Amazing everything! Jerry the afternoon event host was SO much fun. Great food, wonderful service, beautiful grounds keeping staff. Will be back

It is a medium-sized hotel, with delicious food and super attentive staff. Although the beach is not suitable for swimming, you can go for a walk and there are other beaches nearby to go swimming.

Normally I post reviews without being too critical, however on this occasion I have tobe critical.
I appreciate the design and architecture of older hotels, as long as they are maintained, unfortunately the Posada Real Los Cabos, a WESTJET recommended resort, is not one of them.
Poorly painted doors, paint peeling of the ceiling on the patio, deadbolt on door not working, along with no striker plate on door jam, shower water not been contained within the glassed area, cabinet doors hanging loose, draws not on runners, bedside table lamp held together with zipties.
The food was mediocre to tolerable, the most enjoyable being omelet for breakfast.
The staff, servers, cleaners etc could not have been more accommodating, it is a shame the front desk and management could not have had the same customer service attitude.

The place is nice, but it is old... they lack a lot of maintenance in terms of pools, bathrooms, reception and rooms, the quality of food and drinks is too low for the costs they have. In general the staff is cold

We booked our spring break trip at the last moment, without due research. After reading all these mixed reviews, our expectations were low. Luckily, our fears didn't come true.

This property is much older than all the white and shiny resort buildings along this stretch of the Sea of Cortez coast. Yet, it is well-maintained and provides a relaxing and enjoyable environment for guests, to recharge under the sun, see the sunrise, watch the pelicans, and walk on the beach. This stretch of the beach is not good for swimming, but many people get into the water nonetheless. As you walk along the beach, you see some resorts with a cell tower on the roof. Luckily, this one doesn't have it.

Our king-size partial ocean-view room was spacious and clean, with all bathroom plumbing in perfect repair and no toilet issues. The bed was comfortable. However the electrical fixtures looked outdated using flickering LED bulbs that we temporarily replaced with our own. (We always bring our own bulbs to hotels.) The curtains allowed a full protection from the outside lights during the night. Room service was very good. When we reported loose screws in the towel shelf, they fixed it in less than one hour.

Food selection was not too fancy, but good enough to satisfy all tastes. I especially liked their fish an seafood dishes. Food quality was quite good. We truly enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. (We skipped lunches.)

Night entertainment is sometimes too loud, especially if you go to bed early. You may need to close your terrace door to keep it quiet.

The hotel is in a walking distance from the bustling downtown of San José del Cabo, with restaurants, artisan shops, night life and street events. To get familiar with the area, we also bought a whale-watching trip and a Lapaz beach trip; both were excellent! (You will be better off if you buy entertainment trips online. The concierge will give you a really good price, but only if you agree to attend a sales presentation in another hotel, which took half of our day.)

I would never go back again!! The food is very bad!!! The beach is beautiful but you can't go into the sea!!! I wouldn't go back to that hotel!! All inclusive cheap!!!

Fun for a lower end resort. Everyone was helpful. The weight room was nothing much.

Overall it's outdated but if you're looking for a more relaxing getaway or time with Family this is a good option.

A very nice and spacious place, the beach is just a few steps away. The food is good, the drinks not so much. They need staff or they need to improve their method when ordering snacks, since instead of being a buffet, you have to order and they deliver it to you about 20-30 minutes later (being fast food, not a restaurant menu).
The staff is very serious, some seem angry.
Cleanliness can improve.
As for facilities, everything is good.

I recently stayed at Posada Real los Cabos, because I had stayed in Puerto Escondido for a long time and that is why I chose this hotel, however my experience was completely different, from the service that was terrible to the all-inclusive food, since you have to train to go through the food, when an all-inclusive is supposed to make the service faster and what to talk about is the attention of the staff in the kitchen, both the cook who was in charge of serving and the waiters who served were terrible. In the 4 days that I was there, they only came up to me once to ask if I wanted coffee or water or something. Unfortunately, in the reviews I read that the treatment of the foreigners was different from the Mexicans, and I actually saw it there. What a shame that a chain of Hotels like this do not pay attention to the service of their employees, it should be said that not all the waiters were terrible, in the pool area there was only one waiter who actually made an effort to serve us well.

Let's start with the good: the hotel's food in general is excellent, every day they have different style food (Asian, Mexican, Italian, etc.) all the food is of excellent quality and flavor, the cleanliness is totally good, the sheets, towels, etc. Completely clean and impeccable, the pool always had hot water and the staff is very friendly and willing to help with everything, the location is also very good, it is in an excellent location above the hotel zone of San José del Cabo.
Now with the bad: the pillows are super uncomfortable, hard and full of balls, it is very difficult to rest or sleep with those pillows, the rooms are a bit old and lack a lot of maintenance, there were burned out light bulbs, the door handle was broken and the furniture was old, the key system is outdated it is a transparent card with holes when currently all hotels of this style use electronic cards with electronic handles.

The hotel is very old, there are no accessible connectors to charge the phones, which wouldn't be bad if it weren't for the fact that the staff's treatment is terrible, they answer you reluctantly, they make faces when you ask them something, the buffet is the worst, it's very expensive so that they have 4 different and tasteless dishes and that the only good thing runs out when there are still two hours left before closing

The hotel is nice but it has its details, the locks in the rooms are old and broken and sometimes the cards don't work, the WiFi never worked during my stay, I always had to use my data, the pool bar hours are until six in the afternoon, if you want a drink after that time, you must go to the bar in the Lobby.

We also stay here when we arrive for a couple of days to chill before we travel around. The food and service is always good clean nothing super fancy and great location walking access everywhere and has a great beach and pool

The hotel is super well located in the Hotel zone of San José, only that it has its details, the room we had the furniture looked a bit old, the sheet metal also that has already been used quite a bit, the bed is not so comfortable , if the room was clean. The food is average, there are days when they serve delicious things and other days they don't do so well. The fruit was always of the best quality, the service, although I understand that they do not have enough staff, was good. I do not recommend paying for the all-inclusive, the pool bar closes at 6 and the lobby bar at 11. The beach is beautiful but it is dangerous to get in if you don't know how to swim, the sea is very rough.

WIFI is very weak. No plugs by the beds to charge my phone. It takes a long time for the hot water to get hot.

Just came home from my 6th visit to the Posada Real (10th time to Cabo) and looking forward to next year. May not be a five star resort and may not be for everyone but for me, service is awesome, people are friendly and from all over the world. One great point is you get to see someone more than once. Food is adequate especially breakfasts, drinks are good, rooms are a little dated but clean. View is SPECTACULAR! Everything you could want is within walking distance or a bus / cab ride into San Lucas for a walk around the marina, drinks at the bars, food and of course shopping. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. See you guys February 2025!

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL.

Food was horrible. I was in shock with the quality of the food and how disgusting it was.
Rooms were dirty and depressing. Old nasty towels. Old nasty bedding. Moldy bathroom and shower.
The pool was so dirty.
I booked via Expedia which was a mistake. I can't get any money back for the fact they even advertise this hotel.
The lobby was so depressing and just really bad decor and atmosphere.
I think the hotel pays people in Mexico to write good fake reviews for them so they can continue to rip people off. It is all LIES. There is no way anyone in the right frame of mind give "5 star" to this hotel.

Dealing with Mexicans is bad, they pay a lot of attention to the gringo and smile at him only for his dollars.
Very good food
They will make you refill your only two water bottles that they give you from the first day until the last of your stay
They take a long time to serve the snack
The beach is beautiful but you can't get in because the waves are super rough.
Their shows at night are very boring
And at the bar I don't know if they use adulterated wise stronger than normal and at night the pool has no lighting at all and the sand is super dirty (it's hard and you can't walk comfortably there barefoot).

Terrible service for national tourists, the cleaning of the rooms is done until 5 pm and they do not throw away the garbage, the food is tasteless and they repeat the same menu every day, you file a complaint and the receptionist just makes fun, the hot water takes a while It takes more than 10 minutes to leave, which results in a waste of water, the door to the balcony does not open and if you report it, the bellman only tells you to play until it opens, the entertainment is very basic, the waiters only pay attention to the foreigners. I definitely don't recommend it and I wouldn't go back either.
