Our Opnion
This resort sits on a stunning Caribbean white-sand beach which is great for ocean activities. The resort itself though needs some renovations. The rooms are old and dated and the facilities have seen better days. If the price is affordable and you know what to expect in Cuba, then this might be a good option. If you are looking for a nice 4 star plus all-inclusive resorts, look to the Melia Cayo Coco or Iberostar Playa Pilar.

There are too many good reviews for this place. The food is terrible. The rooms are very gross, as there are splatters of who-knows-what all over the rooms. Even the ceiling and the smoke detector had splatters of something on it. My daughter had some bracelets and earbuds taken by the cleaner, and after we got them back, they didn't clean the room for the next four days. Everything needs to be replaced in the rooms.Toilets, shower, tub, furniture, sliding door, and mattress, But, what they can control is the level of effort they put into cleaning. Same sheets, same towels, and dirty floors. The only positive for the room was the air conditioner. Yes, the beach is great, but most are. The Diamond Club is barely worth it, but I did like their huts, but you need to put towels down before 7 am to get one. The DC service promised a waiter on the beach and we maybe got served 2 times all week. I did prefer the DC restaurant due to its proximity to my room in building 3 and the quietness of it, but the food was the same as the main buffet and the service was the same or worse. Anyhow, I will not be back. They need to improve too much.

Breathtaking sublime landscape!!
Miles of beach! Beautiful clear turquoise water, thin sand and Super white! Perfect for enjoying the sun and the heat😊🌺☀️BUT...the hotel is a big disappointment!! Waiting for check in was ridiculous! Zero toilet paper in public toilets, no toilet seats, no lights, no door handle, even better toilet that doesn't flush, full of stools, and lots of urine.. At least in the room There were. You should not flush toilet paper.

Our room was not cleaned, and we paid for a junior suite, which was not a junior suite...
the sheets are changed every day but they were all dirty-stained (blood-stools-other)..
Also it can get cold from time to time, I suggest bringing a blanket just in case!😁

Shower towel, do not change every day. I brought mine just in case!😋
Our shower had ZERO hot water, and very little water pressure. The whole week..

On food. Not so bad, just bring some condiments and you'll be fine!😊 bring some snacks too!
Also, very important, you must bring a large thermal cup for your drinks! They had a shortage of reusable cups during the week we were there.

If you are coffee lovers☕️, they may have coffee shortages. When I was there we only went 2 days without it, you have to start early in the morning!
So maybe bring your instant coffee.

We visited this resort in early January. We had a lovely time, despite many negative reviews. You know how much you paid for this vacation, you should have realistic expectations. If you are the type of person who requires perfection, or a 5 star resort, go elsewhere.

The beach was stunning, the service was excellent and our room was perfectly fine. The food was sub par, but relative to the price we paid we really can't complain.

We would have no problem returning to this resort and we met many repeat guests while we were there. We would recommend bringing bug spray, the mosquitos were annoying, but not worse than what we have in Canada during the warm weather.

If you come to this resort with reasonable expectations and an optimistic mindset, you will likely have a nice time.

Thank you to all the lovely staff members at this resort.

No food very bad old dirty bed bugs
No phones in room No coffee.
Really No a good place

Toilets flooded daily into our room, same towels all week as they had no clean towels to provide. Bring toilet paper! As you will run out. Public Bathrooms at resort don’t have toilet paper, toilet seats, soap. Beach and pool were nice but this resort needs to be shut down and have a complete over haul. Don’t waste your money! Diamond club was a joke! Paid for nothing… was suppose to beat the line and be welcomed with a drink, rooms were suppose to be stocked daily with beer, suppose to have someone on beach bring you drinks. All didn’t happen! Also the resort ran out of beer, eggs, butter, coffee the first 3 days.

This hotel ran out of bread for 2 days, had no blender to make certain drinks, wi-fi was bad, didn’t have enough alcoholic beverages, the food was so so. There was a cockroach under a pasta dish at the Italian restaurant. We freaked out and left right away!!!!!!’The worst was that the store didn’t have any tampons or pads. I had to beg a maid for them. Ridiculous. Never going back to this hotel. Never!!!!!!! The beach was the only good thing. After we complained about the roach, they did give us a special dinner on the beach. I have some pictures and the scenery was breathtaking. The pool was amazing but a bit too cold for me.

This was our first Cuban vacation. We had a blast, great beaches and pool, and great staff.
Food was not the best...we were able to find decent things from different restaurants that kept us going. Lots of shortages, but that is not their fault. I know I lost weight. 😆
My main issue was the volume of the music at the pool events and shows. It could have been half the volume and still been great. And the female host was always screaming into the mic. And it went far too late which meant no going to bed until it was over.

They messed up our room, we were supposed to be in a suite on the ground floor on the beach side, ended up pool side on top floor... and couldn't do anything about it.
Bring snacks, condiments and toilet paper.

No milk, no coffee. No fries. No toilet paper refill.
If you have kids- goodluck. Currently 2 days into my trip I’d leave now if I could

first time coming here was in 2017, everything were great, in 2022 this hotel has gone wayyy downhill!
First the hotel itself is old and got no renovations, cracks on the buildings, washroom is literally falling apart, hot water takes years to come up. Our room only had one outlet that's working, the first room they gave us had no power at all so we had to request a room change. Bugs and mosquitos everywhere, it feels like they never does any bug repelling in the hotel.
The food went downhill too, houseflies all over them, and they run out of soft drinks so often.

The most insane thing that finally got to me, was a dish in the buffet, they simply called it "seafood", but what exactly is it? NONE of them knew, I asked all the waiters, the chefs and the front desk managers, NO ONE was able to tell me what it was, not even in spanish. Like how can you serve it to guests without even knowing what it is? EDIT: After returning to canada I spent some time googling and it turned out to be surimi baby eels, but that was just straight up concerning! It shows barely any of them even KNOWS what they are serving to their guests!

Avoid this hotel, as a returning tourist that was straight up disappointing, sure cuba does not have the best living condition, but you'd think based on how much tourists they get they would invest some money to renovate older hotels.

Would never come back to this hotel! It was a quite disappointed experience as we were looking for a relaxing getaway with family. The beach speaks for itself as it was probably the highlight of the trip, but other than that, I would not recommend. It was almost like striving for survival at this point with the lack of amenities: no toilet paper, no extra towels, no wine, no coffee. Truly should close this and complete the renovation

The pool and the weather was great room was great service. And food sucked badly

The buffet, deficient, the a la carte restaurants very ordinary apart from the Asian restaurant no coffee in the cafeteria only at the bar and not every day flies at the buffet but lots of flies bedding not changed all week air conditioning which flowed and moreover, no I would not recommend this resort

Stayed at Memories Flamenco from February 17-24.

Staff: Overall pretty friendly, but a few times they would laugh in your face when you requested something they didn't have.

Hotel: You can tell the infrastructure is quite dated and needs to be renovated - IE. rips in the lobby seats, cracking tile throughout the resort and the public bathrooms didn't have locks on the doors. No toilet paper in the public washrooms either.

Food: Awful - We had to wait in lines at the Buffet to get anything worth eating. Majority of food served was inedible. Didn't have eggs or fruit most days in the morning for breakfast. Dinner & lunch are the same thing and consist of rice, beans, and some kind of meat. Tacos made at the beach kept us alive all week.

Drinks: Great if you like drinking rum punch everyday. They ran out of the majority of things throughout the week, which became annoying. We couldn't even get a coffee in the morning.

Room: It's okay. The first night we arrived very late and were given a room with 3 twin beds (for 1 couple), the toilet didn't flush, and barely any water coming out of the shower. We did request a new room that night and were given one two days later. The new room was much better, but still barely able to take a shower. And no hot water! Toilet paper was provided each day. Difficult to get clean towels as well.

Beach: Beautiful!

Overall, we had a great time, but have never missed our own bed at home more!

This is the most honest review of the resort you will get. I am not a picky person at all and neither is my girlfriend. We spent a week in mid-February here.

The airport is small, really small. But the process to get luggage and on the bus is under 90minutes; and the resort is a 20 minute drive away.

Check-in was easy, it’s at 4pm. We ended up getting put it Villa 10 (there are 10 villas total) which is farthest from everything (but closest to the gym) so it was no problem. Our room was fine. The toilet flushed, the shower worked with hot water, our front door locked. Our only issue was sometimes when the shower was on you would get some water leakage from under the toilet. And our safe didn’t work either (we just locked valuables in our luggage). Our room was cleaned and tidied every day. We tipped $2 a day and the only day we did not receive any water was the one day we forgot to tip (not sure if that was just a coincidence or not). All workers were very nice to us during our stay including not just the maids but the staff, bartenders, and ground keepers. So overall we had no issues with our room.

The main issue here really is food and alcohol. I am not a picky eater at all; but some times I was struggling to find a good meal (I am very big in to weight-lifting so I was always looking for my protein and carbs and each meal). Of the 7 breakfasts we had; only 2 days served eggs. And the lineup for it was ridiculous; the lineup for any hot meal being cooked to order was ridiculous. Especially the pasta station. They served pasta every night for dinner and the lineup would always be 25-30min minimum unless you got there when they opened. My girlfriend basically had pasta and hotdogs every night for dinner due to the limited options. A few meals they had no bread at all. For meat you likely had either beef or chicken and boned fish. Some foods they had out I had no idea what it was (a lot of the labels were wrong). They have an abundance of fruit though. No condiments. And the a la carte you could only get water or beer.

Alcohol; limited. They have more beer than juice though. They only had rum or vodka at most bars except one bar that had some whiskey. They have a heavy pour. The mojitos were my favorite. Their juices were very watered down and don’t taste like back home. And they have zero pop. ZERO. Even at the airport it is impossible to get Pepsi or Coke. The beers they have downgraded to pretty low quality. They don’t give Cristal and Bucanero like they used to; you can only get that at the gift shop if you pay for it. They sell overpriced cigars there too. We ran out of coffee for 3 days; that angered me the most. How do you run out of coffee it’s a basic drink. It’s like running out of water lol.

The beaches are beautiful in Cuba as they always are; and that’s what you go for. All in all, if you go in with low, realistic expectations of Cuba; it’s not bad. Although it’s a 5-star in Cuba, it’s more comparable to maybe a 2.5 or 3-star in Canada. We spent about $1550 a person and it was probably more worth about $800 each. With that being said; I wouldn’t come back for a long time. And that’s not against the resort; but the country in general. If Cuba had the resources like others along with their breath-taking beaches; it could be worth all the money in the world but it’s not. It’s abundantly clear they have a problem and it won’t take you long to figure that out.

The staff mostly works hard so please tip. Also they don’t use Cuban pesos anymore so please bring American or Canadian cash (yes they use both). Hope it helps!

By far worst experience we've ever had staying in any sort of establishment.
Room smelled of mold
Mold on floor
No hot water
No working phone
No coffee whatsoever
Rude staff
Room had puddles in floor every morning because of a water leak
Stains and bodily fluids on walls
Air conditioning runs for 15 minutes before an alarm goes off
Food is edible but only if you're first in line at the buffet
BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS
Water is scarce
Toilet paper is hard to get
Sheets/towels won't be changed
Complaints to the customer service desk will be met with "that's not true"
This was our first all inclusive and the only thing we could steadily get was rum punch. I would recommend camping in a snowstorm in Alaska before I recommend this disgrace of a resort.

No water changed the room no working toilet changed again door does not lock diamond club is a scam no sugar no napkins no toilet paper and no COFFEE guys honestly this not an exaggeration it is a fact and saying it is just as bad. Do not make that mistake I did just the beach is amazing

Just a series of dissapointments. From day one my washroom was never working. My toilets does not flush.

My room key stopped working on the 3rd day and after tracking house keeping and lining up again for the 5th time at the front desk.

Food is mediocre barely edible. Save your money the place is run down. I paid 1270$ for 4 days. I'd prefer if I was anywhere else.

I passed my vacation there. All was broken at room. They came to clean but they took dirty towels but they did not put clean towel.they did not put your bottle of water.when you ask about the water, they say:sorry.we do not have it.coffee machin is in room but not coffee at room.for 3 days no caffee available at all their bars.At snack bar no food.Always not burgur available, no frise.the only juce there just discusting mango juice. All the flash in toilets do not work.no toilet papers ,no napkin at resturants.Very discusting and disrespectfull. My familly vacation turned to a nightmare.Never come back even to Cuba.

Not far from the airport about 20 mins. reception and check in process is efficient and fast, just don’t fall for it and exchange money, Canadian dollars works fine you can have a change of $20 anywhere around - easy to tip. I would be honest about the rooms, it’s a bit outdated and you need to compromise your accommodation accordingly, like you need a working AC, shower and flusher, lights and TV, then you’re ok. beds aren’t comfy enough. But thanks to the house keeping, she made our accommodation happy and always clean. Her name is Glady. thanks to her, she made our vacation happy.
Now I take you to the magic as you don’t spend your time in rooms you go to the beach the most gorgeous beach you can ever see, the longest walk you can ever have and the water is unbelievable, very safe for kids and joyful.
Same the pool is awesome.
Snack bars are awesome and the service is amazing, the guys are truly hard working and decent, everyone does his best, nice friendly atmosphere.
Buffet was nice. I’m not a breakfast guy to say much, only my kids go for cereal while I’m having my tasty delicious cappuccino, for lunch I liked what was there normally chicken, beef, fish, rice, pasta and soup. I think it was enough. Dinner was almost the same like lunch no big difference. However, you can try a la carte restaurants, I vote for the Mediterranean restaurant, it had a tasty menu. Wouldn’t vote for the other restaurants cz I wasn’t impressed with their menu, it was the same like buffet.
Animation team is crazy, they are making two big shows like they could easily win the X factor 😀 for real. Best animation team ever for families, for kids, for teens. everybody is truly awesome.
Over all it’s a beautiful place, you’ll love the beach, pool, bars, animation, food and staff, all is perfect.
My only wish is to see them make more improvements to the rooms.

Location 15-20 minutes from the airport, beautiful site but some equipment needs maintenance (urinals at the lobby bar do not have a flushing system which sometimes brings odors and ladies toilets do not flush well, on two occasions, the sewers had to be unblocked near the homes). Buffet with Cuba's reputation, repetitive but good tasting, little choice of dessert and only one morning with fresh eggs. Excellent a la carte restaurant Asian, Mediterranean, Italian. I didn't go to Cuban.
Magnificent beach with sufficient pallapas and deckchairs. Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. Dynamic and efficient entertainment team, I loved the show which presented excerpts from: The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats.
