It's never stops whirring

It all started extremely well for me. I was moved from a single room to a double room for no extra fee, and I was grateful for that. Keep it up, guys!

I joined the queue to be seated for breakfast in the morning, and for some reason, I was told that I had not paid for breakfast. I tried to explain that may be since I was moved from a single to a double room, my paid breakfast info was missed. The lady in charge couldn't have that. She tried to phone someone, and the person didn't turn up. It was very embarrassing, to say the least. How could they miss that?

I went back to reception, and the issue was finally resolved. I didn't like being the centre of attraction for the wrong reasons.

Didn't stay but afternoon of fun with Basil Fawlty , Fawlty Towers experience

So good location and breakfast but on the top floors are still under construction.

Too expensive for what you get, there are better options in the area for a similar price range.
The rooms are bare bones, there is no safe in the room, no hair conditioner in the shower, no iron, spare blanket, or a bedside lamp (bed light was a bright down light that shines directly over your head). The chair seat at my desk was broken. You have to take what is essentially a service lift with loud heavy doors up to some of the floors. You can hear people walking past your room very clearly and loudly. Shower goes hot and cold while you use it. No temperature control in the rooms. All decor and rooms beyond the lobby and eating/drinking areas are very boring and dated. The linens are all clean and the bed is comfortable, but the only reason I can see for the price is the buffet breakfast offering is half decent. Staff have all been friendly.

I paid for a room that smelled of fried fish when we arrived and of bacon when we woke up. I had the worst room of the hotel. Also the window didn't clean properly.

The truth is, the staff, very poorly trained when it comes to trying to solve problems. They wanted to change our room 3 times and they even gave us a room with people inside! A disaster, I don't recommend it at all.

Good hotel in a convenient location. Subway not far away, as well as a small supermarket. You can get to the city quickly. Room renovated and ok. Somewhat worn out. Bathroom was great but for us it was always hot and cold alternately 😂 the others didn't have that problem. Beds high and comfortable. Breakfast was also delicious. Continental and English breakfast. 24 hour reception. Everyone very friendly. Nice, large, modern breakfast room. You can store your suitcases when you check out but still have time. Overall good, we would book again. Russell Square subway.

Amazing faulty towers dinning experience

Very comfortable.

The best part was the location where Russel Square station is just 2 min away. Euston, Covent Garden, Leicester are few min away. Rooms and service was satisfactory.

One star for the location and one for breakfast. The hotel is generally very budget-friendly, but what can you expect for around £400 for 6 nights? The room on the 7th floor may be 14 square meters in size, including a tiny bathroom. The room window overlooked the yard and the kitchen fans, which meant constant noise from the fans. On the other hand, would windows facing the street be better, given that single glazing is used in the UK? There is no air conditioning, which can be a nuisance in the summer with single windows. It would be nice to have a shoe shine service at the reception desk. Very good breakfasts, both for vegans and British.

Location was perfect and close to Russell square tube which got us everywhere we needed to be.
Room was clean but very noisy. Staff were polite and helpful and the breakfast was spot on. Good variety of English and continental.

Don't stay here. It is undergoing a massive renovation at the same time as having guests pay full price. Very noisy from 8 am to 5 pm and often until 10 pm.

Our double room was small but sufficient. The view wasn't great. But everything was clean. Personally, I prefer single duvets in the double bed, but that probably defaults to one large duvet for two. The bathroom was also small and clean, probably recently renovated. A little note for Germans: there are no toilet brushes, but as I found out, that's probably not common in London hotels. I was a little shocked for a moment.
During our stay, various rooms on our floor were undergoing renovation work, but during the day, at times when you don't stay in the room because there is so much to see in London.
There was something for everyone for breakfast. We liked it.

In general very happy with the hotel. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, the only thing was that the door and some details were a little old, like the windows, but nothing that would turn you back. The staff's attention was exquisite at all times, and they even came to help late due to a problem. The location is perfect, less than 10 minutes from the British Museum, one block from the metro. Perfect. Recommended!

My Mum and I stayed for 3 nights. We were really pleased with the beautiful, newly decorated room until a large cockroach joined us on the second night. I spoke to Reception. A member of housekeeping did come and spray around the bathroom and assured us that a thorough clean would take place the next day. She was very pleasant and apologetic. We left the 'please service the room' card out the day after, only to find that the room hadn't been serviced at all when we returned to it 10 hours later. Yet again I went down to reception, this time to request clean towels and a bin change. A different member of housekeeping arrived with towels but was clearly disgruntled that she had to go back for bin liners and was not pleasant. I told reception on checkout. I got an apology but wasn't convinced that my concerns would be acted on. Pre Covid I used the Imperial Hotel group on every visit to London and recommended to many friends. I liked the fact it wasn't a large hotel chain. I'm extremely disappointed that what was previously an absolute gem of a hotel group has deteriorated, meaning that I'll have to look elsewhere for my next trip to London.

My daughter spent 2 nights at the hotel last week and she was gladly surprised with the hotel. Excellent location, great staff and perfect hotel. Highly recommended.

President Hotel London offers an ideal option with its central location. Although the rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms are old, the overall stay experience is satisfactory. A suitable choice for good service and comfortable accommodation.
