Our first stay in Georgetown and Hideaways was the perfect spot! We really liked the food at Splash and our studio room was great! I highly recommend it to anyone who likes beach and a laid-back atmosphere. If we could get a sidewalk built going into town that would be a plus! ;)

Amazing spot! We loved the beaches, views and staff!

Great stay! Beach is small but plenty of other options close by. Highly recommend!

We stayed for 9 nights in Feb and it was great! Love the location and the fact that you can walk the resort beach with Jolly Hall Beach being right next door. Close to Georgetown which was nice. Splash is great and one of the few places that's open 7 days a week.

This is our second stay at Hideaways. Loved every minute of it. The staff is amazing, friendly and so accommodating. The food at Splash is wonderful. I would suggest getting the breakfast plan. Although a 15 percent gratuity is added to your bill, this is shared with everyone. I would suggest leaving at least another 5 percent.

Very nice facility right on the beach. Totally nice service.

The hideaways is incredible. Not a high end club but feels like it, with a pool, by the gorgeous beach with incredible views on nature (stocking island) and sailboats and catamarans. I felt so welcome every day and even when I needed something like more coffee or a towel they granted me with their best smile and jokes. I had such a great time thank you all you were wonderful and you made my one week memorable !!!!

This is located in the center of most attractions. Not far from the airport and very close to Georgetown center. The staff is helpful and friendly. This year will be my 3rd stay at this location. They also offer free shuttle to downtown Georgetown.

Such an amazing location and brilliant staff and owners.

Pros
1) location location location. Beach and restaurant and pool all located close together. Unlike others i enjoyed being on the hill.

2) My 2 bedroom Villla was huge and ended up being the gathering spot for our group at night.

3) Front desk staff were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Maintenance were the same. We had a light out and by the time i reporter it and walked back he was already there.

4) The Splash restaurant serves very good food at least what I tried but the servers could try and smile and be a bit more Pleasant. This is why the service was a 4 not a 5.

5) The Beach was maybe one of the best I’ve ever been on. A short walk from the main beach to Jolly beach is well worth it every day.

Cons

1) The drink prices are very high. I paid $34 US for a strawberry daiquiri and a Rum punch.

2)Service at the restaurant was very slow. Took me an hour to get mozza sticks at 2pm. But hey that’s Bahamian time right.

3) You need to rent a car because Taxi service is very unreliable after 6pm. Twice we had an agreement with drivers to pick us up but they would never answer their phones when you called back. Car rental again very costly for a week ($700) and the car you get could have 200,000 km on it.

Suggestions

Start and all inclusive package (food and drinks)

Start a shuttle to and from the air port. It’s very stressful not know if your cab will show up at 6Am.

Things you have to do.

Chat and Chill
Swim with the pigs
Iguana island
Starfish beach
Tropic of Cancer beach
Swim with the turtle
Pet the sharks

All in all it was the best 11 day vacation I’ve ever had.

Wonderful hospitality!! Grounds man was great. Ralph was great.
Thanks Ron for a wonderful 1st visit. Too many for hubby I need to catch up.
The Hartman's friend of Ron Fraser

Open later with pool tables :) Really good pizza, stuffed burgers, crack chicken and conch 😍

Such a beautiful quaint place. But the staff are its greatest asset. If available, spend the money on being on the water side of the resort. The convenience is worth it.Food at the Splash bar/restaurant we thought was good.

Great place to stay! Decent parking and the water views are amazing. Amenities are wonderful. And the staff are wonderful and helpful. The rooms are cozy and sweet. Ac works fabulous!

Only used Splash restaurant here it was VERY GOOD.

It was a delight to stay at Hideaways. The staff was very friendly, and the cabin was amazing -- ours had two bathrooms and a small kitchen. We were right on the water.

Having arrived on a Sunday, the local grocery store was already closed, and the Hideaways restaurant -- "Splash" -- was undergoing renovations and not open. For a little while we were wondering what we were going to eat!

But we ended up venturing down to The Fish Fry, about a half mile away, and enjoyed an amazing seafood dinner at Shirleys.

Hideaways has some decent kayaks, which we took advantage of, and if you like snorkeling, there's a small island just off shore teeming with coral and marine life. We also liked that we were close to George Town, just a couple of miles, from where we enjoyed renting a boat from Minn's Watersports. The ongoing construction at the restaurant was a little noisy, but we understand it had to get done!

Again, very friendly staff at Hideaways, especially the ladies at the front desk. Thank you!

Beautiful location.
The staff was very helpful.
The place itself is horrible.
This is not a resort.
It's a collection of worn out buildings with worn out furnishings.
Any pictures of nice new anything is either from 30 years ago or someplace else.
The restaurant and tiki bar were closed for renovations and there was no relaxing by the pool or on the beach with all the construction noise.
Our room was not on the water side of the road, had to go across to get to the beach.
No place nearby for dinner Sunday through Thursday except one little local hangout that had one menu item each night. And we made the locals uncomfortable so we didn't stay long.
The place doesn't even have vending machines, so if you didn't get some groceries before you arrived you go hungry and drink the tap water.
The furniture is not comfortable, the bed is like sleeping on the ground. The porch furniture is 20 year old plastic.
The two TV's in the room have blown speakers. The AC in the bedroom makes noise and has to be shut off to sleep.
They have a shuttle to take you into town 4 times a day. It's last run is 5:00 PM. After that you need to get a cab.
And the car they have for the shuttle is a little like a clown car. Tiny and worn out.
The staff leaves at 6:00 PM so if you need anything good luck with that.
Tried to get some plastic cups for drinks by the pool and had to go to town for them.
They didn't have any at the desk or in the room.
I don't know what they charge the resort fees for as there are no amenities really.
They do have a little workout room and the pool and a game room with a little portable ping pong table and a pool table that needs leveling and new pockets.

Stopped at Splash for lunch and cocktails. Food was decent. They were getting ready to. Lose down for the next month so selling thru what they had. Quite a few things on menu not available.

The women at the front were awesome and very patient with us (22) and (20)! If we had any questions or concerns we called and they answered! Our room 315 had everything we needed, a cozy bed, dining area, tv, showering, etc. We really enjoyed our space and stay! The Jolly Beach is 5-7 mins walking for a nice beach to swim at. The beach across from our stay is nice as well, we did more of our kayaking and shell picking there. And Hoopers Bay for the Sea Turtles is 5 mins driving or 37 mins walking, which time flies. The karaoke and bars are walking distance (5-7 mins), which locals are very friendly! If you’re looking for an escape from the noisy/busy world, Exuma will be good to you! We will be back! Thank you to all our new friends! - Cindy & Ale (Tx)
