White beaches with private boardwalks and crystal blue water line this beautiful oceanfront property. Guests at the Royal Decameron Montego Bay can enjoy time in the resort's two swimming pools, both with views of the sea and one with a swim-up bar. At night, try various international and local dishes in Passa Passa and Souk Restaurants before taking in the nightly show and dancing at our private disco. Great value at this Montego Bay resort.

The customer service in the dining area at Montego was the worst.

Very nice place, easy vibe, good food. We had a great room on the second floor main lobby view on the beach ⛱️ 😎 wagwann !! Love it there

Hello, I have just returned from a 10 day stay in this hotel. Loaded with memories, a total change of scenery. I was able to discover part of this paradise thanks to PACO, you can't miss it. He is always in front of the hotel entrance barrier, you just ask for PACO, he knows everyone. He took me to the Bob Marley the King of Reggae museum in KINGSTON. We took the opportunity to go to TRENCHTOWN, it was a magnificent day 🤩 we also went to BLUE HOLE the water was clear blue surrounded by the green nature of Jamaica 🇯🇲 and there we bathed, we jumped into the water waterfalls in short I can't write you everything on the site (I would need a week 😂)
Have a good stay for those who go, Jamaica 🇯🇲 is a paradise and don't forget if you want successful outings contact PACO 🇯🇲🏝️

We booked for 14 days. Food was ok, not to much change from day to day. Service was poor , no one could multitask had to ask for everything, staff need training. we found that one server in the dining room, her name was ⭐️CARLA⭐️, we never asked for a drink refill and dirty plates were immediately removed from out table when we were finished with them.

Lack of space and variety

Best Jamaican holiday yet! My new home away from home! The staff here are truly amazing!! They made our vacation as special as it was!!!!

The front desk staff at Royal Decameron Montego Bay was not courteous. They don’t even smile or greet the guests properly. Just to book an evening restaurant they made me come 3 times. We are completely on their mercy for any free service in the hotel. For paid services , they will take prompt action and will follow up as well. Food and food service was not great.I was so disappointed and my overall experience was not good. The only good thing about this place is entertainment. Day and evening entertainment were awesome.

There's nothing bad to say about this place. Housekeeping keeps the rooms extra extra clean (always tip them). Food is fantastic, beach is amazing on the cornwall side and the staff are on all great. The spa is way over priced and you need to really work at the employees to get a discount, but it was a great message. Still a lot of repairs going on, on the montego Beach side from the Feb 2024 storm, but the work is almost done. Slowly but surely.

Overall experience at this hotel was good. Kinda outdated and needs improvements. The only issues i have with this hotel is that my room had no running hot water. I relayed this information to the front desk twice in the morning. My response; was maintenance will look into it; still no hot water. Next was flys and nets around and on fruits and salads at the table; it would be considerate if they had covers to prevent flys on food, this is unsanitary. Mind you; certain foods had covers not all. Other than that, the food was great, entertainment was great and most of staff was polite and helpful. I would've give 4 stars but these issues are a concern. I really enjoy my vacation here.

The rooms are very dirty like they use the same dirty water to clean the floors since there is no elevator on the property there were bugs in the room. The ac was leaking on the floor.. There is no or limited beach if you want to go to the beach you have to go to the next door property. The bathroom is in the worst shape really need a full renovation the tub is very old starting to fade.. The entiry property need to be renovated and updated. The outside is falling apart. The staff was friendly.

The services they claim to have do not match what they really offer.

This hotel give me a terrible experience, the check in was a Nightmare, Theodore did my check in, I got there around 1:30 pm, he told me that the check in it’s from 3:00 to 5:00pm, I say NO, I show him my print out, he read it and told me, I don't have any control of what they put in my confirmation, that I need to call, the company I used to buy the package, I let him know that I had a headache and need to take a shower, he ignoring me, I also let him know that I pick Jamaica to celebrated my birthday and the day after my friend will arrived, he ignoring me.
I contact my company, they don’t understand that you don’t want to deal with customer services at your vacations time, take me few hours.
In the afternoon I come back, I ask a person in reception who is Mr. Theodore supervisor, they let me know Andrew Jonas.
I ask if I can talk to him, she ask me if everything was ok, I tell her my experience, she call and explain to Mr. Jonas my situation, he told her that he is busy in the othe Decameron next door, I feels like he dismiss my complaint, I take the time to walk to the other Decameron, I went to reception and he was there doing nothing !!! I tell that I want to do a complaint form, he give me a empty paper to write the complaint, he never follow up, he saw me many time but never say anything, on my room one night a lot of water coming from the roof in the bathroom, they sent someone to fix, this guy told me that I need to move to another room, I was waiting and waiting and nothing, I have to go to reception to ask finally they give me a room, If I don’t ask nobody will let me know nothing.
I hope people read this review before the book in this hotel.

First, I'll say that I went against most of the negative reviews thinking maybe they were exaggerating a bit. But no, the front desk staff were just as RUDE as the pervious guests said! Check-in experience was bad and we waited almost 2 hours before we got our key. The room was clean though, I must say, and the food was about a 7/10 on a daily. So yourself a favor and stay at the Cornwall Beach location right next door. The staff and accommodations there are much better!

Unless you like bugs in your drinks and ants in your bed, I don’t recommend. 0 stars !

The only thing Royal about this Decameron is the ants and bugs! We had ants on the headboard, in the sink, bugs on the floor and walls. We asked for another room and they couldn’t switch us until the next day. I ended up getting bit on my legs while sleeping (which we barley could do due to fear of bugs) Once we got the new room, no more “bugs” but there were still ants all over. No refrigerator, no lock on the doors, and the elevators don’t work.

Don’t be fooled by the pics , the Decameron Montego Bay is different than Decameron Cornwall. This review is based off the Montego Bay stay.

They ruined my birthday trip and I literally cried. The only good thing is the ocean view. This hotel is so outdated and they use motel type air condition units. Motel 6 would’ve been the same or = to this dump. I refused to have “adult time” in these beds

We left and stayed at the Sea Garden which was so much better.
