We will come back!! We brought our two kids 8 and 10 and they also LOVED it!!

Great all-inclusive experience. The best food was at the buffet. The restaurant food was great looking but the taste was ordinary. Granted we didn’t try them all.

Perfect holiday resort for a romantic getaway or fun vacation with the family. Rooms are good and very clean, the resort is huge with an endless amount of fresh food & drink choices, cocktails are awesome and the staff are all extremely pleasant. If you’re travelling to Jamaica don’t stay anywhere else!

This place was amazing. The staff was friendly. Only complaint I have is that they wouldn't add my hilton honors number. They said it would change the rate to put my number. I've never heard that before.

Other than that, all was great. Great food, a lot of activities.
Preston in bell service was super helpful when I lost my phone.
Venesha at the bar by the front desk made the best drinks. I'm so sad I couldn't stay.

Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa was a 10/10.

We must send a big shout out to the Managment and staff of this hotel. They made our stay here a memorable one.

My husband and I spent our anniversary 💕 here and we enjoyed every moment of it.

We were well taken care of.
Guest; whether local or foreign are greeted and treated with the same respect upon arrival.

I must big up a few workers who displayed excellent customer service first let me start with front desk manager Shakira she was welcoming and attentive. Secondly restaurant manager Mr. Livingston very welcoming also has excellent customer service.
Thirdly waitress Sasharee; people friendly. Fourthly Jermaine from the entainment crew.  There are 2 more bartenders from the swim up bar a male i think his name is Oshane and a female don't quite remember there names 🤔  but they displayed excellent customer service.
Continue to serve gracefully.

My husband would say the only fault he found was that it was too good.👍

The property was clean, huge, beautiful and well kept. Every where on the property is picture perfect 10/10

The food was so...so... so...good 10 /10.
The room was well clean.

1 recommendation we would make though is that the entertainment team be given a hard drive with karaoke songs for karaoke night as oppose to be using YouTube to search for songs to let things look more professional.

Over all we would say we had an unforgettable experience, 👍thanks for the gifts and card thanks for making our second year anniversary an unforgettable one.  One for the books. 🏨  we will definitely be visiting again. ⛱

I’m sitting in the airport on my way home from Hilton Rose Hall and all I want to do is turn around and go back. Service - top notch. View - tremendous. Music - incredible. I will definitely be back!

This place issued a charge to my credit card after I left without my authorization. They claimed it was for an excursion, but I paid for all my excursions upfront when I booked them at the hotel.

The hotel charging me a full week after I left the hotel was negligent at best and fraudulent at worst. They gave us tickets after we paid to give the tour guide, which we did before boarding the bus.

We wouldn't have been able to get on the bus without a ticket. As soon as I saw the charge on my statement, I tried to resolve it with the hotel, with them telling me they understood and passing my concern to different people who didn't follow up, so I reached out to my bank to dispute the charge and said they'd look into it.

Almost three months after my visit to Jamaica, I'm still trying to get my money back. Be careful! I would recommend using cash instead of card here.

Not a great option. The best part of the resort is the sea and color. The water park is ok for one day and then you will loose interest. 3 palms is the best restaurant here and rest dinner options are decent. Nothing else is worth mentioning good.

Staff were exceptional.

Wonderful spot, beautiful location and plenty of happy people there. All-inclusive, food and drinks aplenty and a very cute mini waterpark for the "kids" (adults had a lot of fun there too!)

One wish - that there were more beach chairs available or some way that people wouldn't be hoarding them as much. Not any worse than any other resort probably, but maybe a system like "beach tags" where it was to reserve 1 chair per person, might have made the stay more enjoyable. My husband got up early (5am) to reserve chairs for us!

The Hilton Rose Hotel Montego-Bay was a fantastic experience. Nice choice of restaurants, rooms tidy and well maintained, fridge well stocked of all types of beverages. I had an ocean view over the amazing golf course, which was breathtaking.

I'm going to put tips for traveling here at the top, in case you've already booked and are looking for tips. For a more comprehensive pro/con breakdown for those who are on the fence about going, keep scrolling.

TRAVELING TIPS FOR A GOOD STAY AT HILTON ROSE HALL

- First things first: you gotta be tipping. Everyone happily accepts American money, so if you're coming from the States, just bring as many small bills with you as possible. (You can change larger bills at the front desk.) Here are some actions that should elicit a tip: help with luggage, serving you food, serving you a drink, making you an omelet at the breakfast buffet, making up your room (leave the tip on the pillow). IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO STAY HERE, YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO TIP PROPERLY. The Jamaican minimum wage is about NINE DOLLARS A DAY. They are living off their tips. Don't be a lousy cheapskate.

- If getting a good chaise by the pool or ocean is important to you, you gotta get up early and claim it with a towel and/or your stuff.

- Make your sit-down dinner reservations as soon as you arrive. They'll only book a few days out, so you'll have to return to the reservations desk a few times. Come ready with the Notes app on your phone open so you can jot down when your reservations are for, because they don't provide a print-out.

- The schedule of events is posted across from the towel hut. It's a good place to stop at early in your stay to see if there's anything you'll want to do.

- It's worth investing in a waterproof bag for your phone, since so much of the resort revolves around water activities.

PROS OF STAYING AT HILTON ROSE HALL

- This place is gorgeous, honestly. The views are incredible. If you want to take amazing pictures of the Caribbean, you will be happy here. Every inch of the place can see out onto beautiful land or seascapes. Even "partial" ocean-view rooms have great views.

- It's super kid-friendly. My kids had a blast going to the swim-up bar and getting virgin strawberry daiquiris and Shirley Temples (and tipping for every drink!!) The water park is so much fun for kids. Lots of parents were dipping their babies into the zero-entry part of the water park, while older kids raced around the lazy river. And every restaurant had a basic American kids' meal menu (mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, etc).

- Most of the staff provide really good service. I loved it when staff recognized me as a repeat customer (shout-out to Sylvester at the omelet bar) and greeted me or my kids. Is every single person here providing excellent service? No, but that's a fantasy.

- The beach swimming area was so lovely. It's not very big, but it was never crowded. Being able to relax in the Caribbean was a highlight for me.

- I really enjoyed the one night I went to family karaoke.

- Getting a massage at the outdoor spa was such a cool experience, because you're right by the ocean, and you can feel the ocean breeze and hear the waves.

- In my opinion, the resort is the exact right size -- not so small that you're on top of everyone else, but not so big that I didn't run into my family as I went about my day.

CONS OF STAYING AT HILTON ROSE HALL

- There's some administrative incompetence that is a bit wearing. My party had a helluva time checking in, for reasons too complicated to get into here. Then as we were leaving, it turned out someone had charged $300 worth of spa services to my room, and the name on the services didn't even match anyone in my party. I think there was also an issue with a dinner reservation being for the wrong number of people. It's not awful, but any friction on vacation is unpleasant.

- Overall I wanted the resort writ large to be more proactive about notifying guests of things we might want to know. On cruises, you get a guide to the next day's activities slipped under your door in the evenings. Why do you have to walk out to the towel hut to know what's going on while you're there?

- The physical plant needs some TLC. We had multiple elevator issues during our stay.

The negative points: We had a room with a view of the roof of the hotel even though we wanted a sea view. There is a rope in the water to mark off the swimming area which is not very big and if you go past it you get whistled 😡The beach is very small and the water is not clear. We usually went to Cuba and expected similar beaches and clear water. If you want to do snorkeling, forget it. We were very disappointed for the price we paid.
Positive points: Very good and varied food, very friendly staff and the children really liked the small water park.
The hotel is quite clean

Holiday vacation gone bad.. service is so poor and rooms are well below average. Booked this hotel since it is Hilton but never matched up to Hilton standards. Room phones doesn’t work for the dialed number ones and for 0 no one pics up for ever. So tired for calling 0. House keeping is so pathetic.. maids are very mean, called several times to clear our room everyday . Complained to manager and house keeping supervisor.. no one was able to understand the situation. Manager offered $20 k HHR points to remedy.. obviously gone with Caribbean winds..Service is so mean and pathetic and I would never go back ever again.

Had an absolute wonderful 10 days here. I requested the room to be on the Golf course facing side as we had a young baby with us. I'm so pleased we did! It was so much more peaceful compared to the other pools/bar facing rooms. Plus the lifts on this wing were much more efficient than the other side. The caring and friendly staff made this trip so special for us. Loved the facilities too, great choices between the main pool, lazy river/swim up bar and the beaches. The Cafe was perfect for good coffee and if you wanted extra treats (open 06:30-21:30). So many choices of places to eat throughout the hotel complex ensured we were able to vary our food experiences every day. (Highly recommend the Saturday evening Jamaican night on the beach). The room we had was ideal for the three of us. Lovely bathroom, enormous comfortable bed and a balcony with lovely views of the golf course and sea. Unfortunately the cot/crib we were supplied was unusable for us, as way too large and unable to reach the mattress safely. I highly recommend the all-inclusive package of this hotel and we will definitely be returning.

The experience I had with food was a roller coaster. Sunday food was terrible but throughout the week it gradually got better. Most fruits was sour, dry and/or not ripe. They ran out of patties no Jamaican foods, no oxtail etc. However, throughout the week fruits got better: exotic fruits started coming out, jerk chicken - pork etc. One of the main downside was they make you pay extra for oxtail.

Drinks: good drinks and they ain't cheap on the liquor

Staff: super friendly , helpful , greetful , welcoming. However super short staff. Had to wait over 30 min to get someone and waited over 1.5 hour to get my room.

Outdoor: very clean and looks good. Good vibe and things to do. Swimming pool is very modern and clean. Relaxing environment.

Rooms: old and outdated .

Elevators are super slow , only has 4 elevators ....

Entertainment: superb, keeps family entertained.

Overall we had a great time at the Hilton. It's an older hotel turned into a resort so there's some signs of its age (some rooms need updating) but all the public areas have been renovated and are well appointed. The food was excellent, the pool was clean and the lazy river was a big hit with the kids (and many adults). The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The beach was kept clean and not much seaweed during our stay. The resort is located 15-20 minutes from the airport which is great.

The two stars is purely the staff which were very inviting and nice

The food was not good at all, thank goodness we went off the resort to explore and try REAL Jamaican food - which was delicious

The room was very muggy and had a humid smell. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable hard to sleep. The air conditioner started leaking heavily caused a huge puddle in our room…. They refused to move us.

The pools were nice but not too much excitement/entertainment there wasn’t even music playing!

Loved Jamaica but Would never stay here again

Please do not go.... Because you will never want to leave. my 2 year old son JP had such a blast!! between eating all day, non stop drinks. beautiful pool & Beach aint nothing much you could really ask for. Awesome staff. We went for my Wife Birthday & She said It was her best birthday ever. Thanks Hilton Rose again for the hospitality. Only thing i would change is your reservation policies. You should be able to request them at least a week or 2 in advance. Also a better buffet dinner selection would be nice. Breakfast is awesome though

Excellent vacation spot with beautiful views of: beach, resort grounds and of the Caribbean Sea. So much fun in the lazy river and on the water slides. Food was great with much to choose from. Staff are wonderful throughout the resort. Rooms are cleaned well. Only constructive feedback - rooms are as mentioned dated but any room view I would say is likely to make you forget about it. Also ...you are there for the joys of vacation on the resort outside the hotel room. Coffee shop is picturesque and great coffee and treats inside. We will return.
