DO NOT STAY HERE if you are a teenage girl or have young daughters. I am a 17 year old girl. A child, a minor. The security guards standing at the gates of the beach would watch me provocatively everyday while walking to breakfast, the beach, leaving the hotel, etc. I observed if they would do this to anyone else. No, only young girls like me. At first I thought they were just doing their job surveilling the guests, but it was clear that they were watching me and my body as if they haven’t seen a girl wearing shorts and a tank top in 80 degree weather before. If you want to enjoy your beach vacation without feeling extremely uncomfortable to the point where you do not feel safe to leave your hotel room because you feel like you are being stalked and watched, do not come to the Radisson in Grenada. I understand that the Radisson does not have control over the character of their security guards and their actions (which is why I give 2 stars and wish I could give 2.5) but hearing one of the guards telling an adult male tourist passerby to approach me while I was laying on a beach chair and “get what he wants” was the final straw. Where is the professionalism? Other staff were very kind and attentive. Dylan and Akim were nice kind and fun. The staff at the restaurant and bar were great, but the security guards ruined my experience. If you are a young girl like me and your family is considering staying here, please stay safe and make sure that you are with a male or a group while walking near these security guards. They wear yellow shirts. Although this won’t stop these scary men from undressing you with their eyes, hopefully it will give you a greater sense of safety while on your vacation.

Beautiful resort, helpful and polite staff, would certainly recommend!

The best place in Grenada 😍😍😍🤩🤩

Well trained staff, very good service and shady trees on the very best part (widest) of Grand Anse beach away from the cruise ship crowds. The King garden view room 175 on the north east side of the property had excellent (very impressive) high speed WiFi internet connection. There are North American plug outlets. You don't need to bring an adaptor for electronics.

Cons: housekeeping is not thorough. Found garbage (3 chewed up coffee creamer cups) under our bathroom sink which stayed there the entire 5 nights. King garden view room 175 was old and worn out. Satin bed skirt over plywood base.

Blackout curtains don't fully close so bring a clip or pins. The light display on the LG air conditioner is very bright while sleeping. Bring something to stick over the a/c display!

The shower is decent but no shelves to place shampoo or soap. There are 2 double hooks outside on the patio where you can quickly dry bathing suits and wet clothes or towels. There is a retractable laundry line in the shower but things don't dry quickly in the bathroom. There is a safe and 12 hangers in the closet but only 4 small drawers in the bedside tables. You get 2 bottles of water replenished daily and one bottle of vanilla extract as a souvenir. Good towels and hair dryer. There is a clean kettle, to-go cups and lids, small mugs, and small but roomy fridge. There is a single lounge day bed with stained cushions perfect for a third person, and a desk and chair.

Unfortunately, the walls are very thin and you can hear conversation in the next door rooms.

Charmaine at the tour desk provided excellent communication on WhatsApp: you can get tour information emailed to you well in advance by asking Radisson reception.

We booked our 5 nights stay a couple of months in advance on third party Traveluro site. It was not originally supposed to include breakfast. However the front desk receptionists confirmed that there is a new policy to include free breakfast in Priceline, etc. The front desk is excellent with email and face to face communication, so double check before you travel about whether breakfast is actually included in your rate.

Breakfast was very good with a few Grenadian items like cocoa tea, Tania log, salt fish, ground provisions, curry vegetables, fried bakes but very little fresh fruit and no local juice! Lots of variety overall and very quick lineups at the omelette egg station since there are 4 pans. Lineup near the actual raw eggs and tell the cook what you want: can be anything from fried eggs sunny side up to complex omelettes. Can eat outside or inside but watch out for the hungry birds outside.

Beach lounge chairs and towels are plentiful and the security guards help you set up the chairs anywhere along their massive long beach. There are several seagrapes trees to provide ample shade. On the Wednesday, Ryan came to say hi and gave us menus for cocktails and lunch on the beach. We received cocktails in disposable cups and could charge it to our room.

I walked north towards Silversands and the beach was a complete chaotic disaster on cruise ship days. Radisson beach is quiet, spacious and clean. If I was a cruise ship passenger I would set up in front of the Radisson or get a day pass further south away from the tourist traps of the Grand Anse market.

Overall this is a good value hotel that is more like a 3 star hotel because of the worn out condition of the King garden view room 175. But the public areas of the resort, the excellent service (even on the beach one of the days but not every day), and the actual soft sand clean gorgeous beach makes this a must stay if you want to save money. We paid 2278 Grenadian Eastern Caribbean dollars for 5 nights mid March 2024 (455 EC or $227 Canadian dollars per night) which is amazing including breakfast buffet. Would definitely stay here again despite some issues. Thank you to the whole staff!

Please add a "-" in front of the one star above.Checked in at 2.30pm. got shown to our room at 6.18pm, yes,six eighteen pm. After finally changing and deciding to go for a walk on the beach I fell into a huge hole as after nearly 4 hours waiting it was totally dark outside. Sustained deep cuts, scrapes and bruising on my leg/thigh and hands.clearly visible on the pic below is a line where I became wedged in concrete. Was offered the first day of a 5 day stay free for my troubles. (I declined) Was informed by the manager Kennedy that because I was three feet from the property line it wasn't their problem and that I should sue the Grenadian government. I also asked for a doctor,it was not provided.surely the hotel has a duty of care to their guests that should include warnings of imminent danger/holes etc? None were posted. Day two I was locked out of my room. Bear in mind that I was struggling to walk. I asked for help from an employee who told me" it's not my problem" That lady's response summed up my stay in this "hotel" . I'm physically scarred from the stay, the worst trip I've ever taken. Go elsewhere, anywhere!

My fourth stay at this hotel would not change for another.Excellent hotel ,great staff. Thanks to kamille, Aurea, Doren and David for ensuring my birthday experience at the RGBR is one for a lifetime

Fantastic location!!! Very friendly and helpful workers. Dylen, Akim, Kaelin, Alana, Brittani, Mashiva, Ryan, Clyde (and I'm probably missing a couple) all deserve special mention. Great value! The rooms might be a bit dated at this point but, for the money, great and they're comfortable and clean. You probably aren't going to spend much time in the room when there's a beautiful beach AND beautiful pool within steps. Nice outdoor patios or balconies. Everyone is friendly.

I loved this resort!! The staff were super friendly especially the ambassador Akim! He always made sure my friend and I were safe and let us know where all the good local spots were! We will definitely be back😊

Location was great, there was a market right across the street and it is right on the beach. They ran out of beach towels on our second day there and there was a 2 hour wait for more. We requested a microwave on our second morning there to make baby bottles and we never received the microwave. We asked about it again and nobody had an answer on if we’d receive a microwave. It was also very difficult to get in touch with the front desk from our room. The staff in the dining areas were great and the room service was great as well.

WOW, this is the nicest, cleanest, friendliest island i have every been too. Fantastical restaurants and people !

My stay here was amazing, DYLAN and AKIM were great they made sure I was enjoying myself and making sure I was okay the whole time I was there, since this was my solo birthday trip. But when y’all go please attend DYLAN dance class, him and Akim are a beast🔥!!! Moses and Mathew that worked at the bar was great as well! And Chris the taxi drive was real cool he took me out to the waterfalls! Over all stay there and meet them! And I didn’t take many pictures just videos of everything.

Very friendly staff. Convenient location right on the beach. Great restaurants within walking distance

Clean, chilled all facilities including own washing machine and dryer. Swimming pool and sun area clean. We hired a car and found our way round easy. Lance aux pean Beautiful beach 2 min walk and BBC and Grandance beach about 10 minutes drive including supermarkets , banks and street food. Weekends walking distance vibrant music and bars. Would stay again

Beautiful beach resort, great location, pools, and lovely beaches. Friendly atmosphere and very accommodating.

Staff is wonderful the location and weather is amazing

The Radisson is located on the best beach location in Grenada, the Grand Anse Beach. The rooms are clean, the pools are great, and the bars and drinks are pretty good, but the food quality and service speed need lots of improvement. It takes an hour to get lunch, longer to get dinner, the menu is boring and the food is uninspiring. I'll.come back, but we'll eat elsewhere.

Taxi ride from airport is $20 or 50 EC. Location is excellent since the beach is right in front of the property. The ground is nice with pretty garden and one nice pool. Jacuzzi is alright and one of the pool is dated. I can see a lot of debris in other pool. The bottom seems to be in bad shape too. Breakfast is not included. Two adults for breakfast buffet is 160 EC (including vat and service charge) it’s pretty steep. I spent same amount for dinner with lobster the previous night at nearby restaurant. Radison has three restaurants on site with limited food options - Bamboo, Oasis and Sunset. The room is typical and I think they sprayed deet in the room?! I had to air out the place. Stained duvet sheet sadly. Near reception, you can drink complimentary cucumber infused water and rum punch.

There is a supermarket about 5 min walk from Radison.

I recently stayed at the Radisson with much scepticism given the incredibly mixed reviews.

Overall, it is a reasonable resort in a wonderful location. Only 10 minutes from the airport and well connected with buses and taxis, the location on the beach cannot be faulted.

The rooms appear to be a mix. We stayed as aircrew so there were 7 of us - each with differing rooms. It appears that you either get a room in the nicer, newer side of the complex or you get an older room on the other side of the complex. I had one of the newer rooms and it was very pleasant. Slightly dated and simple but no huge complaints. The water takes a very long time to get warm but otherwise no biggie. The older rooms however, are dated and groggy. One of my colleagues reported a rusty bath amongst other unpleasantries. I think Radisson need to address a number of the rooms as it’s a total lottery as to whether you get a decent room or not.

A lot of previous reviews have complained of waiting a long time for food at restaurants and other service issues. I must say, I think management have addressed this as I ordered food and drinks that came very quickly. The food is okay at best, but if you’re eating at a Radisson for a fine dining experience then you’re probably to blame on the first place. Overall the food was good in my opinion.

Where I think this Radisson completely topples over, is the customer service. Some of the staff are delightful and very friendly. Some however are short, unhelpful and borderline rude. The reception staff, in particular, are quiet and unhelpful and don’t make it a very welcoming experience when you arrive. They don’t even tell you where your room is! When I was at the restaurant, I felt as though I had to constantly ask for the waitress’ attention which was frustrating.

All in all, the Radisson is a decent hotel but if I was coming here on holiday instead of work, I’m not 100% sure if I’d stay here. The location and rooms (if you’re lucky) are great, the staff are hit and miss. I travel a lot for work and have stayed in many Caribbean islands, the service at the Radisson Grenada was probably the least welcoming. They did however throw a very nice “Manager’s Drinks” night where you can have a free drink on the management team. It was nice to talk to them and I think they know what needs to transform at this hotel - which is nice to see.

3.5/5

The Pros of the Grenada Radisson are:

- Beautiful location on gorgeous Grand Anse beach with enough chaise lounges and shade under trees on the beach. It was away from the crowded cruise ship beach but close enough to other beach bars and dive shops. The hotel is also right across the street from a supermarket.
- Beautiful landscaping.
- Great large free form pool.
- General cleanliness of common areas, dining ware, and room when it was serviced by housekeeping.

We were fortunate enough to get one of the updated rooms facing the free form pool. The room was roomy enough with an extra lounge bed, patio furniture, chaise lounges on the lawn outside of the patio, refrigerator, large flat screen TV and walk in shower. Good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Here are the CONs of the Grenada Radisson:

- There were no maps of the property - either paper maps or online maps. It's a big property so it would have been nice to be able to get a feel for where stuff was via a map. My partner did not realize there was an onsite dive shop until the last day of our weeklong vacation - and what 3rd pool!?. Also, there was supposed to be orientation every day at 10:00. I arrived at 10:03 one day and allegedly the orientation leader had left as no one was there for it. The next day I arrived 10 minutes early and waited for 30 minutes and no orientation was given. The front desk was too busy to ask to find the orientation leader.
- The hotel food was awful. We waited an hour for pizza that was worse than a reheated frozen pizza that we can get from our supermarket. We also got spaghetti bolognese with sauce that was no better than bottled sauce. I also had a lamb burger one day that was a preformed, tasteless patty. Shrimp Quesadilla had 3 small shrimp in the whole quesadilla. The only decent food were the made to order omelets at the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet itself had good variety, but that variety - including Grenadian dishes - didn't change much from day to day and the offerings were mostly meh.
- The service was hit or miss with it mostly being a miss. As mentioned above, it took an hour to get a terrible pizza and pasta at dinner at the dining room bar! Often waitstaff would walk by totally ignoring us even when we tried getting their attention - or one time they ran after us to pay for a soda water that they had neglected to include on a bill that had taken 30 minutes to get. However sometimes the waitstaff would be very nice and relatively quick.
- Also regarding service, the pool had a 'swim up bar'. However the bar was not staffed and it was difficult to get the attention of the bartenders in the adjacent restaurant bar.
- And the housekeeper did not make up our room 2 days out of 6.
- Key cards failed 3 times. Twice they had to be reprogrammed at the front desk. The third time the door unit had to be disassembled, battery replaced and reprogrammed.
- And why are there comforters on the bed in a tropical locale? It's silly. Just provide light blankets!!

So overall, if you are lucky enough to get one of the updated rooms at the Radisson and just like to laze on the beach or around the nicer pool (the other pool is not nice at all and we never did find the alleged 3rd pool!), and you know not to eat at the restaurant then it's an okay hotel to stay at in Grenada. But if you're looking for a better experience or don't want to try your luck, go elsewhere!

There are many reviews of this property. Many are positive due to the pool and beach. But many are critical of the service and food, which are just like what we experienced. No progress seems to have been made on those issues which is too bad as the Grenada Radisson could be a wonderful hotel on a wonderful location on an awesome beach. But it's not.
