It was our first time at an Iberostar property and it won’t be our last! Just came back from our 7 day all-inclusive stay and it was an amazing experience. Our concierge Joissaint was the absolute best, from his friendly greeting when we arrived and property tour to being available at any time during our stay to answer all our questions! The hospitality of all the staff was great, especially Joissaint.
I do not recommend it, old facilities need to be remodeled, check-in is slow and the rooms look old, they should update everything, the staff The service, some very friendly, others not so much,
Recently returned from a 1 week stay in Iberostar Dominicana. Rooms are a bit dated and had a stale smell coming from the bathroom, TV difficult to operate and a mix of international channels.
Do not do the "free breakfast" at the neighbouring hotel, it's a scam to give you a sales pitch for Iberostar membership for over 2 hours, which was not clearly explained to us and was an uncomfortable start to our holiday.
Vegetarian options at the buffet were ok, albeit a bit limited, and there was cross-use of cutlery and utensils by staff between meat and veggie dishes.
Plenty of bars available and sunbeds around the pool, if you want a beach-front bed you have to be up before 9am to reserve one with a towel. Worth it though as the beach was lovely, well kept and enjoyable for a late afternoon stroll along the waterfront.
The buffet it's good. But can improve a lot.

The organization of the hotel is great. The cleanliness of the rooms and bathroom is not good. It left a lot to be desired! The rooms smell bad (musty smell). There is dust in the corners of the walls and under the bed. The bathroom was not very clean. I thought there was little water coming out of the shower.
I was impressed that it was considered a 5-star hotel. In my classification it is a 3 star hotel.
The food buffet has great options, it has food for everyone, but the food is very greasy and has little seasoning.
The restaurants that are by appointment are great!! Congratulations on that! Great organization and excellent food!!
I came to the hotel with my 1 year old son, and I felt that the hotel is not made for everyone, as it is sold on social media. There were no places to stay with my one-year-old baby. The only place was the children's pool. However, anyone traveling with a small child knows that it is not possible to stay in one place, much less directly in the sun!
There are no places to sanitize baby bottles!! I asked reception for guidance and they said to ask the bar to sanitize it with hot water. The first time they asked, they did it well, but the second time they complained and left the bottle dirty. Terrible for traveling with children. The hotel only has facilities to accommodate children over 4 years old.
I would not return to this hotel. But, for those who want value for money, it's worth taking a chance.
