The Iberostar Playa Alameda is a nice adults only resorts to stay in Varadero. There is lots of selection at the buffet and good a la carte restaurants to choose from. Excellent attention provided by the workers at the Iberostar Playa Alameda Hotel. It has luxury gastronomic services; with a wide variety of offers for all culinary tastes. Without a doubt we will repeat the experience on future occasions.

My mother and I shared and amazing week at the Iberostar Playa Alameda, the resort is compact and beautifully maintained.
We spent most of our time near the pool we ate at thenavk bar and tried all of the Ala carts. Our favorite was the Cuban with the rose wine.
I also enjoyed the vacation as the hotel is 16+.
We would be back for another visit in the future.
We have been to this resort six times with our friends, and we consider many of the staff there to be our friends as well. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is always plentiful, with a variety of choices. Beach is beautiful and we can't wait to go back. Many of the rooms have been updated and as a returning guest, you can choose your building without added cost.
I would recommend this resort to anyone wanting to escape cooler weather for some relaxing time in the Cuban sun.
How can I say...3 restaurants closed out of 5. No change in food during the 15 days we stayed, always the same dishes. In the morning, bread only for 3 days. Afterwards, nothing more. You have to queue in the morning before 9 a.m. to reserve in one of the two restaurants available for the same evening, with no guarantee of having a place, only 40 places available. The dishes in the restaurant are the same as those offered in the self-service restaurant, just better served. Pfff....The beach bars and self catering remained closed for several days, and only reopened on the last day.
Not to mention the waste (corks, papers) right next to the outdoor tables...(see photos)
Wifi is available when you want it, you have to constantly reconnect.
The SPA is closed...massages are done outside, right next to the swimming pool (no discretion)
You have to fight to get deckchairs, not to mention that for the first 5 days, the swimming pool was unusable for 2 days to clean it, half day by half day. Practical ....
Note in the photos the nonchalance of the people in charge of cleaning the swimming pool...
In short, it’s worth a 2 star, no more!
Reception with excellent service, cleanliness is excellent, food very well prepared, public relations with its super attentive girls, the community manager very professional and extreme security.
Pleasant stay in this wonderful place, excellent service. I am infinitely grateful to the entertainment guys, especially Suly and the great charisma of Yesika. I love the groups in the mall, especially the key ones.

Great intimate resort with fabulous people. So looking forward to walking the beach at sunrise or that super early coffee at Natasha makes at the pool bar🙂.
To me this resort is a must if you enjoy quiet adults only.
Resort is very run down, maintenance is only a passing thought. It rained and we had a pool in our room, recepticals falling out of the wall, and no hot water the first day. Resort seems half closed. Ice cream stand closed and they said not re opening Lineups for a drink about 1/2 hour as they only had 1 bar open. Went to snack bar and couldn't get a coffee after waiting over an hour while the staff just talked amongst themselves. Food was not good, certainly not what they advertised. We upgraded to the superior room and I do not recommend upgrading before you get to the resort as it is the same terrible experience. Now the staff. The front desk staff said our room was the superior room and was the renovated room. Renovations were 22 years ago according to 1 staff member. Trying to get an alcarte restaurant reservation is gong show, you must line up every day at 900 am to beg for a reservation, if you get there at 9:15 the line is still there but there is no more reservations. This is a great place if you like standing in line and then getting treated poorly from the staff.We have been to Cuba many times to many resorts and this was the worst experience yet. I asked for Sunwing to put us on a plane back home after 1 day. After wasting a complete day of my 7 day vacation we paid for a taxi and went to another resort. The reviews and website pictures are fake. I have stayed at 2.5 star resorts in Cuba that were great compared to this that's why we came back to Cuba. But after this experience we will probably not return to Cuba.
