The Riu Naiboa has updated and renovated, which was needed as the resort was getting tired. From what we hear they have renovated the lobby, pool bar and buffet restaurant. There is a new Italian a la carte and all the rooms received a facelift with new bathrooms with walk-in showers. They've also added in-room safes and liquor dispensers to the rooms. If one of the higher-rated Riu's in the area is out of budget, this would be a good option. As always, the service at Riu Resorts is excellent.

Hotel not recommended old facilities with maintenance problems, poor animation, food is not great and basically the only entertainment is that you are drunk so you do not worry about the failures total disappointment with the Riu chain. To put something favorable, the staff is usually quite friendly and professional.

The only thing that stands out is the view and a few people from the service but from then on it is a place from mediocre to bad, starting with the service, they gave us 2 towels and 2 keys only for 4 people at check-in, then at check-in. Check out time, they asked us for 4 towels and 4 keys which if we did not deliver, they would charge us $65 surcharge, a total scam, secondly and the worst in my opinion was the food, almost everything consisted of chicken and pork, not even the slightest seafood, in addition, several meals reheat what is left over from the buffet, which clearly made my entire group sick, since there were many things from 3 meals ago and others raw or burned, fatal, there was no variety of non-alcoholic drinks, and it is not a cheap place, if you go do not expect to have a low cash budget, do not expect good food and take medicine for your stomach, I only recommend the beach, although good luck looking for a free place since there are very few sunbeds, I do not recommend the place, better look for a hotel, or better not visit the country, the treatment is fatal on the part of the Dominicans

Rooms and AC has very bad smell , AC was barely cold. So unhappy left a day early and my girl got bed bug bite.
Good hotel in value for money
This is very terrible and a low blow they stole every boxers out of my grandson suitcase and leave only one, they stole his t,shirts and shorts from his suitcase , please be careful of the cleaning ladies they are thiefs...so disappointed
Dirty EVERYWHERE, the cleanest bathroom in the whole place is the one on the lobby, cleaner than the one in my room. Food is disgusting, food is not labeled you don’t know what you’re eating, drinks machine rarely ever worked. Alcoholic drinks are disgusting, beach is about a 8min walk. Beach is dirty trash and full of seaweed, but that is pretty common in DR so no fault to Resort. Pool is full of sand. Rooms are outdated. AC is not cool, but manageable. Staff is nice and friendly.

the negatives: despite several requests we waited our entire stay for the folding bed we never had. And especially for the free activities arm yourself with patience they drive us crazy, come back tomorrow today we can't ... same for the diving initiation we had to go to another riu 15 minutes away to be able to do it .
