A charming, historic building that opened in 1901. Aside from the rooms, there are different food and drink options with views of Waikiki Beach to Diamond Head.

Visited the spa for a massage the facility was amazing with a jacuzzi, hot sauna , and dry sauna. I went with a CBD massage which was the most relaxed I have been in years.

Loved the atmosphere and beautiful beach

Rocking chairs rock!!!

When we arrived we were greeted by valet attended, they were very helpful everytime we called for our car, especially at four am. Both check-in and check-out attendant was very helpful, both explained everything and upgraded our room, we had great room view. Room service was good, only thing is bedding didn't stay in place, comforter kept sliding off the bed, all the restaurant and shopping was in walking distance, hotel was nice, smelled fresh clean and overall experience was great, we would definitely comeback.

The atmosphere is great!
I used the balcony
The price is also great (due to the low yen)! ! (tears)
If you pay 48 dollars in Japanese yen for a buffet, it's about 7,600 yen? ?
It's expensive...
Sorry, I felt the cost performance was poor due to the weak yen.

One of the best location on the Waikiki Beach ! The beach is literally on the "back yard" of the hotel!!! The hotel itself is little outdated, rooms are small and has an odor. No wander it is over a hundred years old. They build a new Tower and that one is nice and fresh so make sure you are booking a Tower suite to make your stay more enjoyable ! Restaurant on site is good but expect to pay over $300 for dinner for two people. Overall we were satisfied with our stay but if you are visiting an island with kids try to get a place with more room for your family!

Pioneering, luxurious hotel, very well located on Waikiki beach.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Honolulu. Great amenities.

In March 2024, I booked the minimum plan for 2 nights using points from the official website with platinum status.
I was assigned to the 16th floor of the tower and received an upgrade.
Platinum benefits include breakfast for $18 per person or continental.
If you have a buffet on the balcony, you can get Eck Benedict and special menu pancakes and waffles for the price minus the benefits, so if you order individually, it is better to order other than that.
The pool space was smaller than the Sheraton Hawaiian and I felt unsatisfied.
The scenery was nice, and the fruit and grilled salmon at the Japanese food corner were amazing.
I would like to visit the lounge again when it reopens.

Great place to have dinner. Excellent food, service and the location can't be beat.

Amazing experience!
Housekeeping was so thorough
Front desk helpful and accommodating

Great hotel, service, staff, amenities and location.

Besides the history and location.... Not much to talk about. Rooms are small. Location is great.

Staff made you feel welcome at all times.

We thought the hotel property was terrific. It's an amazing location on the beach with a 100 year old banyan tree. The rooms are small and a bit noisy but it's worth it for the location. The buffet breakfast was great with lots of options and a view of the ocean. We loved it. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa on Waikiki Beach, has a special place in my memories because I was able to experience precious moments there as a child. This historic hotel uniquely combines old world charm with modern comforts and luxurious amenities, making it an exceptional location for vacationers of all ages.

The location right on Waikiki Beach is simply unbeatable. The proximity to the sea and the breathtaking views of the ocean create an incomparable atmosphere that is both relaxing and invigorating. The hotel's majestic veranda, aging architecture reminiscent of Hawaii's golden era, and lush, well-manicured gardens provide a perfect backdrop for unforgettable vacation experiences.

Great location in the beach, service could be better, a best old the rooms, couldnt use the balcony it was locked

ATTENTION! Do NOT stay here if you want an ocean front view. Balconies on the tower wing are ALL closed. Talked to a few people that even said they told them their rooms weren’t affected but that is NOT true. Then they’ll tell you “oh, we took $100 off a night so you have a credit to your room” even if you haven’t paid yet they’re still going to charge you. Love the location but this is a joke. They said they won’t have the balconies open probably until SUMMER. Do yourself and your family a favor and just don’t stay here.

4 nights in a suite. The location is extremely good, but if you imagine a clean hotel in Japan, you may be surprised at the gap.
It may have been because it overlapped with the Honolulu Festival, but it was a bit annoying as it was late every day.
Other than that I'm relatively satisfied.
