Our 3rd time here and it did not disappoint! Fabian, Umberto, Montse, Rocio and Danielle Bonita with the entertainment staff were so fun. David and Reyes at the pool bar took amazing care of us each day and made us look forward to seeing them every day! Kid friendly, small and tropical. Would recommend!
We are here with the a big group family
We like the food the activities and the staff of starfriend Rocio, daniela, fabian and montse
Everything was excellent, incredible wildlife, excellent service, excellent fitness classes with Manolo, Zumba and yoga at sunset. Congratulations !!
Iberostar Cozumel is my home away from home. The staff is fantastic! Manolo will get you active whether it is zumba, yoga, or water excercise. Angeles makes sure the Prestige area is sparking clean, and Christian and Raul in Prestige are simply the best. A huge thank you to a very hard working staff.
Excellent service
Very good hotel, delicious food, there are activities throughout the day for the whole family, entertainers Manolo, Fabián, Ismael, Daniela, Rocío, Fany, Ely, Rosy and Sol have excellent activities and are super cool. At night there is always a good quality show, the drinks are well prepared, they care about quality in all aspects. highly recommended!!
Disappointing Experience at the Presidential Suite:
I recently celebrated my 40th birthday by renting the luxurious presidential suite. Accompanied by a mix of family and friends, we occupied a total of six rooms, including the presidential Suite. However, our stay was marred by unexpected incidents and disappointing service.
Theft Incident:
On the first morning after our arrival, I discovered that my $300 Bluetooth speaker and a pair of Under Armour sandals had been stolen. These items were left outside our suite near the private pool while we briefly stepped out for a walk. The audacity of someone stealing from a private suite surprised me, and despite an “investigation” by the staff, the missing items were not recovered.
Beach Access Dilemma:
Later that day, Laura from guest relations was looking into the stolen speaker, and then informed us that the beach access in front of the suite was private, and we could not use it. Surprisingly, there were 15 to 20 open chairs available. In an attempt to find a reasonable solution for the morning theft, I proposed, “How about you let us hang out on the beach? If the chairs fill up, we’ll happily move. If you could deliver some drinks to our fridge, and we can call it even for the speaker and sandals.” I believed this was a fair compromise. However, the answer was a resounding “no.” Instead, we were told that we would have to pay $50 per person per day to use the beach directly in front of our suite! Additionally, we told we would be charged for having additional beer and wine delivered to the room. This felt absurd, considering we could easily walk to the bar by the pier, order four beers each, and take them back to our fridge.
Lack of Exceptions: Despite paying a premium for the presidential suite, our requests for exceptions were met with a constant “no.” Other guests in the Star Prestige Beach Club sympathized with our situation, expressing that this level of strictness was unusual. Even the resort map, which I examined, did not indicate that the beach in front of the presidential suite was private. We were left feeling confused and disappointed.
Power Outages:
The resort experienced two days of power outages, disrupting our afternoons. On the first day, we were informed of a brief outage, but it stretched into a six-hour ordeal. During this time, we had no running water, no functioning toilets, and no power. Even the blenders for our mixed drinks were rendered useless. Staff assured us that the issue was island-wide, yet we discovered that a nearby restaurant remained open. Consequently, we were forced to spend extra money on a taxi and dinner outside the resort. Although power was eventually restored around 6 PM, we had already made alternative arrangements due to uncertainty.
Mysterious Morning Odor:
Another peculiar occurrence was the unpleasant smell in the mornings. Following plant watering, the air became unbearable—so much so that we couldn’t even enjoy our private pool. Thankfully, the odor dissipated after about 45 minutes, but it was hardly the wake-up experience we desired.
Bright Spots:
Amidst these challenges, two individuals stood out. Cindy, our server at the breakfast buffet, was an absolute delight. Her warm demeanor and attentive service made our mornings enjoyable. Additionally, Armando at the beachside bar was terrific, adding a positive touch to our trip.
In summary, our experience fell short of our expectations, especially given the significant investment in the presidential suite. The lack of flexibility and understanding from the staff left us questioning whether this was truly a five-star experience. I hope the management addresses the issues to ensure a more consistent and pleasant experience for future guests.
Excellent animation team! Daniela, Fabián, Rocio and Eli. We had a great time. It's great. I highly recommend it.
It was a wonderful experience, a quiet hotel, its excellent animation team of Daniela, Fabián and Rocío
How to describe this hotel with words…Simply excellent. To begin with, everything works perfectly, everything impeccable, the landscaping is very neat. The spacious rooms, very beautifully decorated, very comfortable mattresses and pillows, very soft padding, guaranteeing the best rest.
The food is delicious. They offer some restaurants with a la carte food (here I want to highlight Hilario, who works in Mexican, excellent service) and others with buffets, with a very wide variety. There is something for all tastes and with beautiful presentations. Here I also highlight the waiters and chefs, who were always attentive to your needs and had a very friendly treatment.
The hotel has a beach, where you can go on excursions (diving, snorkeling), take sea baths, and watch the beautiful sunset. It also has a pool, with a bar in the middle (where they serve delicious drinks!) and where there are always very fun activities guided by the star friends and a DJ (Oscar is a genius!). I take this opportunity to say that the entertainment team made my stay 100% better. Always smiling, willing, with very good vibes, encouraging us to do activities to have fun. I thank Rocio, Eli, Carlos, Humberto, and a very special hug to Dani and Fabi.
It also has a children's club (the star camp) where they carry out very fun activities for children and adults too! So thanks also to Rosa, Ismael and Sol.
You can also do water gymnastics, Zumba, yoga, given by teacher Manolo.
At night there are always shows with different themes performed by Abner, Abril, Zoe, Lindsay and Alexis. All very talented!
The only inconvenience I had was that there was a bit of a bad smell in the room coming from the sewer… a temporary problem that they were already trying to solve.
If you are thinking of going, don't hesitate! It's 100% worth it. It is ideal to go as a family or as a couple, but also alone, because there are so many activities that you will have the same fun.
Excellent place. For the warmth of nature, the facilities and the people who make it up. Special mention and thanks to the entertainment people like Daniela, Fabian and Elizabeth, Ismael, Rosa, Sol, Rocio and Manolo in the sports department, who were constantly attentive to make the stay a more pleasant place.
Very nice resort, the one rooms AC was not as cool as the other one even though we asked a few days to have it looked at. The food, staff and charters were all very nice.
Excellent attention and service.
The animation team Daniela and Fabián are the best at Iberostar.
I want to deeply thank all the hotel staff!
RECEPTION: Suemy, Isabel and Wendy made us feel at home from the moment we arrived until we handed over the room
GYM: To coach Manolo who helped improve our diet and gave us many health tips
BUFFET: Miguel, Carlos and Vitaliano, their attention was wonderful
MEXICAN RESTAURANT: Hilario treated us incredibly, more elements like him, very friendly, smiling and helpful
POOL BAR: Álvaro 10/10 very attentive and friendly
ANIMATION: Daniela, Rocio and Fabián helped us get out of the routine with their activities in all areas of the hotel (beach, lobby and theater
THANKS TO REDENTO TRAVEL, THE BEST TRAVEL AGENCY FOR MAKING THIS TRIP A REALITY.
We will return with great pleasure
Super recommended!!!
P.S. We were missing the disco ;)
We LOVED our experience at the Iberostar in Cozumel! Daniela, Elizabeth, Rocio & Fabian made our stay so much fun with their energy and amazing personalities!
great resort however there was no dancing or music . Music should be around the pool and at night for the adults some music and dancing. other than that very nice resort
Had a great couples vacation here with a lot of drinking and diving haha. The rooms are definitely a little small but fine for 2 adults. Food and drinks were all good, service was great. I really liked the little water fill stations throughout the resort, and the wildlife everywhere you look. There's great reef nearby for diving, but that means the beach is rocky. There was access to ocean swimming half way down the pier.
Elizabeth, Daniella, Rocio and Fabian were wonderful. The activities were great! We loved Cindy in the buffet restaurant. She always had our lattes ready first thing in the morning!
Daniela and Fabian, are the very very best!!
The hotel is very organized, clean, and the food, especially for breakfast, is very good.
The entertainment was amazing special mention to Danielle, Fabian, Rocio, Elizabeth, Rosa, Isma and Manolo they are really friendly.
I have participated in several fitness classes with Manolo and plan to do more for the rest of my trip! Each class is very fun and well thought out. I highly recommend doing his classes.
We also did participated in a lot of activities and had so much fun. Roclo, Fabian, Elizabeth, Daniela and Rosita were the best and we had a blast.
