The Riu Lupita is a good lead in hotel in the Riu chain. This hotel is not on the beach, it is smaller and does not have as many facilities as the other RIU hotels in the area. If budget permits, we recommend you look at the Riu Tequila, it is right next to this resort but closer to the beach and has exchange privileges with the Playacar and Yacatan resorts. The package price on this resort is often very attractive.

Its mot what you might expect. Not sure why they position themselves as 5 stars.
We are a family from Uruguay and we went to this 100 percent excellent Hotel. We stayed for 1 week and had a fantastic time. Very varied food of excellent quality and abundant. The natural juices, desserts, etc. plus the drinks and shots they give you. Not only that but the treatment of everyone who works there, the bartender always friendly. The staff of animators are all divine regarding their treatment and way of working with children and adults Hector, Arnold, Moisés, José, mellissa, Lucas and all exceptional. The white party at the Riu tequila plus the foam party at the pool was spectacular. The Beach club on the beach is beautiful along with the pool and the different activities they offer there, without forgetting the food and drinks. The waiters were all friendly, especially Carlos, always helpful and with his good vibes. We wanted to say goodbye to him today but we couldn't reach him. We were very, very happy to have gone to this beautiful hotel. The nature and animals that roam around make it a more welcoming place. I highly recommend it

Excellent option surrounded by nature, totally opposite to the luxury and comfort that riu offers, but if you are a nature lover you have to visit riu Lupita, the entertainment staff is 10, the food is very good and different options
Beautiful
Great resort with an all-inclusive that is worth it, great food in all the buffets and restaurants and very good bar service, especially on the beach. The rooms are always large and clean, with a refrigerator that is replenished.
Transportation to the beach and the center is very good and is not an inconvenience at all, then on the beach you have everything you need. For excursions there is no problem and they pick you up at the same reception.
Special mention to the animation team who are in charge of making fun games and events, especially highlighting Héctor and Arnold, a pleasure to have met them.
It is one of the best options to be in an all-inclusive resort and go out to visit with the excursions, I don't know they need more things.
A great vacation at Riu Lupita. After arriving from a long and tired trip, Gustavo and Olivia took exceptional care of us.
The rest of the days we were able to enjoy cocktails on the beach (Blanca's service is worth highlighting) and good food in a great environment to relax.

Not bad for the $$. Shuttle to the beach club, as this hotel is land locked on the far side of the golf course. Shuttle will also drop you and pick you up close to 5th Ave until 6:30 pm. Food was surprisingly good. The outdoor dining by the pool was very nice. Room I had was great A/C was acceptable and I slept with the patio door open a few nights. This is an entry level Riu property. Less food options than the higher end Riu resorts but I Successfully gained 5 pounds here in a week.

Hotel very well located, the shuttle to go to the beach 10 minutes away and very well organized. Quiet, human-sized hotel with very pleasant staff, the buffet is diverse and very good. No problem getting picked up by excursion agencies,
Shops next to other Riu hotels cheaper than in the city center.
I recommend this hotel for a reasonable budget.

Stay safe stay alive, do t travel alone to these destinations
Do NOT stay at this resort. It is very unsafe and there are some really sketchy things taking place here. I have seen multiple posts about things happening in this area, resulting in drugging and deaths. This resort is known to target individuals, especially while alone, and play it off as they make a public scene, resulting in them being sent to jail cells and found dead in which is covered up as a “suicide”. So please, do not travel here! It is extremely unsafe and something has to be done because they are not being held accountable!
Excellent location and price, Rius in Playacar is the cheapest and most familiar, everyone is very helpful, the food is very good, if you come for work it is an excellent option
I loved it, excellent service, the best of the best, 10 out of 10, I had a lot of fun
