Our Opnion

The Royal Solaris Cancun is a great place to stay for both families and couples alike. While the atmosphere caters more to couples, the resort has an amazing kids club that is perfect for families. There are decent a la carte and buffet items to choose from at this resort. The grounds are well maintained. While the rooms appear older than what you'd experience at an all-inclusive, they are still well maintained. The gym area though does need a little bit of an upgrade. Great staff here. They ensure that you're getting the most out of your trip.

Rooms are a little on the small side.
Service is outstanding. Jessie was amazing.

I believe a 3/5 is fair. Upon checking in I was told I was not getting the King bed I reserved and paid for fully online. We were given double beds and were told “it’s based off availability” so beware if you book from a third party, it came off as false advertising. The lady at the front also did not make us feel better, she could have said there was a wait list or anything.. we are a couple and did not want to be roommates in separate beds. Luckily after the second day we just asked for a room upgrade and we were helped by a kind gentleman that ran the show, his name was Danny and he made our stay amazing. The pool bar was nice, the drinks were weak however and the food was not great at all. Other than that the rooms were great and room service was on it! The walls were thin we heard everything going on in the hall and next door, I don’t think I would be back but it did its job for our time there.

I was at the hotel in 2013. At the time, the rooms deserved to be renovated and I saw in the photos that they had been renovated. The food was excellent, the service and the service in general as well. The drinks were great and the entertainment with the children was very organized. The hotel is located on the so-called hotel road in Cancun and the beach area is very beautiful.

Very good place

Love this place! It is like home to me..

The hotel is quite old. Elsewhere, the tiles in the pool are falling off. Cleaning is great! But when something is old - cleaning will not save. We were changing rooms because the first one was on the first floor right next to the ventilation motors. The noise was unbearable even behind the closed balcony. We were promised a move the next day at 11 am, but we waited until 3 pm. And at the reception, they constantly promised "in 10 minutes". Therefore, this day of rest was spoiled. There are not enough workers in the mini club, children are not allowed to play in the game room without their parents, only in pool, because there is no one to look after them. But the workers are very diligent and nice! From cleaners to waiters! But not on reception, they also tried to charge us government fees twice! And don’t spend your time on restaurant “Caribe”’

I will definitely return, excellent treatment from all the staff, very good food in all the restaurants, very comfortable room, cleaning service without any problem, they make your stay very pleasant. If you have contracted the all-inclusive, uff, it's worth every penny! By the way, the shows at night in the hotel theater make you have a great experience!!

Excellent everything

Excellent vacation spot, good price

The stay at the hotel was very pleasant, everything was very clean, tidy, very delicious food, very attentive and dedicated staff. The only thing I suggest is that you check the leaks that I saw present in 2 rooms (they had to change us from the room we were assigned, since there was a significant leak from the latticework on the bathroom ceiling). Otherwise they solved the problem for us instantly. Excellent place to rest with the family.

I liked the place, I had doubts about how they would treat us because of the comments, but the truth is everyone was friendly, the room was good and by the way they changed us to an ocean view (thank you) the children's area was great for my daughter, the bar and The reservation restaurants are a mega plus… it's very cool, it's just that those reservations run out very quickly but everything is ok

All inclusive hotel. The rooms are always good, the service too. We went in low season and the attention was incredible. Everyone very friendly. It is located very well, so you can take the bus to go to the aquarium or shopping. The beach is very well maintained and so are the pools. The smoothie service was not very good (all artificial) and there was no cafeteria during the day except room service.
The animation is very good, always ready. Incredible pizza and truly amazing restaurants within the complex.

If you're looking for a place to rest, relax and have a nice food, this is definitely not for you. The worst part is the food and beverages that are really bad quality, forget to eat mexican, it's actually bad quality american cuisine. The hotel is located at the end of the hotels area and the beach is full of huge rocks so you can only bath in a very small section and is still dangerous if windy. Service was not great, weird coming from mexicans that in my opinion are the friendliest people. Also, the hotel is very old and dirty, común areas are in very bad shape. Finally, the hotel is open to college kids and they're drinking all day long and make a lot of noise overnight... expect several sleep interruptions and not quiet times in common areas during the day.

This Cancun all-inclusive resort offered an exceptional experience, seamlessly blending luxury with convenience. From the moment of arrival, the staff's warm hospitality set the tone for a memorable stay. The resort's pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters provided a picturesque backdrop for relaxation and water activities. The all-inclusive dining options exceeded expectations, with a wide array of culinary delights to satisfy every palate. Whether indulging in fresh seafood by the shore or savoring authentic Mexican cuisine, each meal was a culinary delight. The resort's amenities, including pools, spa, and entertainment, ensured there was never a dull moment. Overall, it was a rejuvenating retreat in paradise.

I’m still at 1623 room leaving tomorrow morning. I came yesterday early morning around 6:37 am local time. Wifie & me & my 7 months old son.
The front desk clerk did my registration and said that my room was going to be ready by 3 o’clock and my terrible day was getting worst.
In resume I came that early because of the flight. I was cranky because she needed to pump, wash milk bottles & find a silent spot for my baby to be able to sleep . She lost 15 ounces of breast milk. She pumped her milk in front of front desk without any privacy.
I made I trip to the reception offered to pay 1/2 price a room just to have some privacy so my baby could get some sleep. 30 min later I made a third round saying I was willing to pay full price for a room.
I didn’t get any good answer. I requested for a manager & so far I haven’t met the guy(Juan) btw I didn’t get the last name, formality is not there strongest . I’m sure I’m not the first with early check in & these kind of needs. So sad the crew don’t have the service culture or willing to go an extra step to help the client with any kind of needs. March 06.

Horrible experience at the beach they had a coast guard that was very violent, my husband was swiming and the guard started being very offensive my husband swam to get out at talk to him and suddenly he just started being violent physically I ran to them and said to him that Its not ok to be aggresive and he started being violent (oral) to me, a security guard from another hotal that was nearby came and while talking to him to explain THE COAST GUARD THROW SAND TO OUR FACES INCLUDING THE OTHER GUARD
The coast guard is around 40_55years old, completely hairless with red and white uniform BE AWARE OF THIS GUY ITS DANGEOURS AND AGRESSIVE EVEN WITH WOMEN !

We made a report at the lobby but we never heard back about a solution to stop this awful situations.
The hotel all inclusive is great but they should be aware of the people at the beach and be sure the coast guards know how to do their jobs without being violent to the tourists. Its was pretty scary and I dont think of coming back if that coast guard Its working on the beach side.

We had the best time at ROYAL SOLARIS CANCUN!! Will highly recommend and come back here again. Staff was amazing.

I went there on my honeymoon in 1995. We had a wonderful time.
