Friendly people, great food, the view on the cliffs is amazing.
Hello the resort itself needs an upgrade for the amount of money they charge you .I have been to many countries and hotels and They “all Inclusive “isn’t all inclusive.You are limited to food &drinks and the staff serve you &will catch an attitude if you come back for seconds.All the staff there literally have an attitude problem Besides the lady who checked us in i think her name was Jennifer and Tina .Tina was a nice pleasant young lady,No attitude and if i can only had tipped her i would have .They shouldn’t share tips because the rest of the staff didn’t deserve tips.The other guests that stayed while we were there agreed about the staff and they attitudes and being very nasty with people for no reason.The staff at Legends was way more kinder as well .The transportation was nicer then the hotel staff (Ryan ) I won’t recommend anyone to stay here at this hotel .
I'll be going back
They do not return the $100 deposit, which for some reason is taken upon check-in. FAILURE TO PAY THE DEPOSIT YOU WILL NOT REFUND IT. The hotel is old and unkempt. I give one star only because the girls at the reception are very nice.
Very nice hotel with real Jamaican cuisine and great staff!! There is so much space on the terrace! We were thrilled!
We walked into a very clean and tidy room with one of the best views you could ask for with the pool mear feet from our back door. The updated bathroom was all we needed. The staff were all extremely friendly and bent over backwards for anything you wanted. I still can't get over the girl that made our eggs in the morning doing everything that she accomplishes herself! Loved our bartenders too. The grounds oozed Jamaica without being over modernized and was very relaxing with lots of room to spread out. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star as the food was good but a little thin on choices for lunch and supper and the bar closed at 10 p.m. but you could "load-up" then and they were slightly flexible on the close up. I kept a few extra beers in the mini fridge and kept a bottle in the room so it wasn't a super big deal. It is close to numerous places to eat, listen to bands and party, most of which you can walk to or a short cab ride to many others. All in all, we loved it. Thanks Samsar. We will be back. P.S. The breeze off the ocean was perfect for the sun and heat.
Im here with my wife for 2 weeks. Quayet room ground floor room 102. Perfect for us. Simple, but this is what we need. Very clean. Staff are nice. If you need a relaxing place to stay. This is place for you. Very safe to.
We spent a week at Samsara at end of February 24. This is a much different resort than we are used to , so first couple days we were undecided. We started out in the older ocean view room they were very nice no issues with room or cleanliness, but the bed didn't give me support I needed . Without hesitation they moved us to the new building, much better bed for a large person we did pay for upgrading but we'll worth the money. The staff bar ,room and restaurant are great . food is very good I would recommend try everything the vegetables all very fresh as is any fish on offer . Of course they do Jerk chicken and pork omg best I've had .
Special shout out to Jenny at the front desk 😀 great lady. The owners are very involved in all things and it shows. So if you want to relax and enjoy the sun and surf this is the quite place to recharge your batteries. If your into wild parties and loud music not for you . They do get a good reggae band in twice a week . Just like to add not really a resort issue more a Sunwing thing but the bus ride had many stops from airport. In the future we will be getting Samsara to pick up at airport and go directly to hotel ya it's a additional cost but trust me it's worth it
I loved this place. Excellent food, excellent views. Room was in a brand new building and great. The older buildings were in need of some repairs that they were addressing. Staff was awesome! Ya mon!
We had such a good time at the Samsara, cliff jumping was so nice and the free shuttle to the beach resort with all inclusive there too was definitely a plus. Food was good, drinks were strong and the employees were so sweet. I will be back
I had the most amazing time, staff were so nice. There were five of us and they always made sure are tables were made up for that extra place (tables were for 2/4 seating. Cook Georgia when there made sure there were enough dumplings for my granddaughter. Tina was great also Mr hendrick, they all were. Tho treatment from some customers were not necessary and deserved. Appalled by there behaviour. Overall, would stay again. Bless up from Marcus, crystal, Ms Lorene, Sahara n sharia.
I paid roughly $192 per night and stayed there only because of work. The staff were absolutely rude for the both times I stayed there. Jennifer at the front desk said she was happy that I won’t be returning. The rooms are atrocious; one of the rooms I stayed in did not have a dead bolt lock, the bathroom tiles had mold and the towels were stained. I had booked both reservations ahead of time and tried to cancel at the property when I was leaving. I was told to cancel online (I was within the 7 day cancellation window and would’ve lost my money if I did).
You are better off trying another property.
Was on the third floor had to walk up steps no elevator and had to ask for towels 2days it was 3 of us in a room not enough towels.
Real relax
Just got home from a week in Jamaica. 4 nights in Ocho and then 3 in Negril at Samsara! So glad we decided to visit Negril! Samsara has so much character and the setting and employees are incredible. We had rough seas 2 days so couldn’t swim in the ocean but the pools were nice. Close to the beach, great restaurants and entertainment. Last day we could jump and swim off the resort and it was heaven. There is an old and a new side and there is a difference so know what you’re booking.

No activities
Great place friendly staff, even after a big storm they had the place cleaned up fast.
Samsara is beautiful and quiet and you have a beautiful view.
Also positive was the free shuttle that runs twice a day to Legends.
Unfortunately, the rooms were not clean, the selection at the buffet was very limited and some of the staff were very unfriendly!
I wouldn't recommend this for the price/quality ratio!
I don't know what one star people are looking for in a hotel in this price range. We stayed for a week, we ate very well, everyone was very kind, as for insects, well, we are on an island in the Caribbean, even my house in Italy is full of insects. For towels it's true, only one, but they change them every day, a couple of times we didn't find them in the room but after reporting it to the reception they were immediately brought to us. A couple of times we returned late from trips and by calling them they made us find some delicious hot boxes of food at the bar when we arrived. Everyone was friendly, especially the waiter, I think the manager, of the restaurant, always present and with a smile. The only flaw is that you can't find food outside meal times, but this is common with other facilities, and the location, but someone is always present for a taxi
Samsara offers a different experience than your usual big “party” resort. While there is a lack of in-resort experiences, you are in close proximity to the beach where you are able to find and book many excursions. The resort itself is perched on beautiful cliffside, where you can watch the sun set as well as experience some of the best snorkelling sights. The staff is outstanding, with bonus points to Tina the incredible bartender, and Melvin the very informative groundskeeper. Our stay wouldn’t have been the same without them!
