"The best hotel in Cuba, beautiful beach. Stayed there for one week in section 11, 2nd floor, room 11219 very quiet, nice clean room with large bed, roll-out-bed, arm chair, iron board, hair drier, electronic safe, etc. The food was O.K. Made 2 reservations to Japanese restaurant and Romantico (both restaurants are wonderful, especially liked Japanese and chef Carlos). Didn't like the lobby, because lots of people were smoking cigars, so we avoided lobby area which is fine with me."

"I had an amazing time! The resort was surprisingly clean and the staff were super friendly. There were many restaurants to choose from and the food was decent. The buffet was my top choice for food and it had a lot of options to choose from. The entertainment provided by the Star Friends made our trip so much more enjoyable and I would recommend to take part in a lot of activities. Overall, a great trip at a great resort!"

"The hotel was beautiful, however the food was not at its best. We were told that it was a 5 star, but its actually a 4.5! We were satisfied with the room, it was always ready and did not have odors like other Tropical places we went to. The beach is amazing, very clean and no workers every bother you to buy anything like they do on the Dominican Republic beaches. The ocean is clean and literally see-thru! it was beautiful. My husband got food poisoning on the 2nd last day, as did another couple we met on our flight there. Luckily, i brought Imodium and gravol, other wise I don't know what we would do, since they don't sell it in the resort. When we got back to Canada on May 26th, he was still very sick up until yesterday. (May 30th) Not only was the food horrible, you can only go to 4 out of 6 a la carte restaurants! i have never seen that before in any resort we've been too, and we travel a lot!! Also in regards to the food, their juices were all fake!! My orange juice was water with tangerine powder, and my pineapple juice, wasn't even pineapple! We assumed their alcoholic beverages like pina coladas would be good, but they weren't. We felt like they did not know how to make cocktails or anything. Since the juices were horrible, the only thing we drank was water ( which has an odor), but mostly their Gin and Tonics with lemon juice and beer - that's all that was actually worth drinking. We would not go back to this hotel, especially for the price we paid, but it was not a bad experience over all if your looking to just stay at the beach and have fun."

"The resort was fabulous. The beach and pool areas were fabulous and clean and the a la carte restaurants were very good (especially the Japanese)! We would definitely go back again. The only negative part was they ran out of beach towels half way through our stay, so you may want to bring your own beach towels."

"we stayed at Iberostar Laguna for a week, we had a wonderful time, it a very beautiful place, the suite we got was very big for the three of us. I can't say enough about the service, from the time we arrived till we left, we were treated very well. The maids, we left a note asking for extra water, she replenished the mini bar every single day we were there. My family and I will go there again. The place is new and it really shows. There are so many pools all over the place, the beach is very beautiful.
This was second trip to Cuba, I really enjoyed this trip more than the first one, mostly because I went with my wonderful husband and lovely daughter and we got to stay at this beautiful resort."

"This is a beautiful resort. It is new and it shows. The lobby is definitely one of the best we have seen among the other resorts we stopped at in Cuba. There are tons of pools if you're a pool person, and the beach is long and wide, much wider than the beach of the two resorts next to it. The rooms are nice and big enough, and we had no problems with bugs or mold. The food was good. I was worried because of what everyone says about the food in Cuba, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the food here. It does get repetitive towards the end of your stay, but you'll get that anywhere. We went to 3 of the 5 A la cartes: Cuban, Japanese and Steakhouse. The Cuban restaurant wasn't anything special. The Japanese and Steakhouse were delicious. I was told that the other two restaurants are great as well. The staff is good, most are knowledgeable and helpful. All in all this is a great resort. I would definitely recommend it."
