Gorgeous prime location. Rooms are a bit outdated but the property’s beach access is wonderful along with ease of comfortably parking near. It’s very well kept, great access to good restaurants nearby. Would also note most of the units seem to have thin wood framed windows, so though there’s no noise at night, you can comfortably hear through all units through the day. Staff is generally kind, and service/water equipment rentals are very affordable.

Important note: Pool and Gym are NOT on the property and you’ll either be walking or driving over for access to the Poipu Athletic club. Super friendly staff there along with a great restaurant with poolside service.

We had an amazing time here several years ago. It is close to Poipu State Beach. The rooms were clean, there are stainless steel barbecue grills outside to use. Plenty of parking.

We actually booked with Castle Kiahuna and not Outrigger - interesting that the resort is not listed in Google Maps ? The location is great but the condos are really old and very overpriced. The first one we had was dark and moldy - noisy due to the street and unacceptable. Second one was 100$ extra a day and OK but still in need of renovation and upgrades. For the price we paid you get 5 star resorts in Asia and other parts of the world. No service whatsoever from the staff plus even a lack of parking in front of your condo.

Used by castles instead of outriggers
Clean, spacious and comfortable despite its age.
Beyond the lawn in front of you is the beach
There is no housekeeping, so bring your towels to the front desk and have them replaced.
I think the cost performance is good as an accommodation in the Poipu area.

Currently no direct beach access!!! One access point has been poor for years and had been closed when we arrived this year. The second access point -- a stairway -- was closed today for repairs. These are not recent issues, they seem to reflect a lack of preventative and proactive maintenance.

It's nice. Have stayed here a few times. The beach at the resort here can be quite busy at times.

Positives include: The property is in a great location. Well maintained grounds. Staff are friendly. Rooms are a good size and the kitchenette is really handy if you don’t want to eat out for every meal. Guests have access to the Athletic Club across the street which is good for workouts, tennis, etc. Drawbacks include: really dated furnishings, bathroom and kitchen. There are no bars, restaurants or other common amenities on-site.

The rooms are a bit outdated, however, the location is amazing. Having access to the Athletic Club across the street is super nice and the beach access is great as well. If the front desk staff was a bit nicer and the rooms were renovated, it would be 5 stars.

Little bit expensive, but one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Kiahuna. The location is super convenient, you’re close to several good restaurants, coffee shops and tourist attractions. We stayed in a newly renovated garden view unit. Despite it being on the first floor, we only had one roach visitor that we were aware of. Even though our unit was the furthest building away from the beach, the walk to the beach was not bad at all. Along the way, we enjoyed saying hi to the black kitty hangs out near the Castle registration. The kitchen is fully equipped with a glass top stove with a full size oven, dishwasher and coffeemaker. The staff are all so amazing and friendly. Jen at the front desk was super helpful and we greatly appreciated all the help she’s given us. We would definitely stay at Kiahuna again, maybe next time we will pay for a nicer room.

Out of this world. It’s not a hotel it’s condos managed by a hotel like service. So don’t expect room service. Treat it like it’s your apartment. Then you’ll be fine because the grounds are fabulous. I started at 8 days then doubled my stay because I couldn’t leave until I ran out of time.

I was with my family, 4 adults, and the 2 bdrm, 2 bath unit was perfect for us. Be prepared to climb a few stairs as it is on 2nd floor and has 2 floors,

The decor place could use a refresh but for the price I'm not complaining! Furnitre, beds, couches and chairs are comfy enough. We didn't spend a lot of time hanging out there.

The kitchen is well stocked, great for cooking up and serving the fabulous food. I recommend eating out as at least a few meals though! We've never had better food dining out regardless of price. Food is not cheap but if going to Hawaii safe up and experience the food!

The tiny issues we had were addressed immediately with a smile! Kim is awesome. The pool is beautiful though it's a walk to get to its an easy drive. The beach is an easy walk with two access points and is stunning. Stay for at least one sunset. Enjoy watching locals surf the big waves, especially the kids!

You won't regret staying at this resort. Enjoy!

ridiculous fees make this place very expensive. tbh i cannot understand cleaning fee few hundred bucks but not even cleaning daily.
room condition is good for family. location is awesome that direct access to kiahuna beach where surfing spot. it’s near poipu beach and for some it could be walkable but much better as it takes only few min by car

Great 👍 place 😃

We stayed in two different units during our stay because of availability for our dates. This experience really helped me understand the diversity of online reviews. The first unit was a solid 3, and the second was a 5. This is why I rated rooms a 4. There was a substantial difference between the condition of the units. One had broken floor tiles, wobbly, noisy ceiling fans, a broken microwave with a small replacement microwave using up the counterspace, and two very small, ineffective additional fans. The kitchen supplies were basic, but sufficient for preparing simple meals. This unit was on the 2nd floor and extremely uncomfortable by mid-afternoon. The second unit, a beachfront room on ground level, was a huge improvement. It had a large box fan and well-functioning ceiling fans that made the afternoon heat bearable. This unit was clearly well cared for and had many notable upgrades. The kitchen was well appointed and had nice dinner and glassware.
Overall, the grounds were impeccably cared for. We enjoyed strolling through the resort just to enjoy the flowers. There were gas grills in a few locations that were cleaned every day and looked brand-new. Both rooms had beach umbrellas, and the beach hut had complimentary beach chairs as well as equipment rental and surf lessons. The beach was comfortable and snorkeling was really fun with lots of fish and turtles. Although we didn't try a surfing lesson, it was entertaining to watch the lessons and to see the skill improvement throughout the day. Parking for our first unit was easy and close. For the second unit, it was more challenging to find anything near our place. Perhaps people were driving down close to the beach? Overall, it was a lovely resort. We felt that the upgraded room was definitely worth it.

I'd stay here again but request a beach front room that's been renovated. The room we stayed in was decades old and pretty dirty. They also don't have ac. The price was right and the location was great. We loved being by the beach and the pool was nice.

Stayed in room 401 and had a man catching chickens in a cage early in the morning by our room. He would snap their necks right by our bedroom where we slept. There are only shutters in these places and you can hear everything outside. Later in our stay we were able to change rooms for a hefty fee. Instead of chickens getting their necks snapped, this time it was workers digging holes next to our bedroom for the sprinklers. Don’t bother with contracting the front desk about any issues.
We booked our 86 year old great grandma and other grandma a stay here while visiting. Their luggage and all their clothes were soaked when they came back to their room. The ceiling from the second floor was leaking and they had to move rooms. It was a huge inconvenience and unprofessional to not help your guest when you have rooms leaking on their luggage. When trying to address these issues the older short Asian lady had an attitude and was extremely rude. At check out a different lady heard our concerns and she contacted someone higher who also did nothing about any of these issues. This place used to be nice ):

We really liked it! The apartment didn't have the latest furnishings but was clean and well maintained. We also had air conditioning. Everyone we met was very nice and helpful.

Beautiful resort, peaceful, close to the pretty white sand beach, blue water, great swimming, sunny spot!!
