The hotel site is magnificent and it is possible to do freediving but the boats pass by so it is stressful. There is a lot of noise at the pool and often very late, the hotel is not clean the food is really terrible!!!!! No air at the buffet, we literally cook on site, few places on the outdoor terrace..

The employees look lost and we seem stupid.. probably because of the endless complaints.. avoid this place at all costs!

As many others mentioned, we didn’t stay in the hotel. We visited for the day as an excursion on our latest cruise in March. This was the highlight of our whole trip! The beach location was absolutely dreamy!

My son and I chose to do a guided snorkel and all supplies were provided. There was an abundance of fish and coral to see. The water was perfectly clear/turquoise. Other than the snorkeling, we had a good time just sitting/swimming in the water while my husband napped on a lounger in the shade of the palm trees. They also had kayaks and plenty of loungers and shaded areas. We even saw a monkey.

It was all inclusive, and the pina coladas were so tasty. The buffet style lunch was good and there were plenty of choices for everyone. The banana cake was awesome.

Our guide and driver that got us from the port to the island and back were very nice and informative. I would absolutely recommend this as an excursion/day trip and would visit again myself.

A very pleasant place!

The beach itself is beautiful, a nice view and it's clean. But the hotel is just not good. Expect the cheap of the cheapest food ever. They use left over food for the next DAYS until there's no more of it left. Deserts are always horrible, the bread is so dry.

Drinks are not good, they all taste the same, they put the minimum effort in preparing them and barely put any alcohol on them, they're mainly juice.

The bedrooms are dirty, the bathroom in my room was broken, leaking water and it stinks. They sent someone to fix it temporarily but the bad odor was still there.

Customer service is bad as well.

For the price they charge for this place, it's not worth it at all. I don't recommend it at all. Never going back.

One of the best resorts in Roatan! All in one place! I love it and I want to return.

Me and my husband had a shock.I never ever saw place terrible lake this. Too old and out dated, odor is to strong. Room is look lake basement.. smell from everything like towel, bathroom and ets
Smell lake rusty iron..shower never working, strings go 360 degrees.
I never saw buffet and bar like this. No any choice of food & drink. During blackout they didn’t even provide light. Everyone have to using cellphones for light. No any activity.nothing to do for entertainment.my swimming suit despaired by unknown means.but this place not to cheap.highly recommend
Never going to this resort

The room is ok, the bed was hard and the water pressure not great but we did not care about this, the staff all speak spanish, the réception speak english also and they are all super nice, Patrick make us laught so hard many time, the resort is almost empty during the week so Book your excursion early and on the week-end, the snorkling and diving are 10/10 this is the best spot on the island for sure we saw everything you can expect to see in this part of the world and it took us 5min of swiming to get to any spot, finnaly the beach is amazing 10/10 also the sand is soft no rock and they clean the beach everyday, you can also see monkey and peacock and à rooster will wake you up, one of the best trip i made i am so relax and replenish

Three spectacular beaches for swimming and snorkeling

The place has a high potential to be best hotel however requires urgently investment to be renovated. Tourism consideration standards are very low.

My family and I recently stayed at Fantasy Island, and while the island itself is stunning with beautiful beaches and great snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities, our experience at the resort was disappointing.

The customer service was lacking, not meeting the standard we expected. The water was consistently cold, and we never had a hot shower during our stay. There were no phones in the rooms to contact the lobby, and the internet signal was weak and only available in the lobby.

The food was average, and we were surprised by the lack of sanitation measures. Instead of bottled water, there was a pitcher in the fridge for drinking water. We didn't feel comfortable leaving money or our passports in the room, although there was a safe available.

The TV in most rooms was small, around 14 inches, but the beds were comfortable and spacious. Despite these issues, the island's natural beauty and the abundance of fish and coral reefs made our snorkeling experience memorable.

Overall, while we loved the island itself, we were disappointed by the resort and would not choose to stay there again.

Nice place but it needs to be remodeled since the structures are deteriorated and need maintenance

The place needs a total renovation in its structure, furniture, and image.

Bad service, the food is not good and the room we had to ask to be cleaned

It was my dream to visit Roatan, the beach did not disappoint me, it is beautiful... but the hotel service was very bad, the people at the reception were very bad. We arrived just for Easter, it was full of locals, they did not have enough towels, they served at the buffet. Very good, the girls are very friendly but there were cockroaches walking where the dessert was, in the bathroom there was no cold water, only hot water, I went down to ask them to please check the bathroom, they never arrived.. the pools were always full of local people and very dirty. the water.. the bartenders were very nice and friendly. Even so, it was a pleasure to get to know Honduras, its people were very humble and kind....and also Roatan is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever known and what we enjoyed most was the sea, which luckily The last few days we had the beach just for us

Very nice experience...nothing more rewarding than going out with your family

Did not stay at the hotel-was a guest of their beautiful, clean private beach. Pleasant facilities. Brand new kayaks. Would definitely go again.

All inclusive for a week.very good value at $2200 US a couple.direct flight from Toronto. transfers ,beers in cans, beach is as nice as anything I've been to in Belize, Mexico, Nicaragua,Costa Rica... better than West bay..

The honest review, bottom line up front...its worth what we paid, nothing more. If you are looking for a fantastic beach, snorkeling or scuba diving, this place is where you need to be. If you also want clean, functional rooms, friendly, helpful staff, well maintained equipment and facilities, or hot food, ( not including the omlettes), then look elsewhere. Hint: bring your own beach towels, and bug spray, for your legs in the lobby. Keep your service/cleanliness expectations at home.

Beautiful place to share with the family and spend an incredible vacation.

Wonderful spots for freediving and kayaking, for sunbathing on the beach and swimming, but the hotel is really shabby, rooms with mold and/or cockroaches, cleaning is not done, lack of towels, toilet paper and there is no service by the employees who are so stupid. The resort is dirty in the morning (glasses, cans of beer, etc.) both in the hotel and on the beach. The buffet is more than limited and of very poor quality. We had 2 good dinners over a week (lasagna and chicken tacos). There is no bottled water in the room. $2 each at the bar, $1 at the convenience store open whenever they want and free at the small bar on the beach (make reservations!). Bring tourist medication + gravol + immodium because everyone on our return flight had been sick during their stay in Roatán (all hotels combined).
