They have photography services here. I requested a photographer for a beach proposal. Maddie was my photographer and she worked with me for weeks prior to my trip to help me make sure everything was perfect. She even sent me walkthrough videos of the resort and path down to the beach so I would know where I was going. She remained hidden so that it was a completely private moment. She went above and beyond in every way. I cannot say enough great things about her. If you're looking for a wonderful photographer for a special event, ask for Maddie. I also booked the Share the Stars private dinner for two on the beach. It was extraordinarily romantic. If you're looking to completely wow your significant other, you can't go wrong. Our private concierge was a really cool guy and he made us feel like royalty. I cannot remember how to spell his name but it was uniquely Hawaii'an. This was the most memorable evening of my life. Beautiful resort, beautiful employees, beautiful views.

Lovely hotel. We usually stop by for Stevensons for a drink, and for lunch after a hike. It has been fantastic. It was not this time. The keiki “house made mac and cheese” was Kraft with some shredded cheese mixed in. The hummus plate was a phoned in version of its ancestors.

First time staying at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai, Hawaii. This hotel is absolutely amazing! All of the staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone from check-in, to the restaurants, to room service, cleaning, and everybody that was constantly taking care of the grounds took great pride in making sure the facility is absolutely top-notch! I thought our room was very appropriate, super clean, with a beautiful view, overlooking the ocean. All of the restaurants had amazing food, my favorite was the library which is a sushi restaurant. Sushi was very fresh, a very nice offering, and an extensive wine list. Overall this was just an absolutely amazing vacation as they provide an outstanding experience from start to finish! I was here with friends and business colleagues, but hoping I can come back in the very near future with my family. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for the best hotel in Kauai, Hawaii!

If you are looking for a place truly to unplug and relax, this is your resort. Tidepool dinner with koi fishes around was pretty romantic. They have a good vegetarian options if you are looking for amazing food with a view. Highly recommend this restaurant. Steven’s library for sushi lover is a must to have!

P.S. for those who enjoys longer time on their thrown, Grand Hyatt won’t disappoint you with their warm seat bidet! 😉

It's beautiful, pricey and feels a lot like staying at a water park.

Beautiful resort! We enjoyed a relaxing stay among beautiful scenery and super nice staff. Spa was phenomenal, throw net fishing was cool! One thing to mention, make sure you secure travel to and from the resort as Ubers and taxis don’t run frequently, but that’s no fault of the hotel, just a word to the wise.

Pictures didn’t do this place justice. Amazing property that is well taken care of, great amenities and service. We booked a basic room, but it was still spacious and there are no bad views on site.

The carpet seemed like it could use replacement but everything felt clean.

The combo pool/lagoon/beach was the main attraction, with lots of different vantage points and twist and turns. We spent a lot of time here. I’d say the price we paid was worth it if you plan on spending a lot of time relaxing on site and at the pool. There was even a monk seal resting on the beach just about every day, and also a pretty active tide pool.

One bad thing I could say is that it is quite easy for locals or non guests to come in property and use the pool without having a proper pool pass, from the neighboring parking lot for shipwreck beach. A local we talked to pretty much confirmed this is a common occurrence. We would not have minded if it was required for all guests to wear their wrist bands at all times at the pool. However, it never seemed too crowded at the time of our stay, but I could see how it might be a problem at other peak times.

Large resort. Lots of people. Very pretty

Great breakfast buffet.

Excellent and terrific place. Great staff, stores, facilities etc

One of my favorite resorts anywhere. Don’t miss the hike that starts at Shipwreck Beach and bring lots of water. Friendly staff, gorgeous property!

Great rooms! Bathroom is very nice, beds are confortable, good wifi and AC. We did feel some dust on the carpet. Bedroom view was the parking lot, however it was very far and didn't affect our privacy.
Breakfast is very tasty, waiters are friendly and helpful. Bars have a lot of options and they can make a good drink.
The beach in front of the hotel is not the best to go into the water as there are many rocks and strong current. However the hotel has a pool with salt water and sand inside their location and there is another beach, Popiu (in walking distance) that is much better for going into the water. You will see fishes and it is very likely you will find turtles there as well.
The only experience at the hotel I would not recommend is the Luau. The show is very nice and the food and drinks are fine but it takes place at the hotel and not at the beach. During the luau it kept raining (light rain) and stopping so our food kept getting wet and we were cold because of the winds. It also ended around 7h30 PM but the information said it would end around 9PM (not sure if due to the weather). All in all it was not worth the 200 USD per person.

We stayed here for our 1 year wedding anniversary. I really can’t say enough about how great this resort is. We have stayed here twice now and both times were absolutely amazing. We were given a bottle of champagne at check in for our anniversary. Shoutout to Malaika at the front desk who was very nice and knowledgeable during check in.
Our room was ready early and on entering there was a beautiful display of swans with orchids on the bed. There were also orchids all over the room. Thank you to Rose A who prepared our room for us. One of our favorite parts of the resort is the expansive pool area right near the beach. Wanted to thank Ellen at the pool for taking care of us our first day there. During our visit, Tidepools didn’t have any reservations available so we decided to hit the lounge for some drinks and apps. Scott and Travis at the lounge bar were so good to us and fun to hang out with. We ended up going to the lounge multiple times the rest of the trip. Lastly, we wanted to thank Celeste/Kristine for making our anniversary memorable. We received 2 gifts during the stay. One for being globalists and another gift on our actual anniversary day. We will definitely be back again to celebrate in the future!!

The Grand Hyatt Kaui is a fabulous place to spend vacation time!
Everyone is so kind and helpful.
Jacie in the pool area is so sweet and very helpful. Having a local to talk with to get island information is great and Jacie shares great info.
Justyne a server in the pool area was so friendly and caring. Her service was excellent.
Jagger is a great employee and the Hyatt is very lucky to have him.
We always enjoy when Robin is in the lobby working on the feather head banks etc. She truly loves the Hawaiian culture. Being local she shares places of interest etc.
The free shuttle rides are wonderful when riding with Geoffrey. He is informative and loves sharing the Hawaiian culture with us.
David Parsons III who sings Tuesday nights is an amazing artist.
The staff was all very nice and wanted to be sure we were well taken care of.
Thank you all for a great experience.

The resort is very large and has everything including a swimming pool, private beach, and jacuzzi.

So beautiful!

This place is unreal. My wife and I came here for our honeymoon. Well located to go to Waimea Canyon to the west or Hanalei / Wailua to the north. The Maha'ulepa Heritage Trail is right off the back of the property, too. We spotted several whales from the benches overlooking the ocean. Big terraced pools overlooking the ocean. Nice restaurants directly on the property and full room-service meal options. Would love to come back.

Great dinner with live music and fair prices

The location of this resort is very good. It has excellent food options around the resort, it is close to some shopping areas, and it has an amazing view of the ocean.

The hotel has access to the beach and an amazing series of pools and great amount of seats around the pool area. Staff are very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are amazingly comfy too.

I came here on a conference package so rooms were much cheaper. I don't think I would spend that much money at the regular price rooms but if you have the money to spend this would be an amazing place to spend a few days and enjoy a relaxing time in Hawaii.
