeeping need to be more professional. It's your job so smile, be pleasant 1 person in particular would cussed in patois (jamaican language bc word) if mopping and people have to pass or when cleaning up, cus out loud.
Activity: karaoke, ping-pong, pool table, swimming pool. Dart board but no dart Spa- excellent and pleasant staff best massages ever, thorough!
Other food:outside of diner there is a grill and snack bar. Grill good fritters and jerk chicken and burgers they also have fries , hotdogs. Smack bar: ice cream, pastries, coffee, espresso, tuna sandwiches. Very good!
Overall I do recommend and I Would return yes, I would. Highly recommend Deja Resort.

Horrible horrible horrible. The staff was rude and barely answered questions. There isn't a phone in the rooms. It's so many people hanging outside in front of the hotel who are employees and their friends. My first time there and I will not be back. Very disappointed.

Let's be real here: This is a cheaper option with a wonderful location. If you need a place to simply rest your head and things, then choose here.

Now, for those who want a full enjoyable experience, this is not your selection. The bathtub faucet was not dripping, but running, despite being turned completely off. This went on for the entire 5 days we stayed. The shower had cold water more often than hot water. The plumbing is NOT up to par at all. There are larger roaches outside, which is natural for an open layout, but there are smaller roaches that come up through the drainage. I personally don't like staying in a place with roaches. The Wi-Fi is TERRIBLE. I had work to do over the course of my stay and they have no business center. The Wi-Fi was utter garbage in my room. I had to go all the way down to the lobby or GYM to get a better connection if i wanted to stay on the premises, or cross the street to go to the beach or Starbucks (if it wasn't packed) for strong connection; for someone who has meetings where i have to be on camera and heard, the lobby wasn't a viable option because they play loud music from the bar which is right there. It was a scramble for me at all times to get Wi-Fi. The wait time to be seated in the restaurant is a little longer than needed, simply because someone isn't always at the front to greet and seat you, yet they want you to wait to be seated. The rooms don't have any blankets, just a sheet, and no phone to contact the front desk. Also no central light. The room staff never remembered to give us an extra towel daily for our number of guests. Very limited parking for the hotel as well. The AC worked well, though, and though the rooms were old and outdated, they were fairly clean, considering.

The front desk is helpful in terms of info and kindness. The wait staff is also kind. But overall, not my style. Not a true all inclusive and if you want a cheap time, it will do the job. Its location is the best thing going for it.

I won't go into detail, as all the points in all the negative reviews are true. Lets say that staying here, you become acutely aware that you are being viewed as no more than a cash cow. None of the "free" stuff was worth consuming. I'd rather sleep in a doorway and eat peanut butter sanwiches at the Salvation Army.

Deja Resort was great Andre took great care of me and my family he sent us to all the rt spots me and my family will be going back thank you for everything Andre

In the very center of Montego Bay, on the main, noisy street. Close to the airport and Doctor Cove beach which is a big plus.
We got a quite quiet room, but the bathroom needs a general renovation.
The all-inclusive formula is quite modest.

Choose Deja Resort for an unforgettable vacation experience. Deja Resort is an excellent choice for your next vacation. The staff at the resort is unmatched in their friendliness and helpfulness. From the well-maintained rooms to the delicious food at the buffet and grill, every aspect of your stay will exceed your expectations. The drink menu is particularly impressive, especially considering the resort's smaller size. The front doorman is incredibly helpful and goes out of his way to ensure that guests cross Hip Street safely with a stop sign, keeping in mind the unpredictable nature of local drivers. Any issues that arise during your stay are addressed promptly and efficiently by the attentive staff. Choose Deja Resort for an unforgettable vacation experience.

I was very skeptical about staying here because of some of the negative reviews. I booked it anyway and prayed for the best lol.

This hotel is definitely dated but the heartbeat is alive and kicking. The room was clean, the food was really good, and the service was even better.

For the price point this hotel delivered beyond my expectations. The location was on point as well, the beach was beautiful and directly across the street.

My only complaint was the Wi-Fi, terrible also if you're in the rooms 100 or up, there are plenty of stairs to walk however, I did not see that as a negative being I needed the exercise after eating all that delicious food lol.

Thanks for the good vibes and the wonderful Memories Deja!

Fantastic place! Giving five stars for the value / service! Very nice hotel, always pleasant and helpful staff, very good Jamaican food, amazing beach across the road.

We spent one week as a family there. Its not a top-notch Western style All Inclusive Resort however its a fantastic Jamaican owned place, with nice pool, neighborhood, white sand beach with corals further away (good for snorkeling, bring your gear), cuisine. What is not there from 5* resorts, they make up in attitude and friendliness. I hope there would be more places like this.

Deja was okay. The customer service was excellent. The rooms are dated. We had a balcony. However, there wasn't a pleasant view, so we didn't sit out there. The ice cream and coffee were delicious, and you could sit on the balcony overlooking the strip. There is a Starbucks across the strret. The beach is across the street. The strip was friendly. However, you will need a water bottle for water, then only have those cone shape water cups on top of the water cooler. The breakfast was okay, and I loved my omelet. Lunch was okay, and if you miss dinner time, there's nothing to eat. We weren't leaving at night.

Outdated accommodation.

My niece & I spent a week here. You can tell it's an older hotel but we were very happy with how clean it was. The staff was always very pleasant and they kept the place clean. This was my first time out if the US on the streets I felt bombarded but I just said no thanks. I know they are just trying to feed their families. The food at the resort was not all stuff I would normally eat however I was in a different Country. I feel they had a fine spread 3 meals a day and I tried some new foods. Some I liked some not so much.
My only complaint was that no one told us to check out the entertainment board. We found it our last day. Was disappointed that we missed a lot of things we would've enjoyed.
Overall we was very happy with our stay.

This place was great for the value, location, bar staff my housekeeper were all amazing!! made me feel very welcome great drinks and for the price it beat any other place I have stayed , also my room was great beautiful view not quiet but I don't expect that when staying on the hip strip.acess to Dr caves is nice if you like that but for me it was all about location ,safe but around everything. This was my first stay and I definitely will be back.
Thank you Deja staff for being amazing ❤️🇯🇲
