Character breakfast is fantastic
As you all know, you can’t beat this location. Especially if you have kids, easy access in and out of DCA. We also had our 18 month old, so their child friendly pool was top notch and something our child loved. Definitely will be returning.

The grand Californian hotel is amazing and such a great place to stay. The price is a lot. But this is always my one a year trip. The staff is amazing and managers are beyond amazing. Food and service is top notch. And so much to. They have their restaurant story tallers, spa, pool, and large lobby. It's a place to stay. Check it out.
We were there for the Story Tellers character breakfast. Great food, and such fun. The whole family LOVED IT!
Of course it's amazing! The architecture in the lobby is worth a few minutes' exploration. The staff is impeccable. And the location to Disney cannot be topped.
The only thing missing is a quick stop cafe for coffee, pastries, etc. Go across to the Pixar hotel for that.
Had the brunch buffet in Storyteller Cafe. Excellent selections.
We love coming to this hotel. There is a great atmosphere here. In the lobby they have a TV playing Disney cartoons the kids can watch on little chairs and 2 little rocking chairs! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. The pool area is really nice. We love the Craftsman Grill food. I also really like the fact that there is an entrance directly into CA Adventure Park from the hotel. It makes it so easy.

The Grand Californian provided our best hotel experience ever. The accommodations were spacious and relaxing and the staff was friendly and helpful, Five stars ***** for the Bell Desk!
The best way to enjoy the parks! Connects directly to California Adventure Park. Restaurants connected to the hotel. Self parking is far. Very friendly & helpful. You can leave your luggage with them, they'll tag it and give you a receipt then you can enjoy the parks while you wait for your room. The luggage can be delivered to the room only if someone will be present to receive it.
Magnificent Stay. Wonderful service. I just love escaping from life and coming here. The entire staff does a magical job!

Grand Californian is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the vacation you need! Excellent food, great shopping and right in front of Disneyland!
This was a bucket list item of mine so when the stars aligned and I could afford a room here, I was stoked. The location can’t be beat - and it allowed my kids to come and go independently with ease.
Staff were overall friendly, especially the bellhops who were hands down the nicest staff we encountered on our trip.
The downside was definitely the dated rooms. Our wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling and I don’t think the rooms have been updated since the hotel opened.
It was great to stay here once, but I honestly think Disneyland Hotel has better (or at least, equivalent) rooms for much more affordable prices and just a little more walking.
I have stayed here 6 times or so for our annual services summit. Wonderful place. Exceptional quality of service. Fun place.
Great place to stay for work as well as play. The theme is a bit dated for my choice. Rooms are well maintained, but a bit depressing. Not a problem if you’re coming with your family and will stay out in theme parks for most of the day.
Huge negative is lack of bidet in toilets. One has to use less hygienic and environmentally unfriendly papers to clean up after the deed!
One great plus point is that they have food service to room. You can get basic snacks and drinks at almost all hours. You also have limited lunch and dinner if you need to have that in a pinch. I mean, that’s surprisingly amazing considering that’s mostly unheard of in American setting.
