Our Opnion

The Las Brisas Huatulco sits on an narrow peninsula over looking Tangolunda Bay. The views from this resort are amazing. The Las Brisas is a great 3.5 star option for couples and families because of its great value, it often times has very good vacation package prices. However, if the Dreams Huatulco or Barcelo Huatulco are available at a similar prices, those would be a better options in our opinion. The Las Brisas is located on a hill and doesn't have elevators and the walk from your room to the pool area can be long. If mobility is an issue, this hotel might not be a good choice. Still a great affordable resort option.

Excellent hotel and excellent service, I recommend paying for the all-inclusive, because there are no shops nearby and paying a taxi can be expensive

Nice place, very attentive receptionists

Good afternoon
My aunt left her iPad charger at the hotel, she is disabled and her iPad is necessary and Miss Briseida did not want to do her the favor of sending her with a guide sent and paid for from the CD. from Mexico, we ask for service

Beautiful resort. But make sure you have your walking shoes. The resort is on the side of a mountain.

I love the hotel, we are already clients, the facilities are very good and also the access to the sea through its private beach, the coral reef is home to a large number of colorful fish, for those who like to snorkel it is great, the buffet food It is very good as well as the drinks; Unfortunately, the attention of some employees leaves a lot to be desired, they seem to be annoyed, they serve reluctantly, not at all friendly, etc... they are few, but even so the bad time they give us is unpleasant, even with all this, I highly recommend it , I just love it

In the room there is only one glass to rinse when brushing your teeth, it was unhygienic for two or more people, it had a cardboard coaster which got wet and they did not change it in 8 days, in the pools there are very few umbrellas and no You find shade until after 3 in the afternoon. We stayed 7 nights and in the theater there were only 5 performances and the Thursday performance was repeated on Saturday, so it seems that we only saw 4 performances which seems very thrifty and miserable to me since my wife and I have been in many hotels and in the Mostly there are performances all week and rarely there are 6 nights; If someone books 5 nights from Thursday to Monday they will only see a show on 2 nights because there is no performance on Sunday and Monday and if they book 4 nights from Sunday to Wednesday they will also only see 2 shows. And as for the rest, it is very good, the food is excellent, the a la carte dinners too, the service and the cart service are very good. The prices were expensive for me, 5,000.00 a night in the cheapest room. On two of the three beaches they are infested with ants and they climb on top of the lounge chairs and it is very annoying.

A good place to rest

Excellent place to enjoy a vacation.

Very good attention from everyone and they have a children's area in Brisas kids club, also very friendly, very delicious food and beautiful beaches, recommended ☺️

This was our second time here for a 2023 family vacation and it definitely wasn't the same Las Brisas/service we experienced in 2020. We were all so excited to come back because the food was always good, we love the snorkeling beach/scenery but the attitude from some of the staff at the El Mexicano and the main bar was completely rude and unacceptable. I understand that everyone had to go through the Co-vid crap but our family like everyone else paid huge dollars to stay here again. The bartenders at the main bar seem to have more stroke than the hotel manager because we talked to the manager 2x and nothing changed. We always tip, we were patient when we were overlooked and the locals were served vs us every time no matter how long we were in line. Funny thing is the locals don't tip but the "Gringos" that do get shafted. Plus they tried to rip us off a few times pretending to not give any change back, 200 pesos for a tip really!!! The bar staff was the same in 2020 vs 2023 and funny thing was a couple of the bartenders that went from the main bar to serve at the beach bar had a completely different attitude towards us, why? I would put the names down from the main bar but the mangers and the guilty party know who they are. Attitude towards your customers is everything and this was a decision maker for us not to return in 2024. There were many staff from 2020 and they were wonderful as always. Thank you so much for your great service, smiles and conversations. Our family spent over 25k for our trip at Las Brisas in 2023. We threw around the idea of coming back but the frustration isn't worth it plus our beach club room went from 9.2k to 11.3k for 17 days???? Good bye Las Brisas we really thought we found our forever vacation spot.

Las Brisas Huatulco is in a beautiful setting, with three main beaches, two of which offer snorkelling opportunities. The ocean water is calm, clean/clear and very swimmable which is a real bonus and unique not only to the area (apparently it is the only hotel in Huatulco that has a swimmable beach) but to all of the Pacific Ocean resorts in Mexico (hard to find waters calm enough).

Our fellow guests were largely Canadians over 60 and as such, the resort does not have a “party” atmosphere. The other guests were Mexican and it was lovely to share the resort with nationals. The resort is well secured (24 hour security, gated) and one always feels safe. Everyone left their belongings at their chairs to go swimming etc. and I never worried about theft. I also appreciated that there are not really any vendors (they allow a couple it seems) so you aren't’ constantly being asked to buy things.

Many people comment on the hills and stairs. Yes, there are hills and lots of stairs - the property is HUGE. That being said, they provide transportation (24 hours/day) to help people get around. We walked at least 6000 steps a day without even trying. Admittedly we often took the transportation back to our room after dinner as our legs were tired from all the swimming and walking.

Others have mentioned that the resort’s decor and accommodations are a bit dated which is true. However, the bed and bedding were the best we’ve ever had and everything was very clean.

Generally we found the food to be good. We don’t like buffets so we avoided those except for breakfast. There were lots of hits and a few misses. We really liked the Mexican restaurant and the Mediterranean. Our room was in the “Beach Club” so we had unlimited a la carte dinners - note that these restaurants require reservations and they can only be made on Saturday from 3:00 onwards for the following week. Keep this in mind if you arrive on a Sunday etc,. you might not get a lot of selection as they tend to keep the numbers low for the a la carte restaurants.

We found the staff - everyone - to be friendly, accommodating and very hard working. One frustrating thing was tipping. We brought pesos with us in denominations of 500 and the front desk could only provide change in denominations of 50. We should have had smaller bills for simple tipping bartenders and beach drink servers, but that is a small thing - just a heads up.

If you want a relaxing, hassle free holiday with ocean swimming and snorkelling, you won’t find a better option in Huatulco. We will go back for sure.

My wife, children and I stayed from May 22 to 26 and we booked All Inclusive.

To begin, I want to comment that the hotel is huge, it has 20 hectares and 494 rooms. The hotel is divided into 4 sections: Sea, Stars, Clouds and Mountain. We got Stars. I could see that practically all the rooms have spectacular views. The architecture of the hotel (bedrooms, lobby, common areas, etc.) is very beautiful and very well designed. You can see a wide variety of birds, as well as iguanas, badgers, squirrels, etc. The vegetation is coarse and very beautiful. It has a good Wi-Fi signal throughout the hotel, including the beaches.

As I mentioned, the hotel is very large, so to move to the various areas of the hotel, the service of carts equipped to transport guests is available. This service works 24 hours a day, you simply have to call reception to request it. I have read comments from some people who complain about the time they have to wait, however, I consider that each person's opinion is relative, this really depends on how patient and demanding you are, in our case, the longest we had to wait It was 10 minutes.

It has 3 private beaches, 4 swimming pools (one is exclusively for adults and another is exclusively for children), as well as tennis, volleyball, basketball courts, gym, bar, boutique, an auditorium, 6 restaurants, among others.

The service from the staff in general is good, however, some employees stand out above others by having a very good attitude, in addition to the service they provide.

As for the restaurants, personally, we loved the Bellavista because of the variety of the buffet and the fact that it is also open from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. The El Mexicano restaurant is located near the beach and has a very nice view. There is another restaurant near the main pool, Pérgola, which without having a great variety of dishes, you can eat very comfortably. In our case, we had the right to 2 dinners to choose from 3 more restaurants, we chose Kasbah and Solarium, the latter a delight.

The only negative comment I have, as such, is not against the hotel, but towards some of the guests who, despite having a regulation to use the pools, move the lounge chairs away from the main pool while doing other activities, without having the slightest consideration of other guests who also wish to use the lounge chairs.

In general, that's what I can share. I definitely highly recommend the hotel. I hope to return soon and be able to enjoy another nice vacation.

Food was good, buffet always had good selections. The bay was great for being in the ocean. Lots of walking and stairs. Fermin was the best bartender, at the El Mexicano restaurante. Nice place to relax. Will go back.

The hotel is very beautiful

Excellent hotel, the rooms, the beaches and pools, very clean, the food excellent, I fully recommend it, and the staff very friendly.

It is a very comfortable, spacious and beautiful hotel, its service is excellent, every time they come they have a lot of fun in the kids club, the teachers are very attentive. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The food was delicious and there was lots of bottled water available. The staff are so welcoming and kind. The resort feels safe. I loved how we didn’t have to worry about having our stuff stolen on the beach or resort. The people in town were also super nice and not “pushy”. This is a great area for families and couples!
The weather I also fantastic and consistent. It’s very hot so I would personally be hesitant to take a child under 1 year old here just because of the humidity and heat. But definitely still a good vacation for families.

My only con which isnt about the resort itself is how the middle aged couples wake up super early to put their towels down on the chairs at the beach and then they take off for hours. We would go to the beach for 7:30am and all the good spots were taken and most people didn’t come back until noon. Very annoying to those who actually want to spend the morning laying close to the water. There are usually spots available at the back but it just seems selfish to reserve the same spots everyday and not even be in the area.

Our stay was very pleasant. The entertainment team and the Kids Club are very good! The food in general is also very good. The yoga teacher Jaz and the GYM staff are also super cute. Thank you very much to all! Nara, Tim, Mau and Jas

I loved it, the service was the best, the people who provided their service were very kind. The minibar was not working, we spoke to reception and in less than 20 minutes they went up to change it. I was satisfied, my family enjoyed it very much
