This resort was not good. Birds were eating food directly from the cold food bar at the buffet and landing on and pecking the deserts. This was an indoor restaurant that kept doors open, inviting them in. Bird feces on chairs and tables. Only felt mildly safe eating from covered hot food. Food quality was terrible. Birds also eating off baskets of chips at adult pool bar before being delivered to unsuspecting customers. Ribeye dish at Portifino restaurant could not be cut with knife provided as it was beyond tough. One night of stay only had buffet or seafood restaurant open for dinner. French restaurant had “temporarily closed” status on phone app. Phone app and in-room app have different information and menus from phone app. Phone app appeared to be what was most accurate.

Room in serious need of redo of floors. See picture. This was an “upgraded” room under a “preferred” stay. Felt very misled by front desk on this upgrade.

Would never stay at another Dreams or Hyatt property . I have been to several all-inclusive resorts, and this was the worst.

Only plus was the wonderful staff.

For a diamond category hotel, it leaves a lot to be desired. From my reservation, I asked for my rooms to be decorated for birthday children. When I checked in, I reminded them and they only decorated one with the anniversary legend. It is a hotel that gives a lot of priority to Americans. We went on tour, we were waiting for towels at the reception, after us an American family arrived and when they arrived the towels were assigned to them when we had been waiting for more than 10 minutes, the lounge chairs in the pools are always separated when there are only 5 people in the pool. pool and when on the lounge chairs there is always a sign in English and Spanish saying that you cannot reserve them, they have only one ATM and it only gives dollars, the facilities already deserve to be updated as well as their activities, it becomes a somewhat hotel Boring, there are staff who are very friendly but in the end you feel the preference of being attentive towards foreign people. It doesn't seem to be a diamond hotel, it leaves a lot to be desired

Overcrowded. Overpriced

This place was completely overcrowded. Staff tried, but were demoralized. Long lines for everything. The experience felt two star, but five star prices.

Dreams provided a room that had a king size bed with a pull out sofa and a small table and chairs. The room size was adequate for 2 adults and 2 children. Service was excellent during our stay. They even brought 2 chocolate strawberries and 2 truffles to our room after we arrived. The room was clean with ample white towels. There were a couple of issues: there weren't enough pool towels or seats by the pool. People hoarded their towels so they could save their lounge chairs and then didn't bother all day to sit in them. It is such a problem that the hotel has plackers telling you that you couldn't save your seat, but no one enforced it. So they ran out of towels early and there was no way you were going to get a seat unless you put out a towel by 6:30 am (yes, that is am). We were confused about the restaurants too. We thought the International Restaurant would be open all the time, but it wasn't. You had to go to a restaurant that served authentic food for that restaurant. We went to Porta Fino that served Mediterranean food, and it was delicious. One night Dreams had a party with food and entertainment in front of the Dreams sign, and that was really good. At Bearfoot Grill, you could get hotdogs, hamburgers, drinks, etc. We wouldn't go back because of the towel situation and the lack of seating. The pool was nice. There wasn't loud noise from people drinking too much. They had an adult only pool and servers that would get you anything you wanted. So, service was excellent. Couldn't make change for pesos. We were there the first week in April.

Great place we loved it! It's a little confusing finding your way around but manageable. Food was good at all restaurants. We really liked renting the beach front Cabana with private pool. Room service was poor, it was wrong, or you order from tablet and it just wouldn't show up.

One of the best hotels in Los Cabos

It was a pleasant but not perfect 3 days spent during the weekend of March 22, 2024.

The campus is small and easy to traverse, the crew are always patrolling the facility to clean up any messes, and although the sand is coarse and painful to walk through the location is a flat oceanfront view with no notable features.

The only objectively bad part of the experience is the dinner arrangements. "The World Cafe" buffet offers the best variety of breakfasts and lunches you can find, but if you want to have dinner you NEED to wait outfront of a given restaurant until they open, or else you likely won't be served. If you have a party of more than 4 you MUST reserve a table at least an hour before opening or else you will be turned away.
Although The World Cafe isn't open during dinner, they cart out a paltry selection for those too unfortunate to make it in to a proper restaurant.

Rude staff, tasteless buffet food, low quality drinks, they hide the bottles and give you what you want of low quality, I will definitely not return to that hotel!

It’s a beautiful hotel but should not be advertised as a 5 star property. The food is a 0 out of 10 and the drinks were watered down way beyond what I was expecting. If you’re going to spend $600+ a night I’d recommend an Airbnb in San Lucas or a different resort. If you book this resort, go to the Costco down the road and stock up on snacks/ drinks. I reached out to Hyatt and never received a response so I’m assuming they don’t care. Rooms were well appointed but they’re ready for a renovation.

It was my son's first experience in an all inclusive resort. It was smaller than I am used to but that's the unique feature everything was in walkable distance great for families older and small children. Wanted to do a big shout out to Brian the entertainment coordinator who took the time to get to know our names and made us feel welcome. The pool staff are very kind and hard working thank you to Elsa and Joel for going the extra mile to look after our large family. The restaurant are really good. Thank you Fernando and Victor, At Sea side grill for your great hospitality and Habanero tequila speciality drinks. The French restaurant Bordeaux the salmon pastry was so yummy. My nephew first time trying escargot.. he says this is going on my favorite list. Big special thank you to room service and housekeeping staff to keep our eyes and tummy full of exceptional service. World Cafe for the yummy variety everyday and the delicious papaya.

Not nearly enough chairs at the pool, for those they have, there aren't enough umbrellas. They also are always out of towels but promising more will come soon. Seriously? A thousand a night and you have to reserve a chair at 6am? We need less green lawns and more chairs with umbrellas.

I just want to share my experience with Dreams Los Cabos. We were married there 2/29/24, and had 36 guests, the location was absolutely beautiful. The resort however was unbelievably hard to deal with from the beginning, it took months and numerous emails just to get a response from someone regarding the wedding and resort stay details. It was downhill right from the beginning at check in they were unable to find our payment, we had to provide receipts to prove that we paid for our rooms. Once we got to our room there was someone else already in them. They were absolutely NOT accommodating to our wedding guests in any way, and I am certain none of our wedding guests will ever book with Dreams again. There was so much more I won't go into detail about... Honestly overall this was the most frustrating experience and would CAUTION any bride (or guest for that matter) from booking their wedding or vacation with Dreams Los Cabos.

The restaurants and food are fantastic, just wish they hired more staff to be more attentive to the guests. Perhaps it was the time of year we went. Still a great place to stay if you don't mind watching several weddings throughout your stay, up to three at a time, which can be very loud especially for those with rooms facing the venues. The live musical talent was great as well. Can't wait to go back!

It was spectacular.......

Had an amazing time with my family. The staff are extremely friendly and the food was amazing!

Accommodations here are incredibly dated and show signs of heavy usage. The staff is in general super overworked and the food is supplied by chef boyardee.
Only good thing is it’s relatively affordable for the area at about $400/night given the surrounding hotels prices. I’d skip this one if budget allows.

Beautiful resort, exceptional service, and one of the nicest walking beaches I have seen.

An all inclusive for a destination wedding. Limited availability of dining facilities. Drinks were weak and kept running out of wine. No hot water in the shower 😩 reported but never fixed. Service staff was very friendly and helpful 🙂. Stay was advertised with a Super Bowl party but required purchase to sit at the tables.

It feels old and many things feel lacking in maintenance. The floor in elevators broken. Scratched or worn wood. Accessories visibly damaged. Very little variety in the food and sadly the quality of their preparations in their restaurants leaves much to be desired. They hardly have a drink, in many cases they don't have a drink or they have a little left and they have to fight to win it with the other guests. I had more of the chain and sadly we are leaving with this bad taste in our mouths.
