This would have been an amazing location if literally EVERY PERSON that worked there hadn't tried to sell us a timeshare. The views are great and it's convenient to the beach for sure, but some of the buildings are VERY dated and in need of repairs. And I'm willing to write off some stuff as "charming" except that HOLY WOW did these people want us to buy a timeshare. I'm honestly shocked that no one has popped up as I'm writing this review to try and sell me one. Because never mind the guest experience BUY OUR STUFF! Very off-putting. We won't stay here again. Yuck.

Walking distance to family-friendly and kid friendly activities, plus close to restaurants with children's menus and many swimming pools - some with water slides. All restaurants were very accommodating for food allergies. Near shops with toys and matching clothing outfits for all ages. Fireworks on Friday evening, plus a luau with entertainment and a buffet dinner. There were no fans in the hotel rooms, not even in the bathrooms, but the air conditioning worked well. That's why I gave the hotel 4 stars.

Friday's fireworks are the best 🎆They last for 5 minutes but they go off without stopping.
It was beautiful!
I'll go see it again before I go home

Great location with all the amenities. Parking can be difficult.

The worst beds, decor from 1990. Location very nice, service very good except watching housekeeper going through another rooms drawers hmmm. Kinda like staying at Ramada for 400 + a night. Lost reservation ended up with double instead of king blamed on Costco. Should have made it right.

It's a nice place with kids. Our kids love the pools. Walking distance to just about any restaurant and Mall. Pay to park is really expensive around $70. Super clean rooms. Great atmosphere!

Decent but starting to show it's age

It was on a high floor, so the view was great, and it's recommended for relaxing and relaxing.

Large rooms vary spacious. staff is very friendly and accommodating, but there's no microwaves in the room. Right on the beach and within walking distance of downtown.

Awesome customer service and beautiful sunset 🌅

I'm not the type of person to leave a review but I was very disappointed in this hotel. Our check in was a struggle... waited an hour for a text to let us know our room was ready which we never received. After an hour of waiting the front desk let us know the individual who had helped us never finished the process and our room was already ready. Not to mention our struggle getting a room with a King bed and a pull out couch (which was the room we had booked online)... they let us know it is not guaranteed upon booking. Makes no sense to me if we booked it ahead of time.

The room itself was outdated and the beds were very uncomfortable. The room was not cleaned very well either. However, the view of the ocean from the room was great.

I do not recommend the restaurants' at the resort... you're better off getting food from a local spot across the street. The biggest disappointment was how early the pools and bathrooms around the resort closed. The security was kicking people out of the pools around 8:30/9:00 pm and the adult pool closed at 6pm. Finding an open bathroom around the resort after 8pm was a struggle as well. Not to mention, none of the pools were heated... the ocean was warmer.

Overall, we will not be staying here again.

Great village!!!!

Rooms will largely vary depending on your tower, so keep that in mind, but Tapa tower was great, clean, thick walls and wonderful views. Plus great access to everything. Overall for a large resort while the layout here is rather confusing, everything is pretty close by regardless of the tower unlike their Waikoloa on Kona which every tower is 10 minutes apart. The only downside to this is that this resort feels very crowded and loud when outside the room, for some that maybe a feature for me not so much. Beach is great and large and walking distance to the famous Waikiki beach as well. Great shopping as well

Without the location this property would go out of business. We enjoyed the beach and our ocean front room very much. However, the food and service just sucked! We had many issues from getting our room cleaned to pool side service at our exclusive pool. Very disappointed in the hotel. But it did not ruin our trip to Hawaii! What a beautiful place with so much to see and enjoy.

Just came to use the beach area for the day rented a chair it was $25 for the day

This place was so bad that we tried to end our babymoon early. I was visiting at 31 weeks pregnant for reference.

Our room was dirty, and poorly maintained (dents & scuffs all over the walls). The bathtub was rusted around the drain, moldy around the handles, & disgusting green buildup on the shower head.

Also we were not made aware there was a huge convention being held during our stay. This made check-in an absolute mess - it took close to an hour (even thought we were toward the front of the line), and there were huge groups of loud, rowdy people all over the resort & resort restaurants.

Surprise fee of $75 to check in early. High resort fees. Cold pools made it not possible to swim. Beds left my husband with back pain & pillows are paper-thin.

Our couples massages at the hotel spa were pretty bad, especially considering what we paid.

Reached out (through Expedia) to the hotel for solutions and the hotel refused our request for partial refund and never reached out to us to make things right during our stay.

A great place to stay

Nice hotel but difficult to give a great review. Rooms are clean and Waikiki Beach location is amazing. Overall the staff is kind and friendly and they try to be accommodating. I was there for work with a few family fun days. The types of issues we experienced: 1.) If you are not a high enough Hilton Honors member you have to get any/all bottled water from the nearby ABC store. (we were there for a board meeting and paid a lot of
money for a number of rooms). 2.)Tropics bar closes very early. There is no bar on the resort that is open past 10:30pm. Also, if you want to sit at a table they will not serve you drinks, you must get your beverages from the bar. The staff shoo you out. 3.)After express check out they automatically charged us for the pool towels! I very carefully included every room key and pool towel card in the little envelope. There were other minor inconveniences and concerns that would make me not choose to return.

Rooms are a little dated, but the location and views are amazing. And the resort has all the shops you need.

I would give this resort another shot however, I must say our first experience was less than stellar by the way the walls are extremely thin, it sounds like someone is slamming your room door every time someone near you leaves there room.

Day 1 - they were trying to sell us on paying $125 to have access to our room by 11am (so 5HRS early) our room ended up ready before 1pm without paying. Heading to our room first step off the elevator another guest cussed out one my guests. Bell hop very understaffed - took 4 hours to get our bags and we ended up having to get them ourselves. The shower head barely worked, we had no soap and the air conditioner was broken. Maintenance came “fixed it” late at night.

Day 2 - we were offered a small credit due to the inconvenience, air conditioner breaks again

Day 3 - we were offered an additional even smaller credit and late like 8-9pm on day 3 of 5 air conditioner finally gets fixed for good

Day 4 - was good

Day 5 - we checkout and the desk makes a mistake on the final room balance which “was fixed at the desk”

Get home and check the card statement to find we were charged triple what the final rooms balance was. Called the resort to ask about it and the lady was extremely rude and raised her voice saying we needed to wait 7-10 business days there’s nothing she can do and hung up the phone.
