Our Opnion

The Flamingo Cancun is a small yet wonderful resort to visit in Cancun. The staff in particular, is amazing. The front team ensures a quick and easy check-in, and the remainder of the staff really makes an effort to ensure that you're getting the most out of your stay. The beach here is great. It's a good size and the water here is calm enough to swim in. The food here varies depending on where you're eating. The snack bar is a good place to grab some munchies, the buffet, however, was limited in choices and variety. The a la carte restaurants are worth giving a try, as it offers quality food compared to others. This is place is located in a prime spot close to the hub of city life in Cancun. Definitely a great spot for those wanting to be in the heart of the action.

They charge you something from the environment, they treat you as if they were doing you a favor! And the restaurant food was very bad.

I do not recommend this place, I suggest that you ask carefully and all because they make charges that are not valid and they steal from you at the end of the stay and they tell you that you will not leave unless you pay the amounts that they tell you when they are very high, to They didn't charge us for a rug that we never used because it was stained (when a rug is meant to be walked on) but we never used it and for the slightest reason that it was dirty something, they charge you for it but they tell you last.
The reception staff never mentions anything about extra charges, only room cards.
The food has no flavor, it is a very very limited buffet and it is not good.
The internet is also very bad, it is an internet for everyone and it doesn't work, you have to have your data

It is well taken care of but at the end of your stay they will charge you more for things that they do not tell you at the beginning, be careful with dirtying the blankets or towels since for even the slightest stain they will charge you for them.

The location is good but the service is very bad, the waiters sometimes ignore you and are rude, at reception they serve you poorly, the food is not very good, I do not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very familiar and quiet, its facilities are very clean and very well maintained, the beach is BEAUTIFUL. The internet service is terrible, the attention of the staff is excellent. There is no water or ice on the floors (although they tell you there is) you had to go up to the VIP floors. Would I return? Of course, do I recommend it? Of course.

SCAM! Unfortunately, there were several inconveniences with this accommodation, including receiving multiple dubious phishing links prompting me to update my credit card information. Despite inquiring twice and consulting with the hotel, my reservation was initially confirmed. On the day of my arrival, I found out on-site that my booking had been cancelled. Despite several attempts to resolve the situation, it remained unresolved, and I was forced to find an alternative at short notice. During the peak season of Spring Break, this proved extremely challenging, resulting in significant additional costs for me. Never again!!

Strong Warning: Avoid Hotel Flamingo, Cancun**

As foreigners fulfilling a dream to visit Cancun, our anticipation for an unforgettable experience turned into profound disappointment during our stay at Hotel Flamingo. Recommended by our travel agent with assurances of beauty and impeccable service, the reality was shockingly different.

Upon arrival, our hopes were shattered by deceptive practices and appalling service. Despite promises of complimentary amenities, we were coerced into enduring a 90-minute tour membership presentation before being allowed to partake in a meager breakfast, far from the celebratory meal we anticipated on Easter Sunday at Albatros Restaurant. The blatant disregard for our time, hunger, and satisfaction as guests left us feeling deceived and disheartened.

Adding insult to injury, Jose, who claimed to be the boss, displayed rude and disrespectful behavior towards our group, particularly towards the women, only compounded our frustration. Our attempts to address these issues were met with dismissiveness, leaving us with a bitter taste and a deep-seated disappointment.

We unequivocally advise against recommending Hotel Flamingo to any travelers, especially foreigners. Our experience serves as a cautionary tale, highlighting the hotel's lack of integrity and disregard for guest satisfaction.

We intend to report this egregious experience to the tourism department of Cancun, as no guest should have to endure such treatment, especially after paying direct taxes to the government during our stay.

Hotel Flamingo must address these issues immediately to prevent further disappointment and ensure that future guests are spared from similar distress.

Excellent hotel for the price, worth what they charge, the staff is very friendly, all the facilities, rooms only fail in the food.

I give it 5 stars because the hotel has everything you need, but something I don't like is that the buffet doesn't have much variety but other than that everything is fine.

In love with Hotel Flamingo!
Unfortunately, I broke my ankle on my way there, exactly on the trip of my dreams! With crutches and robofoot boots, but I was very well received.
All the staff are very polite! From the receptionist, maids, waiters and the entire hotel team.
I loved the hotel and I'm going back to enjoy it without having a broken ankle ❤️🙏
The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and pleasant ❤️❤️
They are always concerned about cleanliness, good customer service and everything else!
A SPECIAL thanks to the maid Carmen Villa Lobos for arriving with contagious joy to clean the room ❤️🙏

Cancelled my reservation less than 3 hours before check-in due to a purported credit card issue where they couldn't charge it (even though they supposedly charge when I booked the room a few weeks before), but they were still able to charge me for cancellation. The same happened to several other guests that we talked to while we were getting our issue resolved. The whole experience was very shady and the staff did nothing to assist the situation they caused other than a refund after much resistance. If you need to book a room here, DO NOT book through their website.

Fair price for your services. As for food, little variety for foreign tourists, only Mexican food, spicy, undercooked vegetables and meat with strange seasonings. They should offer another variety of dishes. There are never cups for breakfast and even less spoons for coffee or dessert. The semi raw pizzas. Juices with lots of water and ice. 1 ⭐ for your restaurants.

The standard rooms were terrible...cringy and dirty. I also saw what appears to be a staff trying to clean a bed that was infested with bedbugs. Find a better hotel. The only good thing about the place was the location. I would never go back to this hotel.

Terrible service, I paid for 3 nights and the first night...I DID NOT HAVE A ROOM! They wanted to send me to another hotel and they did not refund my money. The food in both restaurants was very bad and most of the staff were very unprepared and even rude at times. For everything they have "extra charges", the cleanliness leaves something to be desired, the hotel looks old.
The only positive thing is the beach.

The pools and the sea view are nice 🌊

Excellent place, I loved it but some rude waiters and about the menu there is no variety but still everything is very delicious 😋 and the best is the mariachi although less than half an hour but I enjoyed it.

Look for another option, the service is terrible when you go to dinner you have to wait 20 minutes and no one comes around to offer you a drink, the facilities are terrible, there is no water to be able to take to the bathroom, we would never return I hope this helps someone to choose another option

A great place to stay, I certainly hope to return soon.

Excellent location of the hotel. Very comfortable room and delicious food.
Very friendly staff, special mention for Armando, Staphanie and Felipe.
