Our Opnion

The Excalibur Hotel is a good, affordable choice for a Las Vegas Strip hotel. It's a little on the older side but if the price is right, it's well worth it. You can also upgrade to one of the 2000 renovated Widescreen Rooms which are much nicer than the Standard Rooms. If you are looking for good value on the Strip, also check out the amazingly renovated Tropicana right across the street from the Excalibur.

Pretty dated, feels like the 80s and smells like it too with the stale cigerette smoke. That’s not limited to this hotel though. Staff weren’t particularly helpful or friendly, but did what was required. There’s nothing awful enough to stop you having a good stay here, but there’s nothing really special to attract you either. If you can get it for a good price then go for it, but if there are other hotels around the same place I’d probably reccomend those instead.

arrived early checked bags went for walk on the strip .staff was friendly and we has a great time at the casino after the hockey game leads won .

Great hotel. Rooms very clean and spacious. I will stay again

Loved the Tournament of Kings!!!

Very stinky and dirty everywhere! Crumbs and debris in two of the five rooms my colleagues and I stayed at. Called front desk and they said they'll send someone to clean in the morning. IN THE MORNING???!!! WHAT!

Super!.. very good service..

I never left a bad comment on Google before. But this time I have to give out a one star. First, the rooms and amenities are old at this hotel compare to other hotels in Vegas. Funny that I went to Cuba just before coming to Vegas, and was expecting this hotel to be newer than the Cuban hotels, but they are literally the same. Except this hotel doesn’t provide soap, and the Cuban hotel does. Second, the internet is the worst thing I’ve had. In our room, it keeps breaking and had to wait forever reconnect. I think it’s their strategy to get you downstairs to the lobby to gamble. That’s the only place where internet doesn’t disconnect. Just as I’m typing this message, the internet dropped twice , and took me 10 minutes to reconnect. I will never come back to this hotel again. Avoid.

If you don’t already have perks at the Excalibur make sure to get some. How? Get a players card and use the casino. This hotel is awesome at providing an experience for their members. I did have issues with my room and their restrooms twice, but the hotel took care of it right away. Guests are sometimes rough and the next guest ends up paying for the clogged hair in the sinks or toilets. No biggie. Excalibur was responsive, quick and made it right. The staff was nice during check in. Parking would be better for it was free, but it’s no biggie. I’m glad it only cost $18. You can get parking added to your keycard so it can be quick and easy to get out. The room was spacious and I had some decent views. The experience is always good and I’m thankful to cash in on the perks of free rooms with a small fee for resort and tax. Stayed three days and attended the Photobooth expo at south point. The distance is only 12 min, but this hotel is located in a prime location. Love the castle.

No charger plug inside. Only one side of the bed had an out let. No hair conditioner. Hand soap hardly comes out because they are worried about you stealing it
No fridge, coffee pot, or microwave. But they charge a resort fee for wifi, ph service and gym of $40+ a night.

Did not stay there but we went to the knights tournament and IT WAS JUST AWESOME would go back

First I should probably tell you I'm not a Vegas fan so maybe you should just pass up this whole review.. rooms were decently clean but the entire hotel smelled like a combination of weed, cigarettes and tacky women's perfume. If we're being real though that's what the entire strip smells like so I guess it isn't a shock. Had to pay for parking, also had to pay a "resort fee" which let's be honest this isn't a resort (pool wasn't even useable during our stay). The entire building was confusing to navigate with two "towers" of rooms. The walk to our room was ridiculously long and unpleasant. There were two Starbucks locations and basically a shopping mall inside of the building so that was convenient. I honestly just wasn't impressed. Save your money and stay somewhere slightly farther from the strip with free parking.

What’s with the crazy loud noises on level two??? We checked in here the other night, after a long drive from LA, they put us in a room on the second floor and there was this crazy loud humming sound like consuming it. Sort of like a bathroom fan but extremely loud and through the whole room. Also the tv kept turning off by itself. So we asked to change rooms and no joke they put us in a room down the hall that had an even worse sound! It was literally causing the whole room to vibrate! I checked my reservation and saw I had actually booked the royal tower anyways so we shouldn’t have even been on floor two. The front desk did move us a third time to the royal tower where it was quiet at last! Such a strange time! lol! Other than that whole mix up the hotel was fine, it does smell pretty bad in some spots and the rooms didn’t have microwaves or refrigerators or bath tubs so idk if it was really worth the crazy resort fee and expensive parking.

I'm giving this hotel a 3/5 stars but I honestly can't complain much because the vibe here for the most part has been great. Some of the staff could be a lot nicer, (had some unprovoked iffy encounters with passive aggresive staff), but overall averagely pleasant, with some staff being exceptionally nice. The night life is fun and overall I've had a great experience.

The biggest issue I have is the rooms. Not updated since probably the 80s. The room I was in, there was hair on the counter in the bathroom indicating it wasn't cleaned well. No fridge, no microwave (unless they're hiding in this cabinet I can't open), no shower mat, (I'm not sure if I didn't get a shower mat in my hotel room or if they don't provide them), small, older TV's with very little channel options, older fixtures that have gathered a lot of dust. No paper that has a full list of the hotel amenities, and old toilets that have issues flushing because the flush flap in the tank is worn down. And possible mold in bathrooms (to be expected in older hotels when not taken care of as well) It's very much like a motel. Granted it was 21 dollars for a night, so that's a bargain but I'm just not sure why they haven't updated it yet, given that it's a very popular hotel on the strip. And they could charge a lot more if they did. Also the beds were actually pretty great and the full length mirror in here is really nice.

Also there's no laundry in the hotel at all. It would be nice if they took 10ish hotel rooms on different floors of their choosing in each tower and converted them into laundry mats. There's laundry you can send out through a 3rd party, but I don't want my laundry going out and can't always do that in a time crunch either. Had to go to a laundry mat 2 miles away.

The casino part is nice and good vibes and they do have some nice restaurants and it's right next to everything within walking distance so that's wonderful! And it's a beautiful building inside overall.

Overall a great experience because of the vibes, but mostly average or below average overall with staff and rooms. Also I haven't had a room at any other hotel on the strip yet so I'm not sure how it compares.

Bar tender was rude. Tables had min 15.00 per black jack hand. And that was the cheapest.

The entire motel is dated. I've been in better but I have definitely been in much worse.
It's a fun them.
The rooms were clean.

First time being here and it's great!

All the employees from bell desk, registration, security, slot attendees, housekeeping, everyone was such a delight to speak to. I stayed here January 17th-21st, then again January 22nd-February 1st 2024. Definitely love the employees, they all need a raise, outstanding work ethic
