"I wanted to up date you on our experience at your resort
1. You need to hire a decent chef ; The food was never hot, it is always the same, the deserts are bland, and I have spoken to people who went after I did and we all had food poisoning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The other person ended up going to the hospital and the Physician informed them that they were the third person he treated that day from the grand Paradise ............ooops did I say that out loud!!!!!!!!!!!
2. The hot water is available to shower only at certain times throughout the day
3. Peddlers are always after us to buy something. If we say no they still stop in front of us and some get mad at us
4. At times we were not given towels to shower with
5. The fridge was not always stocked with pop or water
I will not reccomend this place to family friends employees or business associates

"Just returned this morning so I thought I would write this while it was fresh in my mind.
We started out in one of the attic rooms although we asked for a Garden View. These rooms are large but with the windows being 6 feet high they don't make for a good view for those of us that are closer to 5 feet. Were moved the following day with no problem.
The food is great. A great variety but noticed that there was a bigger variety on the weekend when the locals arrived. My biggest complaint would be that the locals seemed to get preferential treatment over those of us that were there for a week or longer. We played the games all week with no prizes but the when the locals arrived they got rum and other prizes and were only there for the weekend. They basically take the place over.
Our room was broken into, we lost a lot of cash a new i-phone and camera. Our door did not have trim and they jimmied it open. The next day the hotel staff was very busy putting trim back on all the doors. A little late for us. Although the hotel had security and called the local police nothing could be done to help us. Our Nolitour Rep was not in anyway helpful. They have a 24 hour emergency number that they do not answer and our Rep Carole told us that she was going to get rid of it. She said she had no intention of coming in the middle of the night to help. We felt that her help with being able to translate for us would have been beneficial. When asked about going to the police station we were told that she would take us, when we finally talked to her she totally ignored that. She was more concerned that we left her precious binder at the front desk because we couldn't see in her office area at night while we were looking for a number to call.
Regarding the break in. The people were spotted and one was described by a fellow tourist as being a blonde female. There are no blonde employees at the resort so we did not feel that it was an inside job. We were given another new room in the middle of the night so we got to check out a few. All were very clean so no complaints there.
The entertainment staff were very upbeat and did what they could with what seemed to be limited resources.
I have stayed at more expensive resorts and you can tell the difference but there is nothing to stop anyone from going to the Grand Paradise and having a great time.
Remember to get a better deal to book your excursions on the beach. Danny looked after us and even managed to get part of our deposit back when we couldn't go on one because of the break in.
The biggest annoyance of the whole trip was Nolitours a tour group that I will not personally ever use again.
To the staff at the Grand Paradise thank you for a great week." [...]

"The Grand Paradise offers the best in an all inclusive resort. The beaches are beautiful and clean on both sides of the point that wraps around this hotel. There are many activities both on the beach and by the pool each day and evening. The evening live entertainment is exceptional with groups playing a variety of music (current and older) and great for dancing.
The food in the 2 buffet restaurants provided an amazing variety of foods, from meat dishes, pastas, burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, pastry, fruit, etc. The best part of dining in any of these 2 restaurants is having a spectacular view by the ocean. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly and provide great service. Everyone from the reception desk staff, the bartenders, servers, housekeeping and animation staff are very kind and friendly and work very hard to ensure guests are happy.
Having stayed at this resort previously, we found that after the renos, the hotel has improved in quality 100% and will definitely return to this resort next year." [...]

"The resort is in the middle of the complex of other resorts - so you can walk miles each way. You can be 'in the wind' or sheltered as you prefer. So....excellent beach stuff. I saw one guy out 'surfing' around supper time in HUGE waves. I presume he came back alive. I was impressed that there was live entertainment each night - not just lip synced shows - there was that too but hearing a local band was interesting. security was perfect. The dining room is a bit of a story - this week anyway. There was something strange going on. There were a lot of 'higher ups' with clipboards and the wait staff (understaffed) seems generally not very happy. I saw very very few tips being given. You can only get wine with your meal, and it was not a serve yourself deal and it was not always easy to get served. Fruit juice was 'serve yourself' at breakfast but disappeared at lunch so it became hard to get a glass of orange juice!!! It was not always easy to find a soup spoon. The breakfast and noon was the same every day. There was barbecued chicken every lunch - there was ALWAYS chicken everywhere including for breakfast! If you wanted coffee you could always serve yourself and that was the only sure way of getting it. Generally the food was good and a variety but the same every day. The 'a la carte' was little more than the buffet with service. (eg I ordered spaghetti and I got the same sauce as I would have in the buffet - very tomato-ey - no meat. All in all the wait staff - friendly on occasion - seemed to be mad about something or unhappy!!! Perhaps they were breaking in new staff - they were very specialized. One to deliver glasses. One to clean tables (slowly) One to bring coffee (eventually) Someone has pointed out, they may be 'whipping the staff into shape' to sell the place. I dunno! OK enough! Internet access was good - 3 computers 24 hours a day - although some teenagers were playing computer games and it tied them up - that and 'Facebook' Mind you it rained for 3 days straight so it was better than nothing for the teenagers. At 10 am each morning there is an hour long organized bike trip around the complex - very interesting.
I encountered (for the first time) staff trying to sell me membership in the 'vacation club' perhaps a time share or modified time share or something. We even met a couple who had purchased a membership and they were certainly getting a kick back for interesting me in the resort - so I never knew for sure if they were friends or contacts. The flights coming into PP fly bank right over the resort - quite interesting to watch. Flights fly out in the distance. Lovely mountain behind the resort. The sun sets over the mountain and 'frames ' the mountain in sunlight - just gorgeous (ie when not raining) The 'entertainment team' was very hard working, friendly and competant. (apparently in a different world than the wait staff) They were important on the rainy days. We had to use the medical facility and it was wonderful - and run by an American lady who spoke English! In one bar you could watch hockey at night on satellite. There was a live band each night in a bar - off-resort but in-complex. It started around 10, thus I never saw it. Went to the 'American' casino - it was normal - I lost my $10 quickly. Oh one more thing. The hot water situation. I never used the cold tap. At 8 am I had to let the hot run for 15 minutes to get it hot enough. I hated to do it but...... No hot water at 5pm. Never had a bath - not hot enough. Some people had problems this way - others didn't. Overall I enjoyed the place for it's sheer beauty! -th" [...]
