If you smoke be prepared to walk to a smoking area far away from your room. Everyone has a balcony and these people want to threaten you with blowing smoke into air, hurting no one. It's ridiculous, I can appreciate not smoking in rooms, which I totally agree with but if you're out in the open what does it hurt..

Great location - especially if you like to snorkel - close to Whaler’s Village and many cute restaurants outside of the resort grounds too. We spent each morning walking to Black Rock where we swam with the turtles and saw the fish swim among the coral. The grounds of the hotel are well kept with hammocks all around. Our room was clean and newly renovated and the staff were all lovely!

10 out of 10. Loved everything about our stay. Very tranquil yet super close to Whalers Village. Amazing staff. Great cultural experiences. We will be back!

We stayed in first floor with garden access, rooms are nice and big and queen has extra day bed it can sleep upto 5 and king can also have extra bed that can sleep upto 3. Overall weather was good, service was great and good garden view, very happy with our stay.

Really friendly staff and love the reusable water bottles and beach bag that they gave us. Very helpful for the trip. We love the original Beach hotel and it was acquired by Outrigger last year. Will come back again.

This hotel is amazing. It was perfect for us because it is on Kaanapali Beach and you have access to all the other hotels along the beach by the sidewalk that runs along the whole beach. But we loved this hotel because it’s close to everything but the grounds of this hotel are quiet and laid back. The grounds in my opinion are more beautiful than all the other bigger fancier hotels. I like that the pool is set back away from the sidewalk unlike all the other hotels. The rooms are spacious, clean, renovated, and the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I ever slept on. Anywhere you are on this property you know you are in Hawaii and not just a fancy hotel. It definitely has the Hawaiian feel. Everyone that we encountered was so kind, warm, and welcoming here. The big restaurant at this hotel is Maui Brewing Co. This restaurant has delicious food and beautiful open air atmosphere. And again I like that it isn’t right on the sidewalk with everyone walking by staring at you. If I ever get to come back to Maui I will be staying here for sure. The ceremony they gave us the day we left brought tears to my eyes. We will treasure our Kukui Nut Lei’s forever and bring them back to have the white nut added if we are fortunate enough to come back.

Loved our experience ❤️

Only walked through but looks amazing!

Located right in Whalers Village.
The rooms were modern and clean. Maui brewing company was right on site next to the whale pool. Would stay here again.

We have loved every minute at this hotel/Resort

Most Hawaiian Hotel in Maui. If you want to experience Hawaiian culture, hospitality, and Aloha, and be treated like Ohana, this is the place. If you want the crowd, hustle and bustle, and status of a big name Resort, this is not the place for you. My wife and I consider KBH our second home and we tell all the timeshare sharks we already have a family home for less money... and the Best MaiTai's on the island!
Update, Not sure how it is now that Outrigger is running everything but I notice the prices just went wayyyy up!

It was so good! I can't wait to go back

Great location, outdated, good service and staff, Maui brewery very good

Small room, no microwave, we paid for an ocean view room, had to lean out over balcony to see the water

Exceptional location on the island. Great service with smiles. Always trying to add value to your experience. Incredible Wale watching from shore, and dolphins. Great Wale tour cruises, informative and exciting.

Nice hotel many activities to do. Beautiful beach.

Great vacation spot!

Very nice, well-kept facility, but you shouldn't have breakfast here

Wasn't at the hotel. Joined the Trilogy for a sunset cruise on a beautiful catamaran.

Booked a Luana Garden Villa through Outrigger. The communication prior to arriving in Maui was terrible. When we made it to our location our A/C wasn't working. Outrigger knew there was an issue but failed to contact us. When we complained to the hotel of the conditions they laughed and said don't book through Outrigger they are a terrible company and all of the bookings dealing with them are full of broken promises and terrible communication.
